Bass Pro in Sunset Hills is a wonderful addition to the Sunset Hills area! It has exactly what the one in St. Charles has to offer & still has the wonderful decorations of taxidermy & fish tank! I had to come in to return some pants & the process was quick & easy, no questions asked. This bass pro is the same as others as far as prices go & stay pretty consistent with the market of things! Just left bass pro after doing Santa pics with our dog. She's been a little shy in public, and everyone there could not have been more friendly. We made a reservation online for pictures, and only had to wait about five minutes. Decorations were cute and had a great scene set for pictures. (Didn't want to take pics, as they had a photographer and wanted to be respectful). Terry at the font has given our dog treats and a friendly greeting every time we go there. He's an absolute delight. This location has tons of employees and everyone is so helpful. Great place to bring a dog for training, and they have a large pet section with great options for treats, toys, etc. They have a huge, beautiful fish tank towards the back of the store. Fun to look at all the types of fish. read more

What a fun place to go to. For a camping store, it's really big and there's lots to scour for! It was organized lovely and not one thing was out of place. Camping gear is pricey generally, so prices here I cannot blame. They also sell more than camping gear, which I think is nice. It's neat and the merchandise is worth it. Bass Pro at 3600 South Lindbergh Blvd Sunset Hills, MO 63127 Arrived @ this store at 5:30pm I have been to this particular Bass Pro several times. The individuals behind the gun counter are beyond rude and unhelpful. When it first happens, you think it's just a one off and you just let it go, but when it happens every single time, you go there and every time you go there it's a different employee you then realize that these people in this department could care less about doing their job or to help you in anyway and now it falls on management. I just went to this store again which is 2.5 hours away from my house on 11/2/2025. They have the attitude as if Bass Pro are the only ones in America who sells guns and you are a peasant and I'll get to you in their time or even if they do help at all. Even though you have logged in and there are 4 or 5 employees behind the counter doing absolutely nothing. They will avoid you like the plague and literally try not to make eye contact with you, so they don't have to help you. Yesterday topped the cake though! Their logging inline system was down, and I couldn't log in. Me and my girlfriend was standing at the counter and 3 of the men were talking about one of their stories and totally ignoring any and all customers. One of the men was doing everything he could to not make eye contact. There was another employee who walked out from the back and walked out past the counter onto the floor. This employee didn't care to stop and ask if we needed anything either. instead, I stopped him and told him that their logging in line system wasn't working and I needed help. This employee must have been their boss because as soon as he turned around to confront one of those men then two of the men asked if I needed something. To make a very long story short and not having to write a book. I wound up not buying anything. My whole intent for coming in there was to purchase this one particular gun. I am beyond livid how these people in this Bass Pro shop treat customers. I will never again in my lifetime go to this particular store again and might not ever go to a Bass Pro shop ever again. My voice is just one voice, but I will do everything in my power to make my voice heard and go onto every single internet review web page I can write a review and write a review. I will also tell everyone I know about my experiences with Bass Pro. The word of mouth can either be your best advertisement or your worst. Even though Bass Pro shops prices are very overpriced I still went to this store and many others. I will now save my money and shop somewhere else. Bass Pro has just gotten too big, and they don't care about the customer anymore. read more

I was there for the opening ceremonies quite exciting. Johnny Morris pulled out all the stops. He had some high profile celebrities including Roland Martin Kevin VanDam and Whitey Herzog. The store was adequate fully staffed. The checkout line was over 300 feet long yet we moved through that within 20 minutes. Everything was fully stocked great selection and found plenty of people to help us with our inquiries on where to find things. I was glad to see a store that could rival Cabela's in Hazelwood for selection. Would highly recommend a visit to this site. read more

I think we all know what Bass Pro shops are all about, it's a very mid-western hunting, sports, outdoor supplier. This review is about this particular store. I do a fair amount of my clothing shopping here, for the aging body type that I have sculpted during my golden years, the selection here seems to be a very good fit for me. Best yet, during recent visits here, I found the staff to be very helpful and they are usually not hard to find. I've also found this to be true in other departments as well. The store is well stocked and clean, even by their standards which I consider very high. read more

Unless you are there for a fishing pole don't expect customer service. I waited 40 minutes, asked two employees for help both said they would call some over but no employee ever showed up. I ordered what I needed, curbside at Academy and saved $100. read more

