I often come here with my grandfather who enjoys batting. We always have a great time and have our laughs and cries. Until one day when I was trying to get drunk on a Saturday night and these two young men named Shane and Randy, who work here, didn't text me back, so my grandfather quit the batting cages and I didn't get drunk on Saturday night. 3 stars for the pizza though read more

No cardboard pizza like at roller rinks. Pizza pies are fresh tossed. Calzones are made to order, whatever you want inside. Pastas and salads. The first time I came here I was meeting friends who simply said, "let's meet at the batcave and hit some balls". How was I supposed to know I didn't need to be in my batman uniform? Jesus, you would've thought I showed up in my birthday suit with all the looks I got at this place. It's hard to hit a baseball when you are wearing a cape ok. I took my wife out to these batting cages, and definitely had a good time. The distance that the ball travels is short, so it seems like it is going faster, but other than that the ball placement was consistent and so was the speed. I will definitely be returning to these bat cages in the future! read more

I like this place! There aren't too many batting cages in Los Angeles, and this one is not crowded, or run down. I wish they had wooden bats available, and that they would let us choose our own bats. They have weighed balls not actual base/soft balls - not that big of a deal, but it makes me miss the cages in Chicago. Regardless, I had a great time and would definitely come back! read more

This review is of the snack bar only. Unbelievable rudeness. My drink didn't taste right - I brought it back to have her check - and the customer service was horrible. Saying the cup was empty and I had let the ice melt. The cup was 2/3 rds full - had very little ice and had been mostly warm. But I am a grown ass 50 something year old woman - to treat me as if I'm some lying kid...she then said she would give me half a cup of something...I told her I didn't want anything from her. Customer service! Apologize and ask how you can fix it. Maybe there's something wrong with the dispenser- maybe I'm not out to cheat you but to bring a fixable problem to your attention. And maybe you will never get my money ever again. read more

Overall, this is a great location to take the kids out for an afternoon of fun. They have batting cages, arcades, and food. I only go here to use the batting cages and if I'm in the area. The cages are too small cuz you cant follow thru with your swing without hitting the net with your bat. Its usually crowded and parking can be tough but they do have street parking which also gets full. read more

The place is a really quaint, but nice facility with a handful of batting cages. Problem is that they are slightly on the small side, but perfect for smaller players. There's a small arcade, a pool table and even an air hockey table for those not wanting to swing the bat. The food is marginal, and with similar taste. For what it is worth, it was a pretty fun visit with my girlfriend and her son. My only complaint was the employee who was on his iPad the entire time with headphones on ignoring customers, acting like he was being inconvenienced when he was asked questions, getting people's needs mixed up (i.e. someone needed change, he gave them tokens), and when he was asked a question he kept his eyes on his iPad and sat down when the customer was still standing wanting to ask another question. I assume he must have been kin to the owners or management because he took the keys and opened the candy vending machine, taking what he wanted and proceeding to sit back down with his beloved iPad. BATCADE is my favorite batting cage. Although quite away from my home it is still a great place to swing away at baseball's and softballs. $4 dollars buys a token that gives 30 balls of either baseball or softball. There is also a choice to pay for time instead of tokens. Inside the actual facility there is a food stand and an arcade with a pool table but I always just bat instead. The staff is very friendly and will help you out if you have a problem of any sort. Visit this spot for a good time. It does get very busy but if you have them time, you'll have a good time read more

