shelves of liquor in a liquor store

Still a spot that prices above msrp but manageable and fair...most bottles are Just a shade below secondary prices. They do have a nice selection throughout the store. You a bound to find something whether it's on their multi-leveled shelves, tables, or in boxes. They even have store picks! Will definitely be back. Enjoy.

shelves of wine in a wine shop

If for nothing else, Batch 13 is a beautiful liquor shopping experience. It's in the heart of 14th Street NW with two levels of every kind of alcohol imagineable. They have gin, bourbon, whiskey, vodka, mixers, wine, beer, cider from all across the globe. It's amazing to just look at each beautifully designed bottle. They also prioritize local booze. The prices are a little steep, but what isn't in DC anymore?

Personable, professional, knowledgeable, & diverse stock. It could be at the local liquor store but I only shop here. From the hugs at the door, samples, and fair pricing I can't imagine supporting another! Have the exotics like Kavlan to the daily/local spirits. STOP BY, experience & support

Fun beer selection, labeled by freezer with sticky notes (IPAs, Belgian, etc)

So many tastings, so little time! I don't know how often they roll out the samples the way they were when I stopped in during the holiday season, but there were five or six labels doing tastings, many of them with five or more goodies to try. And since I firmly believe spit buckets are for sissies, I was definitely aglow with the, uh, holiday spirit by the time I left. I also took some time to look around a bit before I got bleary-eyed (also during and after), so I can note that there's a hefty selection of craft beers, conveniently organized and labeled by brew type (pale ales, belgians, etc.), with many categories filling an entire freezer. I don't know shit about wine but there seemed to be a lot of it, and there were also tons of liquors that I didn't recognize in cool bottles and such, bitters, etc., so I'm thinking this'd be a great place to score an easy gift for your favorite classy drunkard. Also, numerous entertaining signs reveal that they carry kegs. So, there ya go. You've got your birthday gifts, cocktail parties and keggers covered in one spot. Boom.

So many choices.

We brought a bottle of a portuguese white wine (Anjos Vinho Verde) to a party last weekend, and it was gone within 5 minutes - and there were plenty of other options. It's that good - plus, at two bottles for $20, pretty reasonable, considering the quality one would get for comparable prices at Cork and/or Whole Foods. I've heard (through Justin C and UrbanDaddy - wait, I've never seen them both at the same time... coincidence?) that they'll soon be hosting rooftop tastings, which may be enough to push Batch 13 into the five-star realm. We'll just have to wait and see. In the meantime, there's a gloriously full selection of beers and wines, and promise of an equally broad selection of hooch in the not-too-distant future.

Great selection, but the prices are obscenely marked up, and the staff are arrogant and rude. Don't shop here.

I was…read morelooking for this certain tequila that came out a few months ago and it did not feature any locations that were close to me but on my road trip, I saw this tequila was available on our route. The parking was a bit difficult because the only parking I believe that was available was on the street. Luckily we did find a space we could pull up to so I could run into the store for about 5 minutes to pick up what I was looking for and grab another goodie. The tequila was right at the checkout counter so check out was a breeze. This place definitely saved the day and I was able to try the tequila that I had been longing to taste for a few months or so. And it was just OK BTW. But I love the bottle. Definitely check them out. They may have some spirits that you don't even know about...hidden gems indeed. But if I'm in the area I would definitely check this store out over and over. Have fun and enjoy life :)

You'll find this very spacious and well appointed liquor store directly next-door to a Subway shop…read more and a small restaurant called Al tiramisu. Once inside it really hits you just how extensive the selection is. They really invested heavily into the inventory on the shelves here. And just when you think you've seen it all, there's a whole other room downstairs filled with an extensive wine selection. You can pick up large format bottles of high-end wine in wooden boxes or check out the temperature controlled wine cellar. You can also pick up a wedge of cheese and something out of the cigar humidor. They do have a decent craft beer selection, just not as extensive, unless of course you check out the goose Island bourbon barrel beers of which they have many vintages of. As you can see in the photos/video below, this is definitely a destination spot.
