As a former nail technician, I really loved this place. I am very picky about pedicure especially if they don't clean all the way. Tammy did my pedicure and her technique was good, she was very quick and cared about small details. A lot of other salons, when do client's pedicure they don't clean under the nail bed and skip that step, but she did everything ! The salon was clean, receptionists were very polite, worth to drive there. Parking is next to the salon, but was limited. Over all 5/5 read more

They say walk-ins welcome but they couldn't provide me any service. One person asked me to wait then another came out from the back and told me to make an appointment. I came multiple hours before closing and they didn't even ask what service I wanted. The service I wanted takes a mere 25 mins according to their site. Walk ins clearly not welcome read more

I had a generally pleasant experience at Base Nail Bar, though there are a few important things to note. I do not remember my nail tech's name, but everyone I interacted with was kind, welcoming, and professional. The overall customer service was strong, and they even offered a complimentary beverage, which was a nice touch. They had a variety of beverage options featured, though not everything was available. I understand they are newer, so that part was not a major issue for me. The space itself was aesthetically nice, and parking was very easy. There was a small lot right next to the salon, and I had no issues parking or with my vehicle while I was there. My main concern, and the reason I am unsure about returning, was the pricing. I found the pricing structure to be misleading and unclear. I prefer knowing upfront what I am committing to cost wise, and in this case, the final price did not feel transparent, consistent, or well explained. While the service itself was fine, the pricing did not feel justifiable to me, which made the experience less enjoyable overall. That said, the staff was friendly, and the environment was pleasant. If pricing transparency improves, I think this could be a solid option for some. For now, though, I personally prefer nail salons where costs are clearly outlined from the start, so for that reason, I likely will not be returning. read more

From the 1st time I was here till many times later everything about this place is stellar. How they handle their customers goes above and beyond any other establishment. I had a very rare little lifting on my week old manicure and they went above and beyond to fix it. Not once made me feel bad and they chose to redo the set as opposed to just fixing the nail. The energy there is fabulous. The people are great hands-down worth the money. Good times enjoy the drinks iced coffee is a vibe. Thanks again. See you soon! read more

Cheers Changnam & P to your new chapter and new growth! (: I'm so glad and proud to have been able to meet such great artists. Such an amazing space and well thought out atmosphere. It's giving modern, elegant, and museum feels. From the clean and clear walls to the two open sink basins for rinsing your nails (w/o needing to go into the restroom) This nail bar had every detail down! As always service was is always GRADE A. Changnam and P strives to deliver excellence in this and the craftsmanship?Triple A! Be it a high level design or just normal color. YOUR NAILS WILL LAST YOU A MONTH AND MORE depending on how you go about your days. My longest record was 2 months on gel extensions! It was a busy Friday afternoon and the team was slammed and busy. They handled the rush gracefully. I'm so glad to see locals coming by to support you all too. Congratulations again to the new location!(: read more

Came here for a quick manicure (no gel, just polish) and was pleasantly surprised. Street parking was easy to find Indoors, it was very spacious with manicure tables to the left and large chairs for services that include a pedicure to the right. The decor is simple and elegant. They have a menu of drinks to serve you (including alcohol). I enjoyed a bottled water and small cup of iced matcha. The technician was very kind, efficient, and provided a beautiful/simple manicure for our bump photos later that day. The service was also very reasonably priced!! I don't get manicures often, but next time I do, I'll be choosing Base! read more

Chop shop practices under the veil of luxury services. Cut my cuticles in multiple places, used a dirty unsanitized tweezer to put nail glue on top of the bleeding sore spot and placed acetone on the punctured skin of my cuticle beds. Numerous health code violations as cited in Article 12. Health and Safety Title 16, Division 9, California Code of Regulations Board of Barbering and Cosmetology I've visited the salon on two occasions the first only receiving a pedicure which was good initiating my second return. I booked a Gel X appointment with design and base pedicure which the staff prompted would require a Level 2 or 3 designer to execute the reference design (incurring additional costs, which was fine) halfway through the design I had to stop the artist from continuing because the design was thick and no where near the reference I that was assured to me that they would be capable of executing. Tried gaslighting me into letting her finish but I insisted on simplifying the design because I would not want to continue sitting in a chair for additional time was I was in the salon for 2.5 hours. While I value the effort of the artist, I do not take lightly to deception. She ensured her capabilities and I left with sore nail beds, irritated cuticles and grave disappointment over what was supposed to be a luxurious experience as marketed. Reached out to the staff via e-mail to rectify the matter with a full or partial refund. They declined. They offered to redo my nails but I am not willing to return to a salon that has already cut me due to poor nail prep before design services and inflicted pain on my hands just for the sake of a better design. Extreme lack of accountability and desire to maintain customer service as a priority. You're paying for the construction of their salon, not a difference in the quality of service. read more

