First handful of appointments went fine, most probably due to the medication that they can liberally dispense. Recently, however, while in for crown placement I had a mold taken to replace a nightguard. The mold was taken, and I came back two weeks later to get it and was dismayed to find it was a big clunky nightguard not at all like the one my former dentist had made and not one I could sleep with. I honestly didn't know this kind was still made. I informed Dr. Miller that I had tried those in the past and could never sleep with them in and didn't think it'd work. He left to talk to the office manager, his wife, and I was left waiting so long (was supposed to be a quick visit and I was way over time too) I didn't know what was going on, so I left the room to head to the front. The office manager, Nici met me there and I showed her a picture of the nightguard I had thought I would be getting, she said she would call my former office. I said okay, that'd be great and they'll know me. She gave me a very snarky "Oh, I'll bet they do" comment. I later sent the office a text expressing my frustration with how rude and unprofessional that comment was when I meant that I had been going to my former office for nearly twenty years and the staff bought me baby gifts! I have a very good relationship with everyone there. No one responded to my text and my husband was later given a vague "sometimes words have different meanings" statement. She also admitted that they keep show nightguards in the office and that it could have been avoided if one was shown to me. When I went back to pick up the new nightguard I was told that it was not the dentist's fault that the nightguard didn't work (agreed - it was honest miscommunication on all fronts) and that I had caused too much stress on the dentist (cited lack of sleep and trying to find a new solution as the stress) and that they could no longer see me as a patient as a result. So, an honest misunderstanding with no heated exchanges or crazy demands (simply stating I knew this type of nightguard didn't work for me) resulted in me getting kicked out. In fact, the office manager was the one who was rude to me! It was embarrassing to have all the front staff know when I left too, and this was the second time that had happened. Another time I gave personal medical information because it might have relevance for treatment and as I left it seemed everyone made comments. YIKES! Now, the place is clean, and they can get work done so if you are north of Spokane that's nice. But honestly, the unprofessionalism was shocking. I'm not sure how they can say they deal well with anxious people and then completely lose it over a simple miscommunication. Later my husband went back, and Dr. Miller started making bizarre claims about me not being ''normal'' and a whole bunch of other weird stuff that was according to him almost nonsensical. Also.. if you aren't easy then you're a problem apparently. If you go - just don't piss off the office manager!

This is the South Hill Office - I came in with my 19 yo daughter who was referred to have her…read morewisdom teeth pulled. Since she is 19 she is considered an adult. The finance lady (Kara) had called her and told her the bill would be $1700. My daughter told the lady that she cannot afford that bill. The finance lady said oh don't worry about it. Insurance will cover most of that and the bill will be way less. I like to give you a high number just in case. She never called my daughter back. On the day of her appointment they brought her back and started her visit. Halfway through the visit and right before she was set to get an IV the financial lady (Kara) came in and told us the bill would be $1529. I was in shock and I asked why. She said we had used 62% of our alloted annual maximum and that we had to pay the difference in full. Mind you it is mid November and that my annual maximum would reset 1/1/2023. When I asked how much would it be in January she said oh I don't have those numbers. She then told my daughter "We discussed this." My daughter was so scared she didn't know what to say. Kara said we can do payments but who cares. It doesn't change the cost. This procedure could have been done in January for $1000 less than the current visit. I left furious and Kara basically said well your daughter is 19 and I do not have to inform you. But I will take your credit card. So after my daughter had her procedure she explained to me what Kara had told her. She NEVER called her back with an updated estimate and they WAITED until she was in the chair and about to get an IV to spring that bill on her. Mind you she is 19. If I was not there how in the world would she have paid that? And what would they do at that point? Put her on a payment plan? Make her open a credit card? This is SO SHADY. You deceive her with an amount. Tell her don't worry it will be way less, get her in the chair halfway through the exam and then spring that 1529 bill on her. That is completely unfair. You could have put her into a debt that she could not pay as a 19 yo. You basically deceived her. And then when I came out furious Kara basically blamed my daughter. This was her fault. She never gave a real estimate, told her it would be way less when she said she can't afford that and then said nothing until she was about to have a needle put in her vein. I plan to file complaints with my insurance company, BBB, notify my dentist and dispute my card. I have never been put in a position like that before. If it was me I would have completely walked out. But because it was my daughter what am I going to tell her? Get up we are leaving? And what would you have done to to her had I not been there. Please do not use this place. This was so awful what they did. I felt bullied into a bill that was unnecessary and cost me $1000 right around Christmas. I don't like being bullied.

Despite it being the early morning and tired, I was in a relaxed state and was still informed of everything being done while still conscious. I heard their efforts are quick, professional and steady and as for pain, I was handled and taken care of and am now just on the journey of an easy recovery! Thought I was having a root canal by another dentist and found I needed to have the tooth pulled…read more.. within 2 hours I was in Liberty Oral and Facials office. The whole office was amazing! Dr McLelland put me at ease, as I was nervous and anxious. He explained everything, showed me the X-rays explaining the procedure. He sedated me, pulled the tooth, I woke up and all was good. Dr McLelland called me that night to make sure everything was good and there weren't any issues, which I thought was a nice personal touch! All my follow up visits to both the Spokane Valley office and Post Falls offices, were exceptional! The staff at both offices were super helpful, friendly and professional! I wish I could remember all their names! I know there is a Denise and Hallie at the Post Falls office. Dr McLelland you need to buy both offices Lunch! ‍

I knew after my visit this morning though that I had to. I wish I knew my hygienists name but I was very overwhelmed when I left that I forgot to ask. I have been going through a lot and this came up when updating my medical history. They were so thoughtful and kind to me and went out of their way to make me feel calm and comfortable. I've never felt relaxed at the dentist and this visit was the spa experience I needed! Forever grateful for this place and it's wonderful team of caring professionals!
