Bashas' is one of those places you end up relying on more than you expect. It's not flashy, it's not trying to reinvent grocery shopping, but it quietly does a lot right. We stopped in on our last trip through Sedona, and what stood out immediately was the staff. Everyone we interacted with was genuinely nice. Not forced, not rehearsed. Just friendly in a way that makes a quick stop feel a little more relaxed. A couple of brief conversations, a few smiles, people actually acknowledging you. It's a small thing, but it sticks with you. The store itself is clean and well organized. Nothing confusing about the layout. You can get in, find what you need, and get out without wandering around wondering where anything is. Selection is solid across the board. Produce looked fresh, shelves were stocked, and there's enough variety that you're not settling for second choice items. Prices are about what you'd expect for the area. Maybe a touch higher in spots, but nothing surprising given the location. It's convenient, and sometimes that's part of the equation. Checkout was smooth, no long delays, no frustration. Just a straightforward experience from start to finish. It's not a destination grocery store, and it doesn't need to be. It's dependable, easy to navigate, and backed by people who actually seem to care a little. That alone earns it four stars. read more

Every employee we came across in here this morning around 6:48 AM was INCREDIBLE! We got some ham and cheese which is the Sunday special for $5 a pound and a limit of 2. Perfectly sliced by the two fantastic gentlemen in the deli and we got some Basha's French bread. We are sitting on 89A surrounded by beauty and eating some great sandwiches. Yes, for breakfast! I visit Sedona twice a year. For obvious reasons, unwavering sunsets, the positive energy not only in the presence of Sedona but one that typically reflects in its locals. Unfortuantely, this trip I chose to shop at Bashas over Safeway or Whole Foods. The older woman who was working both customer service and self checkout over the holiday weekend...was by far the RUDEST person I have dealt with ever in a Bashas. She was bothered by the tiniest self checkout issue completely out of my control. She was clearly and blatantly annoyed to be doing her job. While I did hers using self checkout. Save your time and your peace and go anywhere but here. As a business owner myself. I would be completely disappointed in this level of service provided. read more

Came in for provisions before checking into our Airbnb. We covered departments from dry goods to water to dairy to frozen. Actually had a slight run-in with a "local" in the self checkout line who poked fun at me to his wife for my use of a reusable grocery bag saying "who the hell would do that?" and "they must be from Cali". Who would care about me using my own bag and actually say something?! So I challenged him on it and said I'd prefer to use a sturdy, reusable grocery bag AND that I'm from NV, not CA! ;) ‍ Zero complaints on this location! Fair prices. Highly recommend! Stopped in to grab a deli sandwich (honey roasted turkey with bacon), and it was made to perfection. Secondly, Hannah, who made the sandwich while I waited, also provided excellent customer service. I'll definitely be stopping back at Bashas' when I want a made-to-order deli sandwich. read more

Learned about Bashas while visiting Sedona, AZ. Good prices, clean store and really good customer service. I noticed there were special deals on some items if you had a Badgers number and asked the clerk how to get it. He immediately helped me get it and wow I saved quite a bit. Convenient to our resort and we'd never been in one of these stores before. This is a grocery store and also has a Starbucks located near the entrance. They have self checkout or regular lines. Self checkout was faster so we opted for that option. When checking out our machine ran into an issue so we had to wait on an associate to assist. She's was quick and friendly, fixing the issue quickly. We were in need of a styrofoam cooler for our trip to the Grand Canyon and they actually had them! They were located on the top of the freezers in the freezer section of the store. read more

It took a few seconds to sign up for their free Thank You membership, which took off $20 in savings from my bill changing the total from $70 to $50. Clean supermarket prices seemed high and puzzled at the closed deli section. Wanted blue berries but they had only 2 boxes that were overpriced. As others said it's over priced, but if you're visiting it's still cheaper to buy some staples and cook some meals instead of eating out every night. If you're ordering things like Mac salad and seafood salad from the deli know that you'll need to season them yourself. Butter isn't with the eggs and milk, it's at an endcap by the meat section. I came here to grab some grapes as they were on sale which I knew about from the weekly ad, and the produce wasn't the freshest but I still managed to find a bag of good ones. Checkout lines were quick, but I'm a bit surprised to see self-checkout aren't installed at this chain yet. read more

I have frequented Basha's weekly for 11 years. I heard from people this week that employees were not wearing masks for customer's safety. The manager, who respectfully had a mask on stated she could not force her employees to wear them. Why not? Safeway does. I was surprised the cashier did not have a mask on either. Once she moved away from the protective plastic to bag we were 2 feet apart. I had my mask on for her and my safety. I love Bashas,, but Im done with the Deli. Last week I was there trying to get ham. A guy was waiting on and customer he said he'd be right with me I waited 15 minutes patiently and some thing upset him and he left his post the woman that was working back there ignored me and pretty soon they were five of more customers. Finally I said excuse me ., I have been waiting and she said, i'm sorry but I'm cooking chicken you're just gonna have to wait. I was exasperated and I left. So today I decided to give it another try. Once again there was a young man waiting on another customer and that same woman what's doing busy work and told me I was just gonna have to wait. Less than 1 star. For a tourist area grocery store not to have a courtesy card at the register for sale items is ridiculous.