Store is very nice. Glad they built one closer to ID. Very well organized and clean. I did purchase a gun for my son and the process took very long. The manger that was helping would just disappear and go help another customer instead of finishing her 10 min part and then helping another customer. Took 3 hours to do paper work. Definitely will go back, just not to buy a gun. read more

Who ever is running the guns and ammo dept need to screen who they're hiring to run the counter. The guy I had the misforture to run into was arrogant and rude as well as lazy and acted like he was too good to be working there. NOTHING about his looks or manner suggested that and if anything he acted like he carried grudge for being an overweight and sloven. He didn't know what he was talking about and seemed to care less about selling anything. Perhaps his attitude was selective, though I can see no action on my part to inspire such an attitude. I will not go back into the store again if the store encourages or permits this bias in it's workers. Do they? At this point I would suggest avoiding the place is the best option. read more

As a Professional Truck Driver that's driven many different things for quite some time. I've debated and debated on posting this or not. I hate to shatter folks dreams of driving and hauling for this company and brand. There is no competitive pay that is worth your time especially at .50 cents a mile given at most if your lucky 2 trailers a week with no reasonable overnight parking while simultaneously hauling highly regulated equipment and sitting on the one trailer for days at a time. You are stuck on the truck monitoring the trailer like some crazed kid wondering if the boogeyman is coming from somewhere out of the dark. You're expected to not stop within 300 miles of pick up location even if you are out of food and have to use the restroom. The stores won't allow APU use which is for the bunk heaters.. I've had the Sherriff called on me multiple times and woken from my sleep endless amount of times. Then expected to drive 900 plus miles on no sleep because visitors are bothering at all hours. The APU automatically starts at specific temperatures to ensure batteries don't die from the cold and to ensure there is air flow/heat is in the cab. Look elsewhere. Sure support the business, it's quite a nice place but don't be the driver, leave that to the newbies. Oh and you don't get to just drop the trailer at the drop location next to not at all. Haul for some other place like Walmart or some other outdoorsman business. read more

Bass Pro in sunset hills are dog haters, I've been taking my clients to bass pro at the sunset hills location for quite sometime and I've never had a problem until two under 8 month old little mini doolde puppies were ONLY BARKING at each other for just a few seconds, and then stopped immediately!! I also had three witnesses standing right next to me watch the puppies bark for a second and stop immediately, right after they stopped the manger comes running up to me screaming at me saying the dogs barking made him come out of his office, and that I needed to get it under control, by that point it was controlled and the dogs weren't barking anymore, there was no problem, and since then I have gone back multiple times with a number of dogs doing training and have seen both the Manager and the General Manager, and have never had a word said to me, until today, my client and I were just walking, it was very quiet no one was hardly there bc they just opened, we didn't even climb on anything just walked the store two times after I was about done with my training session the General Manager Paul Cox comes up to me to speak to me and tells me he is banning me bc I had dogs get into a fight there, which is completely FALSE I have 60 current clients that have all been there with me and there dogs and they all can vouch that has never happen. I have also learned that I am not the only dog trainer that has been banned they have banned 5 dog trainers for just walking around the manager and the general manager hate dogs and do not let dogs in for the most dumbest reasons! I will forever go to the bass pro in Saint Charles with my clients to do trainings, I've never ever had a problem there once with there managers. And on top of all of that I had two of my clients buy boats from them after our training sessions were done there... so I brought customers in for them and this is how they turn around and treat ppl. I feel my uncle (Caucasian) and me (Caucasian and African American) were racially profiled at the Sunset Hills Bass Pro shop. My uncle and I came in to buy ammunition for our firearms. I proceeded to go look at your guys gun collection to browse the wall. I asked one of the workers to look at a Ar-15 and he gave it to me to look at. I was looking at the firearm and my uncle came up and said is it nice and I said yes. He decided he wanted to buy it after me saying it was nice. The background check started to be processed and everything was cleared. I started looking for accessories and ammunition for the new rifle he was going to get. The worker that was with us from the beginning then got someone else and went into the back and stayed there for roughly 10 minutes. They then proceeded to come back and say that they are denying the sale because I was too interested in the rifle and they couldn't sell due to ATF laws. I am the legal age to purchase firearms and have in the past. So my question is, why were we denied? read more
