I've been wanting to try rolled ice cream since I first heard about it, and didn't know we had it in the area. It was very creamy and frozen, and I just appreciated the way it kept the frozen texture instead of how typical scooped ice cream melts all around and each bite is different, ugh. This was way better. Their flavors were so unique and good too! So, the 3 stars is for the staff, location, and weird ambiance. The staff was very standoffish, and I had of course never been but they were asking me quick questions and acting like I should've already told them (like for extra toppings after I've paid, I was so confused). Probably number of toppings wise you're looking at a pretty even match I'm but it's the quality of the toppings where Menchie's really pulls away. The toppings are good quality and in good shape. What I mean by that is they are fresh and not stale. He'll, I watched one of the girls working there go get a tray of fresh strawberries from the back and come out front and start slicing them for toppings. No mass produced delivered in a #10 can packed in gross sugary syrup strawberries. No sir or ma'am these were fresh and sliced right before my eyes. Almost makes me wish I had gotten some instead of cookie dough balls. It was relatively quiet in here on a Saturday afternoon. Once we got there, we found out they no longer do freak shakes, so we ordered regular shakes instead. My friend ordered the cookies-and-cream shakes, while I ordered the Cherry Milkshake. The Cherry Milkshake has a nice, unique flavor. I also appreciate how patient the woman at the front was with us while we figured out our orders. If I didn't rush myself and notice the menu more, I probably would have tried the banana pudding sundae. Can't wait to come back and try more different flavors.
