After sending the top picture of the board (plus a pic of the back with specifics) to your brother, he guaranteed that was the tile I wanted. After finally receiving the tile and sending him the second picture, he MUST have agreed they didn't match because he asked for a picture of the box label and told me he was in contact with your rep. I brought the boxes back immediately. This is when I encountered meeting you. EVEN if I had been wrong about this order, which I wasn't , you DON'T treat a customer like that! NO, your prices weren't cheaper, they were actually a little more, but you did NOT charge shipping. That is why I drove the hour to pick them up from Buckeye. Four hours into it...I wasn't driving another two to prove my point. I spoke with the sales manager from Adex in New Jersey, who covers the ENTIRE Northeast, and he confirmed that you do not have an account with them. So wherever you were ordering the tile from, your board would NOT match the official Adex board I had. Tom should have told me when the order was placed that that was not like your board. So it wouldn't have mattered if I wasted another two hours in the car, because you would have said your board is different from this one. So don't try to tell me that this could have been avoided if I had brought the board in. If you were a half way decent sales person, you would have worked with me. Instead, you charged $120 for TWO BOXES to return the tile when it was shipped to you for free. Plus, of course, 20% restocking. I just reread all of the reviews that your customers wrote. They are spot on! So here's another 1 star. You should learn to speak nicer to your customers...hence, your arrogance.

Then Jamie was quick to offer many ideas. She even allowed us to take home samples and make recommendations to installers who are well qualified and as professional as they are. I would also like to say Carrie one of the owners came to our house and brought samples and took measurements. She was very professional and listened to what my wife and I had to say. They also did not remove all the vents and some areas were not refinished due to that. On top of it they put wood filler on my sidewalk and spilled the clear coat on my driveway. I paid a premium price and did not get premium workmanship…read more I needed a stainless steel chimney liner for my new hot water tank, I preferred stainless for longevity and was willing to pay more. Talked to owner, quoted almost $2K, I approved quote, he started out nice, returned calls, followed through, he even sounded concerned about making sure I was happy until the morning of install when he called and I asked that he tapcon (screw) the top plate to the chimney crown that the manufacture in their manual shows as optional. He stated that this is not the way to mount it, he said silicone alone is better and said he has been doing this for 18 years, finally he agreed grudgingly and hung up on me. The crew showed up, was pleasant, but disappointingly the top of chimney should have been mortared with a crown covering the top plate and the top plate had 1/2" gap on each side of the plate because they hammered out the chimney liner flue instead of cutting it out as we agreed. Also, the company should have pre-measuring before ordering parts to guarantee it fits properly. End result, I requested they mortar the crown and offered to pay more but they refused. They said it was too cold although it was almost 60 degrees in November and night lows was above freezing. Instead I'm left with no crown until next year (see pic). Will hire another contractor to finish the job correctly.
