This is our go to market chain when visiting AZ. Lots of great deals and the staff is always friendly and helpful.

Came in at 9pm and asked the older gentleman behind the deli counter for some coleslaw. He pointed us to a rack and said "it's over there prepackaged". We checked out the rack and, upon learning there was nothing there, returned to the counter. "Sir it looks like you're all out, can we please get some from you?" We were staring at a huge tub behind the counter. He responded angrily with "we're in the middle of a flood!" We didn't see any water but could smell cleaning supplies. We walked away without the one thing we had come for. Very disappointed in the customer service here. read more

I stopped in to this store to pick up a few snacks and bottled water. They seem to be pretty comparable to the Basha stores in the valley. The store is well stocked and organized. Because it was a weekend the store was busy and the lines were long. This is a good store to do your shopping for the week, or to just pick up a few things. read more

The 3 stars is for their customer service, I just called to ask what time they close today it's Christmas Eve. The guy answered his name is like Dan or something like that said 7 then just hung up! I wasn't finished I was going to say thank u and wish him a merry Christmas. VERY RUDE. Just hang up on me. Also I've bought a pack of hotdogs 2 weeks ago and saw it was expired last month when I got home. Same with Safeway, I've seen their orange juice and cokes expired but still selling on the shelf. read more

We lived in AZ for 15 years and always shopped at Basha's. When we visit Sedona, Basha's is our go-to for whatever we need. Great selection and prices. Very clean. People are helpful and friendly. What more could you want? read more

Great store just beware of double parking. I left my car out front cuz I forgot my credit card thought it would take a sec and this guy got a little let's just say testy and started hurling explicits. So if you run into him his go to is to s his d. So your prepared unlike me I'd respond with something a little casual but more fitting than whatever i said. Your best move is to leave if you can handle f bombs he'll lob at you but if like me you try but get sucked in no pun intended I'd suggest responding with I can't I forgot my telescope or Hubble hasn't invented a telescope that strong yet. If your secure with Or we need to call your mamma first cuz I dont do sloppy seconds. Or we need to contact you your wife/sister and niece/daughter. Great store fresh everything soft I. Store baked cookies were the Best! Store sells boars head cold cuts!! Always a plus for me. Only reason no 5 stars the check out took for ever!! And were not very friendly as the rest of the store. read more

I wish there was a supermarket like Bashas in Oakland. The store is huge and very clean and staffed with some very friendly people. I was really happy with the big wine selection (even some AZ wines) and impressed with the natural foods section. They had bulk bins galore, and a separate freezer aisle for natural, organic and gluten-free foods. Right now I shop at a couple of places to get all those items, and having a one-stop shop would be fantastic. Prices are also quite reasonable. One quibble: we stopped in on our last day in Sedona to get some sandwiches made for the ride back to Phoenix. It took ten minutes for TWO sandwiches to be made and we were getting really impatient. However, the sandwiches were delicious and cheap - $5! read more

We had a August Saturday afternoon wedding and the team at Bashas' in Sedona were awesome. We had the wedding cake and multiple deli trays for the afternoon nuptials and Sarah (in the barker) and Natalie (in the deli) delivered excellent service. Decided to eat leftovers and cozy up in the time share unit since the weather outside is freezing. The snow finally stopped, so we went to Basha's for some salad and other goodies. This is a chain only in Arizona, so I was totally unfamiliar with it, and wasn't expecting much. I was surprised to find a big, bright, full-service supermarket with very friendly help. The deli counter, with Boar's Head products, caught our eye, so we decided to get some turkey to make sandwiches for the next day's lunch. The guy at the deli counter was terrific, gave us tastes of what the previous customer was ordering, as well as what we were getting, without us even asking. We walked the whole store, though we didn't need much since we were staying at a timeshare; we brought cereal and bagels with us from home for breakfast and were eating dinners out. But I love to explore supermarkets in "foreign" cities, and we needed the exercise! Check-out was a breeze. We were able to take advantage of the store's sale prices thanks to the card given to us by the timeshare resort, which Basha's honored. Very nice supermarket! read more

It is a grocery store. I would compare Bashas' to an Albertsons or Vons (for us California kids). The prices are pretty fair and the selection is what you would expect from a larger change grocery store. If you are looking for a more organic experience, Sedona does have a Trader Joes as well as a Natrual Foods market that you can check out. All and all there is nothing wrong with Bashas' but nothing stands out either. read more

Very unhappy with deli and management. I wanted a pound of a dish and the miserable looking man behind the counter grumbled and rolled his eyes when I asked for 2 containers because a pound wouldn't fit in 1 container. He was more than happy to lose my business and manager had no time to listen to my complaint. I went to Whole Foods afterwards and had a completely different and more pleasant experience. I'll never shop at Basha's again. I don't need unhappy people ruining my day because they're so miserable with theirs. read more

This location is off of 89 (the main highway) which is key if you're visiting and you have no idea where the grocery stores are located in the area. It turns out it is located right next to Safeway and further down from Whole Foods. I came to this location to buy groceries for the week. I was pleasantly surprised at the size. It's actually a good size supermarket with a lot of different options. The staff seemed friendly. The location was well lit and the produce was fresh and appealing. Parking was easy and prices seemed comparable to other grocery stores. read more

