I just spent $8 on soup and it had mold on top...super disappointed. Probably safe to say I won't be a returning customer.

I would give them 0 stars !!!! The tall Middle Eastern man with the glasses is rude.He will close his cashier when it's time to serve you. He also has a complex about doing his job. I only mentioned his ethnicity because I've heard them be racist. He will close his cashier, when it's your turn and then start talking to the next cashier while they are helping you, which distracts from you being able to purchase. Some of the rudest people. Their products are low quality for the price. I see rats running around on top of their products all the time and I chipped my two front teeth on their salad. A lot of their food is expired. You would think they were Upscale for the prices they charge. They are overcharging you for a lot of items. Have to be careful. I also chipped two of my front teeth from their salad. I live on the same block as this terrible place. There are also rats running all over this store !!!

    Barzini's MothersDay queue 2017

Been here one or two times prior but just realized I've never reviewed it. Truth be told yelp-mate Tons is on my arse about reviews and I'm a wee bit 'fraid of her so...... Mothers day 2017 and many shoppers were getting last minute ingredients for mama's cake, her dinner etc. It being a small space or maybe it's just small aisles lends itself to a lot of (inappropriate) touching /bouncing. I sighed with sadness that it wasn't me as my auntie's basket ran straight into a hank's ASSets. Each time we bumped shoulders though everyone was really pleasant about it. Other visits was a bit uncomfortable as I was stared at to the high heavens. I don't like it when stares are accompanied by scowls. This time staff was very pleasant. They assisted my aunt in finding exactly what she needed to prepare her mother's day lunch. Yeah Yeah, I know, why didn't we cook? Well she's too picky so she prefers to do things her way so it'll be done right. Her words not ours. There's a wide assortment of specialty foods as advertised. I even found maca (root) powder, something I've been searching for for a hot minute that claims to be great for women's health. They sell prepared meals and of course you favorite and hard to find ingredients. Maybe it's pricy, I don't know because auntie paid. Hahahaha. I like Barzini's. I always feel as if I'm in a little European supermarket and we also got free baking soda! Well happy mothers day indeed! Lol. The End.

From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with nothing but warm hospitality. Our server was incredibly friendly and even asked if we had a show to get to so he could expedite our food. So considerate! The prix fixe was really good value - starter, main, desert AND a bottle of wine for $99! The salad was really tasty, I liked the warm walnuts and the figs added a nice contrast of texture and sweetness. Of the other items in the tasting board, I really enjoyed the Kashkaval cheese. We didn't opt for any add ons/fondue dippers with our fondue, so only had bread. While we did feel full at the end, next time I'd go for an add on for more variety. Highly recommend and can't emphasize the warm hospitality and great service enough.

There was a welcoming ambiance to the place. We shared the Rose Cardamom Pistachio Pastry, and I wish I had gotten one of them with fruit salad and labne. The Rose Cardamom Pistachio Pastry was delicious, layered with delicate mixture of rose and cardamom flavor, and sprinkled with plenty of crushed pistachio. It was sweet, lightly flaky, and slightly crunchy. For my entree, I chose the Truffle Fondue with various types of sausage. The Truffle Fondue was served on top a small flame to keep it warm. It was satisfyingly melty, full of true truffle taste, and quite yummy. It came with pieces of white sourdough bread, which were nicely chewy. The sausage also came with purple grapes, as well as a piece of carrot. Sausage was succulent, juicy, and well seasoned. It was a perfect dipper for the fondue. I would have also liked to have potatoes with it, but each additional ingredient were priced a la carte, so would have to pay more. I wasn't really a fan of that set up and think that each fondue should have included more than just bread. Service was solid. Our waiter was personable and helpful. We were well taken care of throughout. Prices were reasonable, though fondue can get a little up there, depending on what you order with it. I would be open to returning to try the Cheeseburger.

I don't think they actually milk the goats or wash the rinds, if that's what you're asking. Nor do they have a company retail shop as far as I know, at least not here. Nevertheless, I have had so much pleasure over the years their cheeses in my local shops and restaurants, now called Mitica (meaning "myth") here in the US, that I want to give them a shout-out here. What prompted this was a small sliver of Campo de Montalban I picked up from the "odds and ends" bin at Whole Foods, that happened to be perfectly paired with a bourbon-barrel aged heirloom cider I also bought there, it was a lot like the Spanish cheese Mancheco but more rounded for me with a little funkiness in addition to the nutty taste. Anyway, it was one of those peak cheese moments. Several other Mitica cheeses are on my go-to list, so all I can say is Thank You!!! FWIW they have started to import other mediterranean products like olive oil, chocolate, and so on, but are mostly known for cheese.
