We stopped for breakfast and it was definitely the right choice! Our party had a variety of food and we all enjoyed it. The Averitos breakfast burrito was amazing! Pancakes came with fresh blueberries and the omelette special with spinach and mushroom was made with super fresh ingredients and was also delicious. Came here on our trip to Mammoth lake. This is a hidden gem! I love the outdoor dining area which is filled with trees, grass, bird houses, and flowers. Tables are very spaced out and the decor is very charming. We ordered a nacho and a mac and cheese with ribs. The lady who took our order was super friendly and the food was very tasty. Looked like a great place BUT we went in at 1:30 and were told that we would have to wait 20 to 30 minutes to order because they were short staffed in the kitchen.....but there were 3 employees "working" at the counter. Stopped here to work on the way up to Yosemite. Bought an overpriced drip coffee, tipped, and posted in their LARGE courtyard for 2 hours to get some work done. With my headphones in, I overheard a woman, who looked to be a manager or owner, make a loud comment in front of me to her staff "I was going to stay all day" and that I needed to "scram" and "get out of there". Very kind! Minutes later she came up and told me that I needed to leave because I "wasn't a paying customer". With my coffee in front of me I explained to her that I was working, would be on my lunch in 10 minutes, and planned on ordering something for lunch while I finished out my last hour of work. She reiterated that I had been there for a few hours and needed to leave the shady areas because their lunch rush was coming in (there was about 15 open tables and I was a paying customer. Looking to give them even more money for their overpriced lunch items). I wish that I had more of a response but I was so caught off guard at how rude the woman was. I felt so unwelcome as a paying customer. Decided against giving the woman more of my money and had a great sandwich down the street at Latte Da Coffee. So happy I did! This place was amazing. I'm usually not a fan of hotel restaurants, bc I feel they're over priced and nothing special. This place was different! Hugo makes his own whipped cream (best I've ever had), Fruit was super fresh, and if that was one scrambled egg - it must have been from an ostrich! Oh, and that burrito was twice what I expected. It was bigger than my bicep! (New goals!) I got full just looking at it! They must not be the best at counting bc we got 3 full fresh toasts with the two toast order. Here's to the next 3 meals of left overs! Indoor and outdoor garden seating . Both very beautiful. We sat in the Little garden area. Beautiful live edge knotted wood tables inside. Food was great, portions were huge! The ribs had a special sauce that had berries in it, so that was a pleasant surprise. Atmosphere was nice. The outdoor seating was a peaceful garden with the tables nicely spaced apart. We were on a vacation and this is one place that we ate at that we were able to enjoy our meal because we were able to set our baby out in the grass area, so we didn't have to hold her and she didn't get fussy as we enjoyed our meal.
