Discovered this awesome coffee spot while I was in Tysons. They actually have a rock climbing fitness upstairs and Basecamp Coffee is downstair. The service here is so welcoming and friendly. They definitely take that extra care when making your drinks. I ordered their Mexican Mocha and it was absolutely outstanding. It was a light drink that was not overly sweet yet flavors truly stood out. I loved the rich chocolatey flavor with a little kick of cinnamon. I love the quiet, chill, and cozy vibe here. Stumbled upon Basecamp Coffee and it's giving all the vibes!!! I had every intention of getting iced coffee but after walking inside and getting lost I'm the interior because it is that cute inside!' I went out on a limb and asked the gent for a recommendation based on the notion that I am an avid my have iced coffee everyday kinda person, he recommended a Chaider and it was sip worthy!!! Think if a chai tea and apple cider had a small sip, this is it!!! The interior is so eye catching, the gents begins the counter were friendly!! Plus, you can get a climb in too!!! Base camp is my new go to coffee shop in the Tyson's area! The shop is large and has ample seating for groups, people to work on their laptops, and even a bar area. Coffee selections and taste are pretty good for both espresso based drinks and pour overs. Plenty of parking, located in the spot of the old furniture store. Only downside is the speed. The barista handling our drinks while we were there took over 15 minutes for our 2 drinks. His movements were extremely slow, he was chatting with the other staff members and even took a phone call on his cell at one point. Efficiency is important! read more

I love how they have ample seating and plenty of charge ports for Laptops and phones. The location is on the side of the strip mall and they recently added signage to that effect. While in NoVA, we frequented this cafe on the daily! Hubby and I loved the unique drinks and bakery selections. Parking: free parking! Just find a spot closer to the back. Location: it's at the back, closest to the hotel. Do we need landmark directions? When you park, walk to the right side of the building complex, keep going to the back, and you will see the entrance. What they got: really good coffee! It's the perfect spot to grab your caffeine fix, breakfast, and just lounge. Overall, I LOVED all the drinks I tried. I'm so glad we found this place! This coffee shop is very unassuming especially for being in the Tysons area! It is a large space with plenty of seating options. I got one of the season inspired lattes (less sweet) and it was tasty. My partner got a black coffee and enjoyed it as well. The pastries looked great although we didn't try any. Staff was friendly and drinks were made in a timely manner. Super cool modern spot, hidden away behind the Chick-fil-A. This coffee shop is inviting, has free Wi-Fi, and is connected to a new rock climbing gym! This would be a great place to catch up with friends or for a coffee/rock climbing date (they have a daily drop in option). I want to come back and try the climbing. The service was fast and friendly. I got the chunky monkey flavored latte and it was very good. It tastes like the Ben and Jerry's ice-cream. Cool space, it's clean, modern and hip. The upstairs is a rock climbing facility with a workout space in the corner (cardio equipment, free weights, squat rack). You need to use the bathroom on this floor. The bathrooms are high tech and clean. The baristas were friendly. We decided on the Japanese cold drip which was market price. Didn't expect it to be over $8. Pretty pricey. I also wasn't fond of the taste. The barista was nice enough to add oat milk free of charge. It wasn't organic or anything fancy. I wish I tried the food instead. Maybe next time. read more

Coffee Shop No. 418 Basecamp Coffee Roasters Tysons, VA September 21, 2024 I was so excited to finally get to have coffee with one of my CrossFit buddies. We made our way to Basecamp Coffee Roasters. It's located in the back corner of a very busy parking lot, but we had no problem finding parking. The shop was much grander than I expected. Colorful vintage style posters of National Parks are hung on the wall. Gorgeous live edge wood bar height tables are available to relax at. The space was very open and the lighting gave off an uncluttered spacious feel even though the shop was busy when I was there. It seemed like great spot to get remote work done; an entire side of the shop was full folks on their computers. Be sure to take a glance at the coffee bags they have for sale. The bags are bright with vivid colors; several were for sale. Above Basecamp Coffee Roasters is Vertical Rock Climbing and Fitness Center. My son used to be an avid climber so I made my way up the stairs to check it out. The space is large and it focuses on bouldering. In one corner is a fitness center and classes are available. Obviously, I went there for the cortado and it was delicious, but I was too busy chatting with my friend I forgot to take a picture. ‍ Enjoying life one cortado at a time! read more

I've been here on three occasions and I absolutely love the national park themed decor with the contrasting cozy industrial environment. I highly recommend the s'mores latte and the pistachio mocha latte. The coffee here is soooo good and smooth. NO BITTER TASTE whatsoever like some other coffee shops. The service is always 10/10. My only con is that the coffee is rather expensive which is why I only get it when I want to splurge on myself. I've paid $9-10 for coffee each time I've stopped by. read more

