My experience at this Bass Pro was nothing short of amazing from the courteous sales manager that helped with the kayak, the finance guy that had me approved in minutes, the manager that offered a Monday only promo on a Sunday to save me a drive back the next day. To the guys that helped me load it into my wrangler (which took 10 min). The selection of kayaks was incredible and I'll be going back for more camping gear! I walked out with a 200 kayak for 150. My husband and I are avid fisherman. We stop at this Bass Pro pretty frequently. They have fishing rods and reels, fishing lures, boats, camping gear, hunting supplies, sunglasses, clothes, and many other items having to do with outdoor sports and recreation. We typically find what we are looking for when we go here but a lot of times we are just in there browsing to see what is new. We purchased a new boat 3 years ago so this added to our stops that we make at Bass Pro. The other thing that's nice about Bass Pro is the decor and the live fish. If you have your grandkids or kids with you they will love it! We plan on making many more trips to this store. read more

Full disclosure: I'm a former employee. Worked here from 2012-2013, several years ago! Anyways, I like to make it back to BPS atleast once or twice a year. They surprisingly have really good quality clothes and pretty good prices. Aside from their own lines, they also carry big names like Columbia, Under Armor. I recommend their Red Head line for both men and women, I have some clothing that has lasted me 5+ years. As far as selection, it's no doubt this is a large store. I like the fishing section because the options are endless. Stop in for some jigs, poles, tackle boxes, even live bait. They've got it all. Pro tip: get the gear protection on your fishing nets, you know theyre going to rip. Knives, guns, archery supplies, camping, dog training/toys, kids stuff. There's literally anything and everything you need for some outdoor fun. On top of that, they have a pretty nice Santa Wonderland for the kiddos with toys and games and a FREE 4x6 pic with Santa. Grab a snack at the snack shop, get a pic with Santa and enjoy the huge aquarium while the kiddos play around. read more

Not only did they have everything we needed, but it was fun to see all of the things in the store that entertained the eye - small falls, gigantic water tank with live fish, and many life-sized animal displays. There certainly is something for any type of outdoor enthusiast you hunt, fish, hike, etc. The employees were more than helpful which is crucial in a large store like that. You may want to go there just to kill some time, but I'd be willing to bet that you will find something you need to purchase while you are there. read more

