I can always rely on Baskin Robbins to not only constantly update their offerings but also to keep their favorite items there. I was recommended some of the new scoops they had in addition to the ice cream I always have to get.
2968 Aborn Sq Rd San Jose, CA 95121 This Baskin-Robbins is small ice cream shop in the Aborn Square Shopping Center. It only has 4 tables inside, so it's probably a mostly takeout spot. I was there in the early evening. Service was very eager and energetic. I asked for a scoop of Rainbow Sherbet and a scoop of Triple Mango in a cup. The price was about the same as other BR locations. The Rainbow Sherbet was as expected. Tart and fruity, with a strong pineapple taste. A bit of a chalky after taste. But the Triple Mango was very good! Strong and sweet flavor. I would return for this! Negs: Homeless people in parking lot. A guy looking for cans walking too close to parked cars. Overall, a good 1st time experience and I would return.
The service was terrible. I ordered an ice cream cone for my kids, but she didn't get it for me, she scoped anther one instead. The waffle was also cracked. When I spoke to her, she was incredibly rude. I never want to come back again.
I don't come to baskin robbins often but I was sad to see a big ice chunk inside my ice cream. The workers didn't seem to fond of serving people which didn't make the experience for the kids pleasant. They were out of a lot of cone selections the day we went.

I have not had Baskin-Robbins in a very long time. Since we expect the flavors to be universally the same, my review is based on the service, location, and atmosphere. Located near Aborn in San Jose, it is easy access from the road and parking is ample. Inside, it is a bit small, but they have stickers in place for social distancing. The floor though, even towards closing, looked pretty dirty and I saw a lot of shoe marks. The floor was also a bit sticky, but I assume they will clean at the end of the day. The service was pretty fast. I was helped by a young lady and she was really quick and efficient in getting me my delicious flavors. She was wearing a mask. However, she was not wearing any gloves. She also worked the register and I did not personally see her wash her hands between servicing me and the previous customer or the one after me. And when she handed me my ice cream, she gave it to me with the part of the waffle cone that folded, so my fingers immediately touched my own ice cream. (My provided picture will display it in the Wild n Reckless flavor) The flavors were what I expected. Except my waffle cone was a bit stale. It was soft and didn't have much flavor. I understand it was late at night, but I would expect it to be a bit more waffle flavorful. Overall, I would rate as a 3.5/5, but rounded up to 4. I would still consider coming back to this location, but maybe not so late at night next time.
This BR is located in the same complex as Ross and 24 Hour Fitness. That said, the parking lot can get a little chaotic. The interior could use a little upgrading, but it's expected for any tiny ice cream parlor, right? They serve their Classic, BRight Choices, Premium Churned, and Frozen Yogurt, for ice cream, in addition to their cakes, sundaes, and beverages. Keep in mind that every location has a rotating Flavor of the Month, so this could help when deciding amongst 31+ flavors! As for the good, Jeremy and Deven are THE dynamic duo! They never fail to deliver both professional and friendly service! I've been to almost every BR in SJ, and travel to this particular location because of these two! My order is either a Caramel Capaccino Blast, or a single scoop of Rocky Road. I know, it is not your one of a kind gourmet creamery, but in a pinch, their consistency does the trick! My drinks always come out top notch, and my single scoop packs the perfect amount of creaminess and marshmallows! Overall, it is a solid place in terms of traditional ice cream, friendliness, and excellent service! There is a liquor store a couple of doors down, so be careful when visiting at night.
A small BR ice cream shop with kind employees and a great selection of their classic, tasty flavors! The staff are super patient and helpful and ice cream itself is tasty too -- highly recommend the Butter Pecan!
DONT ORDER THROUGH DOORDASH! I had ordered a two scoop sundae and a one scoop sundae with hot fudge, and you would assume it comes with whip creme, cherry, and nuts. WRONG they only put hot fudge and did not put the whip creme, nuts and cherry, I contacted DoorDash and they had the order re-delivered and for the second time they did not add the rest of the items but only hot fudge! Why would I order a sundae and not get the rest of the items on it?
Delicious flavors! My favorite is cookies and cream. They have huge Oreo cookie chunks. Always smells so good walking in. Fast service. Thank you for my free birthday cone!
Let's just say Baskin-Robbins has been my go-to spot for ice cream and ice cream cakes for that matter when it is someone's birthday. This year I ordered a unicorn ice cream cake for my daughter and the process was easy! -You walk in to place an order of which birthday cake you would like, what you would like to be written on it, when and what time of pick up, and lastly you pay on the day of when you place an order. You just bring the receipt with you on the day of pick up and you're set to go. Ordering ice cream here is always not an issue. You walk in, order the ice cream you'd like in a cone or a cup- how many scoops and wahh laah! -Service here is friendly. -Sometimes there can be a wait. -The tables are always dirty when I come.