This is literally the best manicure, pedi I've gotten in soooo long! I'm so thrilled and excited! Also, the space is incredibly clean, super cozy, cool playlist, and has nothing but the best products from the snacks, water, and nail products to the bathroom! I loved coming and I'm so giddy that I got an amazing care package! It includes cuticle oil, hand lotion, and an inhaler to breathe better in this LA air quality. Also, everyone is so professional! Don't walk, run! They're running a 20% offf grand opening promotion. While I'm a big fan of the founders I was pleasantly impressed with the staff's skill set! I'm attaching photos. Congrats to Changman and Base for bringing the class and skill I've been looking for! I have had the pleasure of getting my nails done by Changnam for about 3 years now and I am truly amazed and proud of him for curating such an amazingly special place like this! His attention to detail and love for his craft sets him apart from every other salon. Upon walking in the vibe is top tier and the customer service as well. Wow just wow! This place 10/10 all over the board! I heard about this place from a tiktoker I follow, Malia. She did say it was a pretty penny to get your nails done here, so I knew going in that this salon would be on the pricey side. Also it is located right smack in the heart of West Hollywood! The first time I came here I came for a mani and pedi. They are so communicative, they offer you a complementary drink for your service. The aesthetic of the salon is amazing, it's very spacious, bright, and the music is a vibe. Each of their nail techs is amazing! But!! I have to shout out my girl MAI! My nails have never looked better! She spends so much time on my nail prep, in a way that leaves me SHOCKED! Because of her nail prep my first nail sets lasted me 6 weeks, no lifting no breaking! This second time around was no different. It was again, 10/10. It is a little pricey, but you do get what you pay for. And they are always able to assist you if you are confused on pricing/ any questions you may have. I love this nail salon and so happy I found a new go to that care about the quality of your nails and you as a customer! read more

From the moment you walk in, the customer service is on a whole different level compared to anywhere else I've been. They genuinely make you feel valued, welcomed, and cared for, not rushed or treated like you're just another appointment. Every detail and experience matters to them. My experiences with Mai, my nail technician, have been nothing short of amazing. She is incredibly meticulous, caring, and attentive, always taking the time to make sure everything is perfect. You can tell she truly takes pride in her work. On top of that, their sanitation standards are top-tier--tools are clean, organized, and handled with so much care, which gives a total peace of mind with all the nail technicians. The entire staff is another huge reason why I'll continue coming back. Everyone is friendly, professional, and creates such a positive, relaxing environment. It's rare to find a salon that consistently delivers great service and makes you feel appreciated as a client, but Base does exactly that. Base has completely raised the bar for nail salons and I'll happily continue giving them my business. Thank you Base Team! read more

This place is very nice. Friendly staff, excellent service, reasonable prices. We will absolutely return, and would recommend!

The new nail spot is beautiful inside and everyone is nice and so amazing. They offer beverages and they are so good, the pricing doesn't match the service. It was a very basic service, I wasn't offered any add ons or upgrades. I've been to nails salons that charge less and do much more and offer more. They don't offer men's manicure. The charge men for a basic manicure that includes a polish when you ask for a buff they charge you more for that even though a polish is so much h more extensive than a simple shiny buff . They should customize a men's manicure price. It's a very pretty salon but most likely won't return because of the quality of the actual service it self. read more

My appointments are done on time and service qualities is very high. Easy to communicate as.

Natto has done my nails for a few years and I followed her to Base Nail Bar. My first appointment was on Saturday, August 30th. As soon as I walked in, I felt a spa vibe with good music and everything is neutral in color, including the way that the staff is dressed. I was immediately offered a choice of beverages (flat or sparkling water, juice or champagne). Natto took the time to review my color and design selections with me. She's a perfectionist and she pays very close attention to detail. She did not disappoint and she did an excellent job. I love the shape and the design! The WeHo location is nice and there's free parking in an adjacent parking lot. I will admit that Base Nail a bit pricey, but well worth it. I've already made my next appointment! read more

What a great place! Professional, clean and pleasant vibe. All positive. Will definitely return again!

So I came here because I heard that the nail techs are good. Yeah it was ok but nothing to rave about. The reason why I'm giving one star is because wow, the prices are crazy like y'all see this. The quality ain't that crazy too. THEY CHARGE 25 for color changes!!!!! WT. The customer service was awful and we gotta asked for water!? And they charge for reshape. Like Jesus go to any other salon they don't charge you for those. These other reviews are dumpsters . read more