It's a candy store for men who loves the outdoors, guns, fishing, boating and hunting. They have just about anything you can think of for all outdoor activities. I personally come for the children's toys and clothing and men's jacket and my husband always eyes out the guns and gun accessories. It's the best place to get camouflage clothing. There is a large fish tank and times are posted when they feed the fishes. They also sell nuts, popcorn, fudge and drinks while you walk around. There is also a variety of hot sauce, bread mix, butters and syrup to purchase. It's hard to leave this place without spending money. But I don't regret all the goodies we purchased. Got everything in our online orders eventually, with COVID it was split so I had to make multiple curb side pickup trips. Low star rating is for the fact that it takes on average 40 min. To get your curbside pickup order once you park. I could have gotten out and grabbed in the store and checked out twice in the time it took for them to locate my order and bring it out to me. This review is for Santa's workshop only! I took my kids to Bass Pro to see Santa because they offer free pictures and games to the kids. The background and whole set up for the picture was cute and made for a great picture. We went early in the day to beat the crowds, since my children are younger they are not good at waiting in lines. I talked to a person who works at Santa's workshop and she told me they have free Christmas crafts for the kids from 5pm-7pm so if you have an older child I'd totally recommend going later in the day. They had shooting games, a remote control car they kids could drive and of course the huge aquarium. My kids had a blast and it made for a great day! In the area, and needing to kill a little time, we decided head into Bass Pro Shop. I was surprised at how large the store was inside. A great selection of goods. Bass Pro has everything one may need for an outdoor adventure. I could see coming here and paying a bit more to get everything in one place. I was surprised to see boats both outside and in. All the employees we encountered were happy to help. I learned that those who work the gun counter are not on commission. Not sure if that is true about all departments. Prices vary greatly. At the time of our visit they were having a fishing rod trade in event. Trade in a rod and reel, and receive a discount coupon good on the purchase of a new one. In the front were rods for $5, and reels for $5. The idea was that one turns around and uses them for a trade in. Traded in rods and reels were going to the Hamilton County Great Parks. We purchased then as beginner rods and reels for our kids. Like so many others, my children also enjoyed the giant aquarium. There is an electric shooting gallery. This was a place I once loved. Im sad to report though, that they are slowly catering to the left wing gun control extremsit. After researching a firearm on line for the last month, I was prepared to make the $949 purchase. The determining factor was going to be the feel of the trigger pull, which I planned on sampling before purchase. After asking the clerk to see the firearm, I asked if he could remove the trigger lock to sample the trigger. I understand gun saftey and respect that. But how can you expect someone to purchase a $1000 firearm with out examining a gun. As an outdoor enthusiast, hunter, fisherman, and gun collector this new policy may end up costing this company several thousand dollars over my life time. Made 100 mile trip with 18 year old son to outfit his new (to him) bass boat. Needed everything from GPS/Fishfinder to rods & reels to baits. We went in with a budget of $1500. First stop, Combo GPS/Fishfinder with sidefinder. Found eloctronics display only to find 6-8 of each Garmin, Hummingbird & Lowrance. I asked the guy attending this counter if this is all there is. He said yep. Told him pretty poor selection after 100 mile trip. He told me that I should have called first. Then he just turned around and walked off and left us standing there. My wife likes Bass Pro Shops because they host free holiday-themed photos. Bring your kid in for a pic with Santa at Christmas, or with Charlie Brown and Linus in the pumpkin patch for Halloween, that kind of thing. I like that, too, but they also have a ton of quality clothing options. No suits and ties, but plenty of good shirts, pants, socks, jackets, etc. Some of the items are expensive, but most are reasonably priced, and they often have sales (or maybe they just coordinate them with the holiday pictures, who knows?). The sales people here are all very friendly, stopping to admire the kids, ask if they can help, etc. Though we're still a few years out from buying any of the kids their first rifle, I expect we'll come here when the time comes. Bass Pro Shops opened years ago with the hopes that the Cincinnati Mills mall complex would take off. Unfortunately, the mall has underperformed relative to local area malls and this anchor store finds itself in a bit of limbo. It is one of the best all around outdoor activity stores in the Cincinnati. You can buy anything from boats, to guns, to kayaks, to tents, etc etc. The prices are right and they even have a live fish display. On occasion, professional fisherman will fish in the in-store tank. Be sure to check this place out at the day after Thanksgiving sale. Great deals and good values. I've never seen so many variations of fishing lures, reels, and line all in one place (and that department is only a small corner of the entire department store). This place is really busy on the weekends, so if you have the chance, try to visit during the week when there is less of a crowd. This place is a little a bit intimidating. Every where you look there are stuffed woodland creatures, there to decorate a store that sells the weapons that caused their demise. Bass pro is the best and almost only thing left at cincinnati mills mall. This location is two floors of an outdoors man's paradise! The staff is very friendly, and knowledgeable about there products. Everything is also pretty organized with the gun area, archery, knives and ammo being in the same area. (They have a pretty good selection of guns, however still no cabelas in that aspect) The hunting clothing being in own area. And then the regular clothes so on and so forth. My favorite thing about this store tho is that on the bottom level they actually sell atvs, bass boats, and pontoons! And they have a pretty good selection of them at that! Also at the bottom is a whole section dedicate to fishing with a nice selection of poles and bait. Basically all in all they have about anything you would ever want/need! Let me start by saying I'm an adventurer, hiker, outdoorsman, and a lot of other things that this store offers and promotes. I now know how women feel when "shopping" after being in an outdoor store like this. I could walk around for HOURS and not get bored! I've visited this location multiple times and have yet to have a less than good experience; It's very well organized. The departments are typically clean and set up where you shouldn't have problems finding what you're looking for, but if you do there is usually an employee near by to point you in the right discretion. The wide rage of outdoor gear, camping guns, knives, fishing, archery, and even home decor makes them a top contender with the surrounding outdoor stores in the Cincinnati area. Myself, as many others, are very excited for when they relocate and open their new location in West Chester, OH. read more

