Soccer Field View

When I stepped out into the bright sunlight from the darkness of the movie house,I came across a park.A park filled with life and laughter. One breath away and you will be there,so young and carefree. And again we will see that place in time so golden. A playground that has been remodeled and a field that has been retooled for soccer. Not to forget an added mini water park for those summer time lazy days of lemonade sipping.Yes,life is but a twinkle of an eye filled with a vivid memory that fades as the day turns to dusk.No worries though, adjacent along the park is a recreation center for late day activity's. Parking is limited on days they have sporting events and on Saturday and Sunday mornings when local swap meet goes arrive.Though not imagined all will happen and we age old but through a memory we have that feeling of gold. And that's my take on this local park and recreation center.Peace out yelpers.

Visited on a hot day with my 2.5 year old and 5 year old, in the morning from 10:30am to 12noon. The park itself overall was nice: a main playground with various sized structures, some with shading, some without. A sand area that's only somewhat shaded. Several picnic areas that were fully covered, restrooms right beside the splash pad. The splash pad was 90% covered so the kids didn't need their rash guards which was good. There were just enough kids to make it fun without being too busy. I didn't see any teenagers, just families (mostly moms) in the shaded picnic areas watching their young children run around in the splash pad. I would definitely go here again, especially since my kids enjoyed themselves. It's a bit of a drive though from La Crescenta so I will look for places abit closer in the meantime. As we were leaving, it did start to get busier. I think if you come mid-morning, it's a wonderful way to spend the morning with little tykes.

The park is clean for the most part. The restrooms aren't the best either. I never see any kind of maintenance workers keeping up with the park or restrooms either. I hate that there aren't any food or drinks allowed in the soccer fields especially for small children. My child wasn't allowed in because he had a small bag of goldfish crackers. Like c'mon really thats not a big deal. My least favorite turf field for sure. I only come here once a week when my husband has a soccer game

I visited Bassett Park on a warm Summer day with my two young daughters. It is an awesome park. Every area of the park was clean. As well as the women's restroom. The splash pad area is big and shaded. This park has everything. A splash pad area, play area for children 2-5yrs and children 6-12yrs. It has a fitness zone and a skateboarding, large picnic area and soccer field. It offers free breakfast, lunch and snack. We arrived at the park at around 3pm and it was not crowded. Kids were well mannered. We will definitely return to Bassett Park.

Caught this last week. Friday August 5 and 6 is their next event.

New Playground for the kids!…read more I like how the playground has two areas for different ages and the city used padding for the ground under the play areas because sand is messy and wood chips get everywhere. We've been here twice in the last couple of months and my kids love it. (The city is updating the baseball/softball fields next to the playground). Parking could have a larger lot, but when the lot is full, there's plenty of street parking. And the playground has bathrooms right next to it. I hate when playgrounds/parks don't have bathrooms because kids always need to go when there's not a bathroom around. Very inconvenient when there's no bathroom. Cheers! Please see my photos. I've been to Snow Creek Park maybe two times prior to coming since the renovation. The renovation…read moreof the park looks really nice. They added a new playground area bunch of new playground toys and just seems a lot more fun for the kids compared to the previous arrangement. The Park and play area appears to be larger than it was before which is a plus the old playground was kind of outdated, but this new one has a lot of fun activities for kids. It was very spacious very kid and toddler friendly. They also have a picnic area for people to rent space to have birthday parties and other celebratory events. There's some lighting in the playground area so even after hours you could still play for a little bit they are doing construction near the baseball field. Parking was pretty accessible led right to the park. There's a good amount of parking and then also you could probably park in the neighborhood nearby if there is no space but I never had an issue since I've been there the last two times highly recommend checking out this park and my daughter loves to come and play here.

There is a round about parking near the entrance with a moderate amount of parking spaces but if you go past that further in there are more parking available. The play ground is quite large compared to other smaller park playgrounds. The cool think i like was that stairs from the first parking lot with the restrooms connect to the playground. So kids can jump right into the fun. Next to the playground its surrounded with plenty of picnic tables (concrete) and lets parents sit and relax while the kids play. The playground has multiple entries with two slides? Two monkey bars, stepping stone style elevated steps, a fireman pole, etc... definitely a fun park to come to. There is a little creek adjacent to the playground where you get a nice tranquil stream of flowing water drowned by the screams and laughter of children in the background, lol.. its nice really and something that sets it apart. We did not go further past the stream but there appears to be additional tables and a trail. Had a great time meeting our friends there and enjoying some fun times with the kids in the process. My kids loved it.

Also there is a hiking trail that I now frequently go to now. Especially the last few weeks (despite it being late January/early February) its been very warm in SoCal. This trail is relatively easy as it only takes about 30 minutes to complete the trail. I also love how most of this trail has plenty of shade. One of my favorite parks and hiking trails to go to around the Diamond Bar area.
