Street parking was easy to find Indoors, it was very spacious with manicure tables to the left and large chairs for services that include a pedicure to the right. The decor is simple and elegant. They have a menu of drinks to serve you (including alcohol). I enjoyed a bottled water and small cup of iced matcha. The technician was very kind, efficient, and provided a beautiful/simple manicure for our bump photos later that day. The service was also very reasonably priced!! If pricing transparency improves, I think this could be a solid option for some. From the 1st time I was here till many times later everything about this place is stellar. How they handle their customers goes above and beyond any other establishment. I had a very rare little lifting on my week old manicure and they went above and beyond to fix it. Not once made me feel bad and they chose to redo the set as opposed to just fixing the nail. Chop shop practices under the veil of luxury services. Cut my cuticles in multiple places, used a dirty unsanitized tweezer to put nail glue on top of the bleeding sore spot and placed acetone on the punctured skin of my cuticle beds. Numerous health code violations as cited in Article 12. Health and Safety Title 16, Division 9, California Code of Regulations Board of Barbering and Cosmetology I've visited the salon on two occasions the first only receiving a pedicure which was good initiating my second return. I booked a Gel X appointment with design and base pedicure which the staff prompted would require a Level 2 or 3 designer to execute the reference design (incurring additional costs, which was fine) halfway through the design I had to stop the artist from continuing because the design was thick and no where near the reference I that was assured to me that they would be capable of executing. Tried gaslighting me into letting her finish but I insisted on simplifying the design because I would not want to continue sitting in a chair for additional time was I was in the salon for 2.5 hours. While I value the effort of the artist, I do not take lightly to deception. She ensured her capabilities and I left with sore nail beds, irritated cuticles and grave disappointment over what was supposed to be a luxurious experience as marketed. Reached out to the staff via e-mail to rectify the matter with a full or partial refund. They declined. They offered to redo my nails but I am not willing to return to a salon that has already cut me due to poor nail prep before design services and inflicted pain on my hands just for the sake of a better design. Extreme lack of accountability and desire to maintain customer service as a priority. You're paying for the construction of their salon, not a difference in the quality of service. read more

It was a very basic service, I wasn't offered any add ons or upgrades. I've been to nails salons that charge less and do much more and offer more. They don't offer men's manicure. The charge men for a basic manicure that includes a polish when you ask for a buff they charge you more for that even though a polish is so much h more extensive than a simple shiny buff . They should customize a men's manicure price. It's a very pretty salon but most likely won't return because of the quality of the actual service it self. read more

As soon as I walked in, I felt a spa vibe with good music and everything is neutral in color, including the way that the staff is dressed. I was immediately offered a choice of beverages (flat or sparkling water, juice or champagne). Natto took the time to review my color and design selections with me. She's a perfectionist and she pays very close attention to detail. She did not disappoint and she did an excellent job. I love the shape and the design! I had a terrible experience at Base. No experience, terrible service, no real nail technicians, horrible service, so rude. These nail techs don't listen to what you want, I had asked her to draw a black heart for me in the middle of my toe, and she moved it to the left, I explained to her many times to re-do the heart I needed it in the middle, and she couldn't understand that, I asked another "nail tech" if she could see how it wasn't drawn in the middle and she did. I had them remove everything and they still tried to charge me for the pedicure they didn't do for me. Bad manners, very dirty, cheap salon. They are young people that don't know what they are doing. Very sad waste of time going here. No one listens. I didn't pay for the pedicure. They also were trying to steal from me by charging me a manicure I NEVER asked for.