It's safe to say CLETO is the greatest baskin robins worker of all time. His elegance and efficiency dealing with all the customers in the store while simultaneously making the best Biscoff layered sundae was truly breathtaking. Every store needs a worker like CLETO. read more

I bought my son's birthday cake here yesterday, and the ice cream cake was delicious! We've been here a few times, and we've always been happy with the ice cream and the wonderful customer service. What really impressed me was their honesty. I accidentally left my wallet at the store yesterday. I called this morning, and the employee told me they had found it. When I went to pick it up, everything was still there--my cards, cash, everything! I'm incredibly grateful for their excellent service and honesty. It's so nice to know there are still good, honest people out there. They definitely have a permanent customer in me now! Highly recommend! read more

Ice creaaaaaam! I love it. Mint chocolate chip. Mmm.... So not healthy, but deliciousness in my mouth. First time trying a cappy (cappuccino) blast that my friend told me was created even before Starbucks was around. It was $3.99 for a small size. It was pretty good. It didn't taste like tons of coffee was in it though. It was hot out today, definitely deserved that after my workout and car wash. read more

I ordered this cake online a week in advance and when we picked up this cake this was how the message was written. What a huge disappointment. It is such a beautiful cake but the poor penmanship ruined it. read more
I've been going through an ice cream craving, maybe it's the summer air or the satisfaction that I'm eating ice cream and not froyo. I didn't want froyo, I wanted artifically colored, creamy ice cream! Yum! I came here with my brother where I got the Cotton Candy and he got the Rainbow Sherbert (I believe). Cotton Candy totally hit the spot, sweet with an indistinct flavor of cotton candy with bright colors that probably aren't found in nature. His sherbert reminds me a lot of a fruit roll up. BR is a bit pricey, for two single scoops and a cone it was around $6. At least this will kind of keep my cravings at bay O:-) The place is usually stocked with ice cream, they offer you samples the only con is that at times there are people who linger out front because of the liquor store next door and the price. read more

Imagine how happy I was when we got the roommate's brother an ice cream cake for his birthday! We got an Oreo cookie cake: oreo cookies top this frosted cake, drizzled in dark chocolate , edged with a fudge border. The oreo ice cream went perfectly with the white cake. Ordered ice cream cake for my daughter's birthday. We selected very berry strawberry ice cream and vanilla cake . The cake was so delicious and equally beautiful. The sweetness of cake , icecream and whipped cream all was on point. Everyone loved it. read more

It's been a while since I've been to Baskin Robbins, but I've always been a fan of their ice cream cakes. Normally I just stop by and pick up whatever they have in their ready-made cakes in the freezer but last Friday I wanted a specific flavor (strawberry ice cream on white cake) for my mom's birthday weekend. I called in the morning to see if they had it and they did. I asked Haley to place it on hold for me until the evening and she said that they normally wouldn't do that before payment but she will go ahead and do that for me. When I stopped by and asked to pick up my cake, the one that was on hold had kind of 4th of July/kiddish decorations with stars and bright stripes. Haley just happened to be there and asked if that one was okay, and if not, she happened to be making a new one that was going to be just whipped cream and strawberries on top and if I didn't mind waiting a bit, I could have that one. Um, yes please! All the staff were super efficient and friendly. It was a hot day so there was a line for their ice cream cones and sundaes but I was out of there within 10 minutes. :) My ONLY complaint (which is why I'm giving only 4 stars instead of 5) is that the guy who wrote on the side of the cake went a little too heavy on the icing so all the words kind of dragged down and left a red trail during my 15 minute drive home. Looked kind of bad so when we took pictures at the party we had to turn it around (to the side with no writing ) so the strawberries were also faced the other way. Not a huge deal but it would've been nice to have the writing in our pictures. read more

Baskin-Robbins has delicious ice cream and cakes. I think it is way overpriced though. For the occasional splurge, I opt for the classic pralines'n cream. I'm not a fan of this location. There is very limited seating, and the area is sketchy. Service was slow and inefficient. Nice place to go for a treat, but expect a long wait. read more

***************************** 1434 *************************** I don't eat ice cream. If I do probably once a blue moon. However, Baskin-Robbins offers Birthday cake which the kids go crazy for. I ordered ice cream cakes for my nieces' BDAYs here and also anniversary cake. The high school kids work here, they lack of personalities, but they always greet me when I walk in. My friends and I like Jessica, she got the brightest smile and beautiful hands writing on the cakes. She got this wonderful bubbly personality and very polite. Remember to tip the kids more folks! read more

SO HERE'S THE SCOOP... I only come here when they have some sort of promotion! This time, it was Scoop Fest at Baskin Robbins ($1 scoops-- how do you even say no to that?). My friend and I came during the afternoon and it wasn't terribly busy. The employees were very helpful and efficient in getting our orders started right away. This particular location is small so seating is practically non-existent. There are only 1 and 1/2 booths--yes, you read right, 1 and 1/2! There isn't even outdoor seating so you'll have to stand and eat your ice-cream next to a skeevy looking liquor store. To their credit, the ice-cream was great! Right now, they are plugging the Spider Man 2 ice-cream flavors. I wasn't daring enough to try those but they have a myriad of flavors that range from standard vanilla to pistachio almond. I highly recommend the pineapple coconut though! I absolutely love the random pineapple chunks and it's one of their more health conscious flavors too. I paired it with mint chocolate chip and couldn't have been happier. Unfortunately, I probably won't be visiting this location frequently due to the lack of seating! read more