Wow!?!? You guys have, by far, one of the best grocery locations I've ever walked in to. So why the one star, I don't know how you hire or train but the young man that's working today 7-12-2023 named Marycel (couldn't read it but thought that's how you spell it) is legitimately the worst human in customer service I ever met. I though he wanted to fight me and I don't know what I did. When I walked up to the self checkout he yelled (not exaggerating like he was having the worst day of his life) "that one only takes credit or debit." I smiled at him and said I know I saw the sign, I couldn't believe he said: "you can't even get any cash back." At that point I just looked at him and said I don't need cash back. Everything else about your store is better than Safeway but I'd never walk back into your store. I don't want to have to be yelled at. Train your employees how to talk to people? This guy has to be someone's family because you can not be this rude and still have a job without it being some form of nepotism. After 14 year of shopping Bashas in Sedona, I'm finally done. I run in there for some salad dressing and I see a 12 pack of Pacifico ( beer) on special. It's been super hot in Sedona the last few days so I thought a nice imported ice cold beer would be great later. Big yellow Special Ad says !7.99. I self checkout and it rings at 22.99. As luck would have it, the manager who has been there for years was close by so I ask " What's up with this? It's posted at 17.99/" HE asks if I put in my loyalty # . I had. Is it a digital special, he asks? Digital special?!? WTF is that? They did this a while back on Coke. I said, you know what? Keep it all, and left it sitting on the scanner. They won't miss me I know as they rip off the tourists on a daily basis. I'm not kidding. You can literally see the price jump when tourist season begins. I liked the store, the employees and I won't change pharmacies but this ' Bait and switch' in which they are engaged is B.S. Good bye to you. Never reviewed a supermarket. Because, back home on a Saturday evening the local supermarket of a national chain is always understocked and under staffed. Well basha's is different. This one is well organized, well stocked. And when we needed help very friendly. And a large parking lot. And they have a real starbucks. read more

This review is based only on the floral department at Bashas. I eloped in Sedona and was looking for a reasonably priced bridal bouquet and boutonniere. I contacted a few florists and the prices were higher than I wanted to spend. I quickly learned that a reasonably priced bouquet in Sedona was priced at $100. I contacted Bashas and spoke to the floral department. They asked what colors I would like and produced a beautiful pink and white bouquet and boutonniere! The flowers were ready by the promised time and we headed to Schnebly Hill for our elopement! My bouquet was $34.99 and my husband's boutonniere was $12.99. I was extremely pleased with the customer service, fair pricing and beautiful flowers! read more

I'm sorry to say that this was the most uncomfortable shopping experience of the past several months. They did spray the carts, though many patrons were not wearing masks when masks are required in Sedona. These patrons were served (checked out) without any suggestion by Basha's employees that this was an issue. The store has narrow isles and a small checkout area. When it got busy at the checkout area, it became difficult to social distance. And if people aren't following the mask requirement, it makes for an uncomfortable experience. I won't be going back. I'd rather pay more at Whole Foods where patrons and management seem to be taking this seriously. read more

Yes... I am reviewing Bashas' - but this is not just any Bashas' - this is the Bashas' right in the heart of Sedona! We stopped in to pick up groceries for the weekend, and not only was it wonderful to step out of the car in weather that was almost 20 degrees less than it was in the Valley when we left, but the scent of barbecue was in the air... yes, this Bashas' had an outdoor area where you can purchase bbq to go. We started there and picked up ribs, tri-tip, and chicken. They cooked it while we shopped inside and it was ready when walked out of the store with our purchases. Inside, the staff was friendly... we were offered 'designing our own cake' (for fathers day) although we declined it, and we were directed to the aisles we were looking for several times by staff members. We were able to try an orange before purchasing, and when we accidentally dropped a jar of pickles, they cleaned it up immediately! (That was not me for the record). We spent $150 on groceries and we're set for the weekend! Whether in Sedona or Scottsdale, I'm a huge Bashas' fan! read more

The selection of organic and alternative type foods here is pretty awesome, they have some of the same things that Whole Paycheck, I mean Foods has at a bit more reasonable prices. But the true reason I love this store is how kind the employees are here. Every person I have encountered that works here seems genuinely interested in helping. read more

It's sad that with how the new Bashas store management has limited having a regular customer service - check out line for our commuity. So, last time I was there, there were three available cashiers. One at he automatic check out and two behind the customer service counter. So, another women and I were there asking about the regular line cashier line and we were told there is none available.
