We called and spoke to Analaura and told us to come on down. Jumped in the truck and took off in hopes of avoiding sending him home tomorrow with a shaved head! We arrived and had a bit of a wait, but man they moved quickly! We explained to her the situation, showed her what he had wanted and she worked magic to make it right. He was absolutely happy with the outcome, she even took time to show him how to style it himself and sold us the product needed to make it happen. All I heard on the way home was how much he liked her and the vibe of the sports theme. He said he was gonna be going back there every time he comes down to see us. I used them years back when I still had hair and even then the experience was different than most places. Keep up the great work Analaura, I think you just made a new fan for years to come!

No pre-shampoo, hot towel, or scalp/neck massage were offered. Only thing offered was the neck shave and post shampoo. The stylist was courteous, ensured that they understood the cut I wanted, and that I was happy with the cut. However, for the premium price, I would expect the premium services offered. Destiny is always super upbeat, a great conversationalist and (albeit 4-6 weeks between visits) always remembers what we talked about last time and what was/is going on in my life. Not to mention she is an incredibly talented hair stylist, I would constantly get compliments on my hair after I started going to her! As time went on Floyds kept falling apart. The front desk girls were rude and unwelcoming, when you would come in they make customers feel like we are inconveniencing them.. sorry to make you do your job. But because my experience with Destiny was so good, I did my best to overlook the failing infrastructure of Floyds. A few months ago Destiny told me she had opened her own place within a few hundred feet of Floyds, I was psyched. The Gents ATX experience feels like a ride in a luxury Mercedes compared to the 1994 Ford Taurus that is Floyds 99. Destiny and (also former Floyds standout) Kelsey have created a great atmosphere and offer FREE beer/beverages/snacks. I've been in 3 times and they always have something cool playing on the tv or stereo. Their online booking takes a minute and provides me with a text reminder the day of (and email reminder the day before). I can't speak highly enough about my experience at Gents ATX.