It has become a family tradition which usually last nearly a week, for our family to gather across state lines at our home to celebrate the fourth of July. One of the celebratory dinners my loved ones look forward to is sushi night. This night would not be sushi night without the freshest of tuna. That is where the meat department at Bashas' always come to to the rescue. I call several days ahead and they gladly arrange for the sushi grade fish to arrive on the agreed upon day. And the fish is sooo fresh and beautiful looking that it might as well jump off the tray and go swim away. But, we didn't let it! read more

I needed a few necessities and I found a little treasure for craft beer and premium spirits. I found a bottle of Macallan 15yr for $25 off the list price. What a deal! Service was a little slow, but it is a convenient location and a great place to grab alcohol for the hotel room while vacationing in Sedona. read more

The Bashas' Pharmacy has exceptional service and low prices. Very helpful people there who go out of their way to assist. Great bakery, too... The meat dept. provides some pretty inconsistent product, though. Sometimes good - sometimes tough as shoe leather. ( Also, stay away from the seafood, but that might be expected in the desert :) The Deli has always been a stand-out, with to-go dinners and wonderful salads. read more

Posted to FB! I want to thank Ken in the butcher shop at Basha's grocery in Sedona. God Bless this man and I told him so! Long story short, something happened this week that restored by faith in mankind. JR bought a pork shoulder, it didn't make it home somehow and it's still a question. I called Basha's and told them what happened. Yes, it was only $11-$13, still. I wanted to know if it could be tracked by our telephone number, YES! The man replaced the missing pork shoulder free of charge and didn't even track it! I thanked him two different times! He did the right thing for a 30 year customer! I cooked said pork shoulder in the crock pot overnight. FABULOUS, pulled pork! Enough to make burritos, tacos, BBQ sandwiches and a myriad of other recipes, to eat now, freeze for later. The aroma in the house is heavenly! Two of us can eat off of this for a week, if we had to. Why are poor folks who have lost their jobs, collecting unemployment/food stamps, living off the government, with kids to feed spending $7.00 each to go to McDonalds these days while bitching and complaining all the way? Makes absolutely no sense. Grrrrrrr! read more

I have no complaints about this grocery store. Very clean. Organized. Staff was friendly. And plenty of parking. Also it was conveniently opened later in the evening. Unlike Safeway which closed at 6 p.m.. We just picked up the basic staples for our vacation in Sedona. But the prices seemed pretty reasonable. This is Steve justice signing off in Sedona. read more

Basha's Shopping Center is not only a great place because it has Basha's Grocery Store but also because of the other great shop within the Center there. Basha's has great BBQ about one or two weekends per month throughout the year which ada a neighborly touch to this particular market. Everyone there is very helpful. Check out the singing buther in the meat dept. Good Deli too. Basha's Sedona has always been and I believe willl continue to be a pillar of the community. read more

1) Always out of everything 2) Slow checkout, only 1 lane open out of 10 possible checkout lanes. 3) Watchout, sometimes you will get a cashier that double swipes everything. 4) Deli is slow, workers standing in the back with their heads down while customers are waiting. 5) Watchout, lots of expired food on shelves. 6) Manager refuses to open another checkout lane when customers are waiting, even though he isn't doing anything but standing there. 7) Watchout, prices sometimes do not reflect discounts at register. 8) Watchout, sometimes they have very rude idiots restocking the shelves, not as bad as Safeway in that one respect however. 9) Watchout, when you walk in late at night, they constantly announce they are closing and when you get to the cashier you could wait for 20 minutes. 10) Watchout. read more

When we're in Sedona we generally stock up at Bashas' or Safeway and I don't pay much attention but this time I did. We buy fruit, peanut butter and such for breakfasts in, and beer and wine for the afternoons, but this time several staples didn't make it from my 25" suitcase to my 22", so they stayed home. No teas, no Splenda, that sort of thing. After breakfast at Ken's Creekside we headed over to Bashas'. Alan picked up a 6 pack of Oak Creek Village Nut Brown Ale and I chose a bottle of Penfolds Shiraz/Cabernet blend. Their fruit assortment was good. We picked up some bananas and Honeycrisp apples, the only apples we both like. Alan likes Fujis and Galas and I like more tart apples, like Sierra Beauties, Jazz or Granny Smiths, but Honeycrisps have just the right balance for us both. We found his favorite energy bars on sale in the health food section, along w/ a large container of my Chobani 2% yogurt. We picked up a small box of PG Tips tea and one of Splenda plus a few other things while Jim shopped for the stuff he needed. The store was clean and nicely laid out. People were friendly and I enjoyed watching customers come and go. I felt at home there. When I spoke w/ Tam later she told me that Bashas' is the mid-range store of the AJ's family of stores. I have fond memories of AJ's after many visits there when Tam and Ilana lived in Phoenix several years ago before moving back to California, so it would make sense that I would like this branch of their family. read more
