Very cool atmosphere. Friendly staff. Liked the frozen whiskey coke. Definitely recommend.

The basement bar is easy to pass by walking down the strip. It's advertised as the worlds smallest honky tonk but it was not as small as it sounds. Basement bar has a great atmosphere with people just dancing, drinking and having a great time. The dollar bills lining the whole place is awesome and fun to just read what they all say. Friday and Saturday nights really shine here and is packed with people while Sunday nights has a dozen regulars watching bull riding on the TVs and drinking a shiner.

Look close or you'll miss the entrance; it is below street-level!

According to the dictionary, the term 'dive-bar' originally referenced disreputable places to drink. They were usually in a cellar or basement, so the inebriated denizens could dive out of sight - if unsympathetic callers arrived. Based on that; this is the perfect 'dive-bar' - right in the midst of the Ft. Worth Stockyards! Smaller and darker than the street-level bars, this was the perfect place for me to hide while my wife shopped on the touristy street! It sports a friendly and casual bartender, an adequate variety of liquor, and even features a bit of western flair. I liked the cave-like no-frills interior, and hope to return! Thumbs way up!

Moldy rags

Heavy set blonde bartender is rude. Shoved her drink at me and my group and blamed us for her spilling liquor on us. Also there's moldy rags wrapped around pipes coming out of the ceiling. First time here not wasting my time coming back. This app won't let me give 0 stars either

Great little "dive bar" that is literally in a basement. They're on the corner of W Main and N Exchange. If you walk too fast you'll miss it. We were there in the early evening, so I don't know what the late night vibe is. Bartenders were friendly and welcoming and they pour a nice strong drink. There's a small dance floor and stage. (Not sure if they have live music), they do play country through a sound system. There are TVs that were streaming the football game. Great people watching witch is my favorite sport. While we were there it appeared to be 4:1 ratio of single women to men...if that helps. All in all an enjoyable time.

The bar area is lined with dollar bills of all visitors be sure to add yours; The bar is definitely a tourist stop as well as a local, hang out bar hop spot . Small space with decent drinks, expect your regular local beers, mix drinks . They do have a dance floor however, no band was playing during my visit .

Never asked me if i wanted a drink. Bartenders ignored the fact i was here. Will not be coming back. Live music was the only plus.

People kept coming even after midnight & everyone was just having fun! After a while, you don't notice the old cigarette smell anymore... lol. I have never seen so many ppl of all ages who actually came to sing & most were pretty good at it! We heard songs from almost all genres. The "spontaneous" decor, with no artistic values, is actually funny. So, it was absolutely worth what we went there for!

Coming to Billy Bob's was the best choice we could've made that day. $6 admission for A/C was a no brainer. BB saved me from passing out and or crabbiness. The BBQ was good but I had overheated and only ordered the sausage for the sake of trying it while I was in TX. My son got a massive burger and fries which he said was delicious. $11 Half lb pepper sausage $10 fried pickles $14 Jack & jalapeno burger There are numerous bars everywhere, gift shop at the entry, an arena by the main bathrooms, pool tables scattered about ($2 to play) and a stage near the restaurant. It was nice being able to enjoy live music and relax. Love the dimmed setting, wooden tables, metal hardware and fixtures, repurposed barrel tables, and neon lights. Most people were dressed up with cowboy boots and hats. Cute couples on dates playing pool and enjoying the ambiance.

General admission is pretty reasonable--usually around $6 to $8 depending on the day and time you go. The place is absolutely massive!! I had no idea that it was so big!! Not only is there a whole dedicated dance floor but tons of pool tables, arcade games, and even a full indoor rodeo arena for live bull riding! I was misled and thought there was a mechanical bull.. there is not unfortunately but there is like a fake bull you can pay and take photos with. We happened to walk in right in the middle of a line-dancing class, which was super fun to watch! It's pretty amazing how quickly the dancers, both men and women, picked up the steps and choreography. They were all super good! Afterwards, it transitioned into open floor dancing, which was equally entertaining in my opinion! As a first-timer, it was a total blast and it's easy to see why it's such an iconic tourist destination. We didn't end up eating here since we had just grabbed dinner at Cattlemen's nearby, but the BBQ and other food options here didn't look super appetizing. Still, for drinks, dancing, and authentic Texas atmosphere, it's a must-visit when you're in the Stockyards!

The bartenders were very nice and accommodating. The bar was clean and semi-busy. All drinks were pretty standard. Nothing extravagant or different. Please open your pool tables and dart board, it will double business and give your patrons more reasons to come out and play. Other guests were also complaining about the pool tables and dart board being unavailable. We would have stayed a lot longer if it was available. We would definitely return and highly suggest everyone to try this place. Especially if you are looking for a casual, no-nonsense bar. The music is good, but not too loud. You can still talk to the person next to you.

Extremely disappointing and unacceptable experience - Halloween night…read more I visited Stockyard Saloon on Halloween night with a group of friends, and what happened was completely unacceptable. While we were using the restroom, a female bartender aggressively started banging on the door, yelling, "Hurry the fuck up," because she needed to use the restroom herself. Her behavior was incredibly hostile and unprofessional. Things escalated even further when she became confrontational, appeared to want to physically fight us, and actually pushed one of my friends. I have never experienced such disrespectful and aggressive behavior from someone working at a bar. There is absolutely no excuse for an employee to verbally abuse customers or put their hands on them. Management seriously needs to address this situation. Employees like this should not be interacting with customers, especially when they cannot control their own behavior. We went out to enjoy Halloween with our friends and instead had to deal with an aggressive bartender who made the entire experience uncomfortable and unpleasant. I would not recommend this place based on our experience.