I'm not sure what there is to not like about Basecamp. The interior is clean and spacious, with lots of big tables to study or do work at. It's pretty empty on a Friday night (with an exception of a couple other groups here either to catch up or do work). I really like that they have a late closing time (10 PM on most days!). There's also a variety of drinks here outside of coffee like teas and bottled drinks (water, Gatorade, Monster, soda, juice, etc.). They also sell a small variety of pastries along with chocolate and protein bars. I got their CORTADO - 3.85 - today and it was pretty good - definitely strong and could taste the espresso. I wasn't amazed by the coffee quality, but that doesn't matter too much to me since I like everything that this place offers (lots of table space, late closing time, clean, variety of pastries and food). Next time, I'll try their pour overs here (they have single origin options of light, medium, and dark roast) even though they're a bit more pricy than other locations (dark is 6 and light is 7, if I recall). Even though Basecamp is a bit far from where I live, I'd definitely make the drive to enjoy the cafe vibes while getting work done. read more

Tucked in the side of the shopping center is Basecamp coffee. I would have never known this placed existed until I was looking for a coffee shop in the area. Upstairs is a indoor climbing center. The ambiance is modern coffee shop, there was a couple of people working. The baristas was friendly and helpful. It is nice they have a couple of options and speciality beans they feature. We got a lavender milk tea, latte and an ice coffee. The coffees were pretty good and the prices are what you expect. Some of the specialty beans are a bit more pricey. It's tucked away in the back and if you didn't know what you were looking for, I can see people totally passing this place. I loved that this place was open late, they stay open for the patrons of the rock climbing gym upstairs as well which is a great perk. They have plenty of specialty coffees offered here but the Japanese cold brew was stellar! They only make limited batches so once they run out, they are out so make sure to grab some if it's available. read more

Excellent cup of drip coffee - a bit pricey at $4 but real estate is not cheap in Tyson's and, oh yeah, inflation. Haven't been in a coffee joint in a few weeks so that's probably average these days. Interesting pour over options look worth a try for a couple extra bucks and a bit more time. I was gonna get the quiche, but the lemon curd Danish seduced me into a sweeter choice... no regrets! Best of all, a welcoming place to work for awhile, as the name suggests. Comfy upholstered banquettes and padded leather chairs. It's tough to find this little gem since its entrance is on the back side of a strip mall. Drive like you're going to park behind the Container Store. Service is fast and friendly. There specialty coffees are tasty. Drinks come out just above drinking temp, so you don't have to wait ten minutes just to sip. Lots of buttery pastries both savory and sweet which they will heat up for you. Every time we come there are lots of people on their computers -- plenty of plugs. The shop also has a cold case with a variety of workout drinks. read more

This is a pretty nice coffee shop, it screams 'Fairfax County' while still having a this industrial outdoors vibe to it. The coffee itself is stellar, the latte's are delicious and they have an enormous selection of teas, energy drinks, water and workout recovery beverages. Service was good, and the baristas made good suggestions. They also have a nice selection of pastries and snacks. They don't (appear to) have a kitchen to make things like breakfast or lunch sammiches, so don't come with the expectation for it. There is a ton of seating, the power outlets for laptops are under the seating benches right in the middle with two a/c outlets and a few USB-A slots for you to plug into. The rest of the seating is tabletop with high chairs and a few additional outlets along the walls. The space is comfortable and very large. read more

A wonderful addition to Nova's coffee scene! Basecamp is hidden and tucked away - you'll have to pull all the way through the parking lot and the front door is on the side of the building. When you walk in, it's instant vibes - lo-fi, open modern space, travel posters of all the national parks. It's def a good place to sit and work. Coffee and vibes were good. I came on a Thursday afternoon and it wasn't busy at all. The menu is a pretty standard coffee shop menu so I just got a caramel latte which was made really quickly. I came here to do work and unfortunately the wifi was a little spotty where I was sitting between the windows and the coffee bar. If you need the wifi, I would recommend sitting closer to the center of the store. read more

The interior is comfortable and the spacing between the multiple tables was sufficient to have conversations with friends and not feel like you're being listened to. Ironically enough, since I didn't order a coffee during my visit, I cannot say anything about the coffee... However, since I did order a tea (more specifically, a Lavender Milk Tea), I can wholeheartedly say their tea is delicious! There aren't many lavender-flavored teas in the area, so lo and behold I was elated to see lavender on the Basecamp Coffee drink menu. Not only that, when I got my drink, I was even more elated to discover that (1) their lavender syrup is made in house and (2) said syrup is absolutely delicious. 11/10 recommend their lavender milk tea!!
