I walked in to this location on 8/31/2025 to purchase a cake. I browsed around and found the cake that I wanted which was priced at 42.99. I brought it to the cashier, the first one that attended me was nice and kind. However, she had a problem with readjusting the price and called her co-worker for assistance. When the co worker came, she said the cake was $50. I told her the price stated $42.99 and she just said no it's $50 and walked away from the register. No explanation whatsoever. The initial cashier was so apologetic, kind, and embarrassed of her co-workers attitude. I still bought the cake because I needed it. If you go on the 31st of any month, you will get 31% off of your scoops. Even though it was raining heavily on New Year's Eve, off I went with my tribe to get scoops of ice cream. I got one single on a sugar cone. I turn around and the Prince has two scoops in a waffle. Not to be outdone, the Princess asks if she can get the same. Of course. All less than $15. No pictures. I came in today for a cone and also decided to try their New boba drink but as I was walking out I gave it a sip and it was completely disgusting, so I went back in to the store hoping I can exchange it for a cone but their employees response was that they couldn't do no exchanges or refunds. Also to top it off they had no manager in that I can speak to when their should ALWAYS be a manger in at all times. The employees really failed to make things right. Let me say the service at this place is fantastic because when I ask for a double scoop, they do not cheat you. They actually give you a little more than a double scoop. I hate coming to this location, the customer service is horrible. Every time I come pick up an order here I'm treated with disrespect because I'm not a customer and I'm picking up someone else's order to deliver. What makes it worse is that they treat the rest of the customers with full respect right in front of my eyes, but as soon as it's my turn patiently waiting and everything their attitude changes instantly for no reason. The only Con for me is there's no free WiFi signal to connect and use the app or check in on yelp. It's in a plaza were other near by stores and other small businesses are a plus. It's on the principle street of Whittier Blvd. The theater is near within the area, a new gym, other food chains, tho ice cream is the best treatment for a hot day or just to have something to make you feel happy. The ladies are cool as one of them joke about where else the ice cream can go or say added onto and I just smiled as it was interesting. I was so excited to order a cake for my son based on all the pictures, unfortunately upon picking it up I was extremely disappointed and I told the employee that was giving me the cake that it was extremely small and it was also missing the 'happy birthday' logo which I wanted added to the picture imprint. She basically ignored the fact that I was telling her it was missing and asked what color I would like the writing in. I told her I don't want you writing on it because the cake is so tiny you're going to cover the picture. I expressed to her how upset I was over the cake and asked her are you sure this is supposed to feed 16 people and she said yeah that's it. She didn't even bother to double check with her coworker who seemed to be training her. At this point I was beyond frustrated but my son had already took a look at the cake and was excited because it was the design he wanted. It has been the sloppiest, unprofessional cake and encounter with ordering a cake I have ever had. I left very upset and halfway home the manager gives me a call and tells me he would refund SOME money because they made a mistake, I advised him how upsetting & frustrating it was that I was trying to relay that message to his employee and they were contradicting me and saying the cake was done correctly and I also told him how I had to go buy another cake so there could be enough for my guests. He offered me another cake and said sorry, which I accepted at the moment because the party was within a couple hours and I was desperate, once I drove back he tells me to grab the smallest cake they had there because that would equal to the amount missing!!! I was floored. REALLY!! After you ruin my order and cause an inconvenience and have horrible employees who don't know what they are doing, you have the audacity to tell me take the smallest because that's the part that's missing.... uuuhhh yeah that's your bad not mine, not even a discount or a tad bit bigger cake for messing up my order!!! I ordered a two tier minion cake. I was really picky about how the minion looked. I went to several bakeries and did a lot of research. I stumbled across this location. It was far from my house, but their quality of work was worth the half hour drive. The Ice cream melted a little, but it's Not their fault. Ordered a cake online for my daughters birthday. Called number on my confirmation before I went to store to make sure it was ready. The young lady who answered phone checked with owner and told me that my cake was ready. I went initally to the Pico store on Washington where they told me that my cake was placed for the store on Whittier. I went up the road to the store on Whittier. When I went to the store the young lady and the owner dissapeared to the back for quite awhile. When they came back the owner said the cake was at the other Baskin-Robbins in Pico Rivera on Washington. I said no I was just there and besides I just called you and you said it was here. I told her I already paid for it showed my charge, she repeated to me that its at the other store. I realized she was just trying to get me out of the store. The young lady tried to help me asking for information but by this time I realized it didn't matter how much information I gave her I wasn't getting my cake becasue they didn't have what I ordered. I don't understand and I told the young lady why did they tell me my cake was ready if it wasn't even there. The young lady apologized but the owner let her take all the responsibility for the error, didn't offer assistance or support besides telling me the cake was at the other store. I called my bank and disputed the charge. The next day the bank notified me the store was disputing my dispute stating that I failed to pick up my cake and that I still needed to pay since they made it. WHAT?! I asked my bank who was making that claim...store owner at 8648 Whittier Blvd. Not sure what this is all about but beware of ordering cakes from this store. read more

I can't believe this place has only one other review. It's my favorite of all the Baskin Robbins I've been to. The man is always very nice and sweet and although sometimes the people who go there are a little on the loud and ghetto side, the staff is always very polite. I usually get a mocha blast and the owner always asks me if I want whipped cream and cinnamon. Yes please. :) The cakes are also very pretty and they have quite a variety of them. They now have these new things instead of cakes which are little tiny cones in a box, or the little cakes that look like petit fours. (small individually iced little cakes). I'm always tempted to get the big Mocha blast but that would keep me up all night. I jokingly call it "Fuerzas" because if I need the energy to do a big job a mocha will usually do the trick. read more