Wow, I can't believe how much fun I've missed out on having by not coming here sooner. Seeing as how from the exterior it's practically invisible with it's mesh cloth covering providing some kind of crazy camouflage and a sign that really doesn't draw attention, I'm not surprised that I drove by so many times. I was almost afraid to go since I couldn't tell anything about the place from the outside. There's plenty of street parking, and once you step through the nondescript entrance you're in cageland. There's benches and several round tables outside, so that you can sit outside the cages and watch your friends or enjoy a slice of hot and fresh pizza. The softball cages are closest to the front entrance, with the baseball cages further on. Past the tables on the left is the entrance to the arcade, the Pizza place, and the desk to pay for the cages. They also offer a large room over to the right for parties. The young men who work here are all very nice and patient with questions and helping you get the right bat or helmet. If you're a novice coming in for the first time, they won't intimidate you or make you feel like you don't know what you're doing. The arcade has some fun games that I like to play - air hockey, PacMan, Cruising USA (a classic!). You can spend a few tokens while you're waiting for your slice of pizza! I can't remember the name of the pizza place, but they offer a great slice and tasty bottled IBC root beer, a refreshing treat after wearing yourself out in the cages. As for the cages themselves, I've only tried softball and I haven't had any trouble. I've read here that the baseball cages are a little smaller than the softball cages so your bat might hit the back. I had plenty of room for softball, and was able to jump around and switch hit without feeling claustrophobic. I recommend a pair of batting gloves. It had been years since I'd been in a cage and I ended up getting a groovy blister my first time back because my hands were callous and glove free. I also should mention that you can buy a value pack of time. 15 minutes (at 120 balls) is $12, but if you buy the value pack you get ten 15 minute sessions for only $80. That's a $40 savings, math whiz. Buy the value pack your first trip in, because you're going to be coming back here often! read more

brought my girly here to swing on some balls . The staff was very nice and helpful (we had a hard time figuring out how to work it. well my girl thought the coins she was given was change from 20 dollars we gave him but in actuality they were the coins to get the batcages started. therefor, we never knew how to get it running) But the guy was very patient with us and kept turning it for us. I only rate this a 3 because we went there with the intentions of having a day at the arcade and shoot some pool after the batting cages however, the arcade room looks like its from 1987 (love the retro games but not wat i was looking for) and the pool table was useless. Also the arcade room was approx 300 square feet. I recommend to those who solely want to go to practice their swing. read more

I am an amateur batter who enjoyed this place. Should of? Could of? Stop thinking about it and swing batter, batter swing! Just do it. Be cautious with the token machines. Like a previous Yelper, I found the two young dudes working the counter last Saturday to be pretty much useless. Lord nows I've slacked my way through plenty of crap jobs, but sliding over helmets, bats and tokens requires only a modicum of effort. It was clearly a strain and annoyance for these champs. It was my first time at a batting cage so I didn't have any expectations but the employees were super nice and it wasn't crowded nor was it completely empty. This place has horrible customer service and business practices! I took my 15 year old son for the first time and paid 45$ for one hour- there weren't that many people there so it was irritating that we had to go get someone to unclog the machine 3 times in the first 20 minutes. Bring your own helmets because the ones they provide are gross; the one they gave me had the inside cushions falling apart. After 25 minutes we decided that it wasn't worth the experience and asked to be refunded for just half and only pay for the 30 minutes we had been there- I wasn't asking for a full refund I just wanted to pay for the half hour because their equiptment kept malfunctioning and it was very frustrating. Instead they offered me tokens to come back. Why would I want to come back when their are other places I could go and not have a horrible experience. I emailed management with no reply- they couldn't even reply???? Avoid this place! read more

great place to let out steam and have a good few rounds of batting practice. aside from weekend nights this place is always a good stop when i'm in the area. too many youth teams and kid parties on friday/saturday nights but most other times there's rarely a wait for a cage. haven't tried the food or arcade games but like the ambiance of NY style pizza and kids stuff. read more

I gave 4 out of 5 because overall this is the best batting cages I've been in the area. They had exactly what my 9 year old daughter needed. A 45 mph softball cage, they also have pizza, drinks, and arcades. (though they are a bit dated, I enjoyed them because it's what I grew up with) Also the cages are covered. My one complaint was how the reservations were handled. They did not ask for a name, tell us exactly which cage we were going to be at. I had to check in with counter a few times to make sure we would get our turn. Positive criticism perhaps have a ticket system or at least take a name down, maybe have an intercom system where you can announce a cage is available? Everything else, they are doing very well. You can make an event out of it, they even host birthday parties, perfect for girls who are in softball or your son who is in baseball. It is a bit busy during the weekend, which is to be expected. But the wait was reasonable, not too bad. Overall I am very impressed. We will be return next weekend. Thanks for the good experience! read more
