So today my little one begged me to go into DD upon leaving Walmart in Hagerstown, she just had surgery last week and can only have soft food and wanted their ice cream. Well they were completely out of any ice cream so I figured perfect time to try the refreshers. We ordered a med pomegranate one and a small pink one, The MANAGER made our order. People NO, JUST NO! Below is a picture of what they are calling their PINK coconut REFRESHER. Do you see ANY PINK???? I can promise you it was literally all coconut milk! So moral of the story is THIS is why I will stay a LOYAL STARBUCKS CUSTOMER! We went to our local Starbucks literally around the corner and I confessed my sins of cheating on them and the consequences for doing so and being the AMAZING company that they are, they forgave me in my weakness and REPLACED mine and Isabel's order with what a pink drink SHOULD look like and DIDN'T CHARGE ME! Who does that? The items still look yummy, and I love the variety, I just hesitate to buy items that look a little older. The fresh case with cupcakes looks lovely for the options. They seem to have a good selection! They do have regular cupcakes and add in seasonal selections. There are also some gluten free options in the case. I've eaten cupcakes and cookies here, and they taste good. The prices are fair. When in a bind and having a hankering for sweets in the Westview plaza of Frederick, I would certainly consider dropping by here. The staff are friendly, and the parking easy as pie. I sampled the vanilla, chocolate, and a limited daily flavor called blueberry cheesecake. If I was ranking flavors I'd say: first blueberry cheesecake, then chocolate, and then vanilla. I ended up getting a brownie sundae $9.81 and small blueberry cheesecake cup (with a cone) $4.69. The blueberry cheesecake was good and unique but the brownie sundae dropped the ball for me. It was decent (taste wise) but the portion size was significantly smaller than what I was expecting with a near $10 price tag. I'd hope next time that they fill up the bowl a lot more instead of shorting me but it is what it is.
