I just wanted to share one of my experiences with a local handyman in the Shenango Valley. I…read morecurrently do not live in the valley but my parents still do, I'm 28 hours away (in Austin, TX) and have really been struggling to keep the maintenance up on my parents house from so far away. I was referred to Adam Kahl and his company Kahl Remodeling. First off, Adam seems to do just about anything, he can build a garage, put up fences (which I had him do for my parents) to building handicap ramps (which he is also going to do for us), windows and more. Being 28 hours away and entrusting my elderly parents into someone's care was a concern for me, Adam did an incredible job on the fence, I was beyond impressed. He is fast, trustworthy, more than fair in his pricing and goes above and beyond to do the best. I was so impressed with his service I felt the need to write this review; he is the man to go to for construction in Mercer County. I can't say enough about him and I plan on using him from now on for all of the repairs/remodeling on my parents house. Had to share! good help is hard to find!

Once he got here it took him 6 hours to fix our mess because he had to remove and replace deck boards and everything else in sub zero temperatures. When he was all done he stuck by his original quote which was ludacris to me after all his time here. He is very meticulous and neat. You won't find a more honest contractor, believe me we've been taken by a few before. I highly recommend him!

Over my many years of home ownership, I have hired 3 painters. Normally I do all the work myself…read more Of the three that I have hired, only one, Sharp Edge Painting would I hire again. From the initial request for a quote, to receiving the quote and the scheduling of the job was as easy as can be. When someone tells me that they plan to start at a specific time, in today's age, that is somewhat of a guess, not with Sharp Edge Painting. Early is the operative word. Early, professional, detailed oriented and constantly aware of the interior surroundings. I cannot say enough positive things about the professional painting experience we had with Sharp Edge Painting. If I am in need of any additional painting services, I now know who to call for a job well done. I would recommend Sharp Edge Painting to everyone.

We met with several cabinet makers and some home improvement 'specialists(?)' but they all tried to sell us contrasting cabinets instead of matching the new with the old. With more online searching we found SMD Custom Cabinets - and so glad we did! We met with Kevin at his workshop without an appointment and scheduled for him and his wife Kim to come to our house to look at the project at hand. He immediately impressed us with his knowledge and enthusiasm. It when he assured us that he could match the new cabinets - style, color and finish - to the existing built ins we were completely sold! He listened to what we wanted and envisioned for our kitchen and offered helpful suggestions. Our plans changes several times but that just fueled his enthusiasm! The end result is a beautiful kitchen with custom cabinets that we couldn't be happier with! Kevin's attention to detail is only surpassed by the quality of his work which is amazing! Also noteworthy is that he and Kim were both friendly and professional at all times - and truly went above and beyond through out the entire remodel for our satisfaction. A shoutout to their crew as well for a great install. We couldn't be happier with our new cabinets and we highly recommend Kevin / SMD Custom Cabinets!