The employees who work the gun counter including the optics should all be fired, and replaced with newly trained ones. Rudest service I've sever experienced and this is the same experience after several visits. Each time, I have walked out without a gun, and this place will never have my money. Employees 20 feet away standing around doing nothing, notice you looking at a gun case, never come over to ask if you need help. Employees who know very little about the product they are selling, or start talking to fellow employees while standing in front of you and then can't explain nothing to you. In 30+ years of purchasing sporting goods, I have NEVER waited over 2 hours to look at a set of optics! Major line, few employees, and not a lot of support from the Manager. I needed optics desperately for an upcomign trip out West and I still walked out after 2 hours and 40 minutes of waiting and never been waited on! Too boot, there is no system to determine who was next in line. So some fine, upstanding patron tried to cut in front of me. I was so fed up and ticked off I left and had a discussion with the store manager about the lack of service on my way out. Well we made the 1.5 hour drive down from Columbus to go to the Christmas thing they have here and that is being advertised on our Directv channels. Red Neck City. 100% over-hyped. This was supposed to be all about traditional holiday values. Well seeing billy bob in shorts and a cut off dirty santa shirt along with this kid in cowboy boots and hat, greasy hair in tow, made us spend less than 30 minutes here. The free photo w/Santa is no lure so don't be suckered in by this. Apparently this location will be moving to West Chester eventually since it's one of only a couple of flagship stores left at Cincinnati Mills mall. Anyway, I was hanging around waiting for my car to be repaired when a friend recommended we come here to wait with our two 3-year olds. Actually, the main reason was that they do FREE pictures with Santa. Since in my family we don't do Santa, I went along with it to be nice, but I'm sure glad I did. Inside the store they have a huge fish tank, complete with one of those bubble windows that allows you to observe the tank almost as if you are in it. Our kids loved watching the fish and turtles. There's also lots of stuffed animals for them to spot. We played a rousing game of "can you find the..." On the second floor we played hide and seek in the tent display. The kids loved it. We also played with all the toys out for their Christmas display. That's probably seasonal, but who knows, maybe they do this year round? Finally, in the back is a space that I think used to be a climbing wall. It's now just an empty space, which the kids played around in...running after one another and being silly. So basically good times were had by all even though we weren't there to shop. My one concern, and this is just me, is there were some things I didn't want my son around, like the gun display and shells, but I realize that's me and there are lots of people into hunting, etc. Just creeped me out, that's all. Also, what's with all the pink hunting gear? Arrggg! It's a hunting gun case in forest camouflage, but see, it's trimmed with pink, so that means it's for girls! Wow. Thanks. I fish for cats. Their selection was ok for the most part, but they did not have any decent sinker slides or the type of hook I wanted. I was looking for an offset circle octopus and they were either out or didn't have any. Normally I wouldn't care enough to write a review. Here is where I have an issue. An employee asked me if I found what I was looking for and I said no. I asked if there were any other sinker slides or a different area where they may have the hooks I wanted and gave him the descriptionand what I was fishing for. I'm not sure if it's because I am a woman and was rolling around with a stroller and don't look like I should be fishing for cats, but this clown tried to sell me on a colorful worm hook the size of my finger nail because it looked good. I have a 7 ft rippin lips rod I am anxious to pull out a 20 pounder plus with. I can barely catch the bait I'd use on that toy. It didn't help that the entire time he kept trying to get me to buy into their credit card as if he worked for the extended car warranty scam before he started working here. I don't have anything against the company, but at least at cabela's the employees know more than their sales pitch. read more

If you want to browse, you can spend a lot of time here and enjoy finding new things. But if you are looking for something specific, you can make it in and out quickly. This store has everything! I literally could spend at least 4 hours here. I came here to find waders for fly fishing. The selection was limited, but I was able to find a pair that matched my needs and budget. The customer service was a bit dodgy. I saw a lot of employees just standing around. I had to literally go up to one and ask for some help. First person had no idea, and the second employee was great. He was able to assist me with some fly fishing gear. I was hoping as soon as I arrived, someone would be there to help, which was unfortunate. Overall, experience was a good one. read more

I called in to there gun desk to ask them a few fairly simple questions. Whether or not they carried lower parts kits for an AR-15 and if they had any .223/556 or 22 LR in stock. His answer to the first was short and quick as a no. Not to mention he sounded like he just woke up from a nap. Before I could even get to my second question he hung up the phone. It was extremely rude and they will not get much if any of my business in the future when searching for ammunition, camp supplies, or kayaking equipment. Very poor service. read more

Over the last few years it have probably spent close to ten thousand dollars here. It's a one stop shop for just about everything an outdoorsman would need. I have purchased firearms,ammo,fishing tackle and equipment, tents, backpacking gear,survival gear and just about everything here. The bass pro brand (red head) is very high quality and priced fairly reasonable. Most of the staff here is very knowledgeable about their products and everyone has been very friendly and easy to deal with. The only thing I would like to see is more staffing in the gun department as it can get very busy there during the evenings and weekends. It would also be nice to see a little bigger selection in the backpacking/survival department. Over all it's a great place to shop and the taxidermy and fish tank with waterfall is fun for the whole family. It will be nice to see what the new store will look like after it is built. read more
