Chocolate chip cookie dough! My favorite!!!
    Stephanie C.

I remember eating in the Baskin Robbins back in Robinsons Galleria when I was much younger. Just recently, they relaunched the brand in the Philippines and I have frequented the Greenbelt branch quite a few times as it is near my office (or also because I can't get enough of it). Usually there is a line but it moves quickly so don't worry. The junior scoop (the smallest one) is only Php 85 and definitely worth it for the flavor and creamy goodness! There are 31 flavors to from. My favorites are Love Potion (white chocolate, raspberry, and chocolate hearts with raspberry inside!), Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough (enough said), and Tiramisu. You can also give Movie Popcorn a try for something different but also delicious! You may try any of the 31 flavors as they offer you unlimited free tastes! If you can't decide on just one, combine flavors in a bigger sized cup. Enjoy!

I have this memory as a kid where my Mom would take us to Alabang Town Center after school to get some merienda and ice cream was most definitely always on the list. Baskin Robbins was a well-loved pit stop for us siblings as well as a favorite meet up for me and my classmates back when mobile phones and texting didn't seem like the most natural way to communicate. We would all agree after class what time and where to meet up, on occasion call each other's landlines (I still memorize my bestie's landline number which still works today!), or if by all means someone is running late we use the nearest payphone to check if they had left their house. We would all feel so grown-up meeting at Baskin Robbins and sometimes take turns treating each other to a scoop or two. But before any purchase, we would sample to our heart's content the many flavors that put us all in a sweet, sugary trance. The pink spoons of Baskin Robbins always made me happy and I would always end up ordering my usual favorite flavors---Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough and World Class Chocolate! Now that its back in Greenbelt and even close to where I live, I treat myself once in a while (okay, maybe more often than I deserve) to my childhood favorite. I swear each scoop always takes me back to those days when I would look forward to something as simple as seeing my friends over ice cream and silly conversations!

Llaollao - No one was falling in line between the poles

This place always had a long line whenever I passed by. I finally had the opportunity to find out…read morewhy people fall in line for their yogurt. There's a sign that states where the line starts with poles guiding people as to where they should be falling in line. Like numerous others, I didn't see the sign. People started falling in line by the window, which is where I was sitting. I eventually moved my seat. Now, I totally understand what the hype is all about. They offer fruits, sauces, and crunch options that other frozen yogurt companies do not offer. While I was falling in line, someone was writing down what I wanted to order. I was impressed that she upsold me. I was asked which option I wanted. I opted for a cup or tub. Then she asked if I wanted a medium or a large. She didn't ask if I wanted a small, medium, or large. I'm thankful I ordered a medium! The couple behind me had a slight misunderstanding because the female ordered small for them to share. He didn't sound happy with her choice. Eventually, she changed the order to a larger size. I knew that I wanted mango. I am thankful that the employee suggested the Biscoff crunch and sauce. Oh my gosh, I slowly ate my yogurt. I wanted to enjoy every crunch with the sauce and yogurt. They gave a generous amount of everything. I would highly recommend llaollao!

Their presence is surely a healthy competition for the fro-yo market in the Metro. August 30, 2016 | My first sight of the brand was through a traditional billboard along Ayala Avenue, but simply banked it on the back of my head for a future reference. I only became more interested after seeing the product through an Instagram post, which had me scheduling a visit the soonest. At first glance it looks like any another premium healthy yogurt place, white and bright, but the flock of people could not be ignored, so I had to find out for myself. I had Reyjohn scavenge for a table, which he managed fairly quickly, but of course like most self-serviced establishments in the Philippines the table was a garbage pile. Expect such conditions during the weekends. Sanum (199 PHP) 3 fresh fruits, 2 crunches, and a sauce to sweeten the deal. I had the basic setup, customising only my fruits to a mango, strawberries, and kiwi. I topped my cup with their caramelised cookie sauce, being unsure I requested for a sample, which the attendant accommodated without hesitation. It was recommended for the mix of ingredients, so I agreed, which delighted me when it was just perfect. Overall a pleasant dessert, that's not too sweet, filled with fresh fruits, and yogurt to bring it all together. Something to come back to, hoping for a branch along High street or just within BGC soon. Yes, their pricing is definitely premium, but it shows in quality.

The lure of this place is that their yogurt is "activated and charcoal-enhanced". I don't really know what that means and I never thought I'd use the words "charcoal" and "yogurt" in the same sentence but honestly, it works and it tastes good. The yogurt itself has a mild, not overly sour taste like the variety served in other shops. It's made from U.S. premium Greek yogurt and it's fat and gluten free. They don't have flavor choices for the yogurt but you get to pick a choice of one "crunchers", up to two fruit toppings, and one of their homemade sauces. I went ahead and got a cup with Oreo bits, sliced banana, and their Nutella hot fudge sauce. It did not disappoint. I really liked the hot fudge sauce as it was served hot, as it should be. The Oreo bits did their job, adding crunch to the experience and the banana added sweetness to the mildly sweet yogurt. Definitely an experience for those with a sweet tooth, yet don't want to over indulge. Pros -Serving size is pretty decent. I eat a lot and this was almost too much for me. ALMOST. -Awesome in-house made sauces. The Nutella hot fudge was a winner! Cons -The yogurt itself doesn't have any flavor variations. Also, I've heard that you're not allowed to get it plain. You HAVE to get it with toppings. Something purists might not like. -Really pushes the envelope value-wise at ₱185.

The frozen yogurt came out smooth, creamy, and black. Flavorwise, it was tart, as any other sort of yogurt would be. A milk bar? My lactose intolerance said no. Stay away. Stay far away. But the longer I lingered, the more I noticed something else: it wasn't milk. The white stuff was thick. Scoopable. Yogurt. Koomi sold yogurt. Count me in. I'm a sucker for yogurt. Even more a sucker for yogurt with fruit mixed in. They had other things too, like dates and pistachio and oat (even the oh so popular activated charcoal) but I went with strawberry and watermelon. What can I say? I have my usuals. Once your order is placed, you're given a choice between Aussie blend yogurt (which is more tart) and Filipino blend (which is - go figure - more sweet). I say go with the tart. This entire concoction is then sweetened with natural fruit honey. What you get is a nice yogurt smoothie which isn't too heavy on the stomach and still has those nice flavorful bits. My only gripe with the entire experience was the wait. I'm not sure if it had anything to do with the number of people working the counter but the expected wait time was about twenty minutes per serving. Don't get me wrong, the staff was working as fast as they could. It could also have something to do with the time and day I was there. Thankfully they have seats and a clear monitor that displayed where your order number was in the queue. All in all, not for the impatient or in a hurry but the end product is definitely worth it.

In just a few minutes, and with a little help from liquid nitrogen, they can turn milk into a smooth and creamy ice cream. If you're a coffee lover, I highly recommend their Tiramisu ice cream topped with a piece of broas. It's really good! A cup costs around Php 150.00 but the serving is generous enough for two.
