Todd "greeted" me by berating me for touching his door knob…read more I sympathize completely with his worries about COVID threatening to shut down his business, but as I had already sent him a picture of my vaccine record, I would have expected a friendly reminder instead of a rebuke. Concerning the actual haircut, I am admittedly very introverted and know nothing whatsoever of style. The very reason I chose an upper-scale hair salon was that I wanted some guidance, some help, on what sort of new hairstyle would suit me, but I got no useful advice, and on the contrary, faced sarcasm for asking him for a recommendation. I told Todd I wanted a haircut that required very little maintenance, but looked reasonably good, to which he replied that if I wanted something out of my haircut, I'd have to put in the work (as if there were no maintenance friendly haircuts for guys) I tried again, and asked: "Well, what's fashionable these days?", to which he cynically replied: "Mullets are fashionable among teenagers." I fail to understand why he deemed sarcasm an appropriate response to a polite and reasonable question. Other hairdresser usually have little portfolios of recommended/fashionable haircuts, but Todd wouldn't even give me any advice, and furthermore, with his condescending passive-aggressive attitude made me feel as if I was to blame for his inability to give me the simplest guidance on my style. Finally, I showed him an old selfie, and asked him for that haircut. I am not even pleased with what I eventually got. In conclusion: I do not recommend this place. I was treated very disrespectfully, and the haircut was mediocre at best.

Zenia was honest in how much she could fix the first visit and we came up with a game plan to correct some areas over the next few visits once my hair grew out a bit more. When I first walked in I was greeted, checked in, & was offered something to drink while I waited for my stylist. Cameron greeted me with a warm smile as if we had been friends before & was very tentative with what I wanted. Cameron was very nice & made sure I was fully satisfied & happy with my new haircut & also provided me with information on how to style it & care for it. The other receptionist which I wish I got her name but she had red hair was also very informative & nice. Cameron & both receptionist gave me great information & even asked to book another appointment to maintain my new haircut. Needless to say I think I have found a new salon & I will be returning . I highly recommend this place as all staff were very nice. I want to thank Cameron, the red haired receptionist, & all the staff at the salon, thank ya'll sooo much for the wonderful experience!

Without clearly disclosing any additional cost, the stylist added a $41 "gloss" treatment. Total cost: $96. When we were at the register and saw that her bill had almost doubled, I asked what the extra charge was. The cashier said "haircut and gloss." I turned to my mom and asked, "Did you get a gloss?" (I didn't even know what that was.) She seemed unsure so the cashier went back and asked the stylist and confirmed the charge. The cashier offered no apology, no explanation, and no option to remove the charge. I spoke to my mom later and she told me that the stylist had asked, "Do you want your hair to look shiny?" and she answered yes, having no idea she was agreeing to a $41 add-on. Had she understood it cost extra, she would have declined. My mom has very short, fine senior hair that she washes every day. A $41 gloss is completely unnecessary and the way it was presented to a 93-year-old woman feels predatory. This is the second local salon that has done virtually the same thing to her (previous one turned a $25 cut into $50 with similar undisclosed add-ons). The haircut itself was fine, but targeting elderly clients with confusing, expensive extras they neither need nor fully consent to is unacceptable. They have permanently lost both of our business. Seniors and caregivers: ALWAYS ask for the total price upfront and specifically say "no extras or products." I'd hate for another elderly person to be taken advantage of the way my mom was.
