I was referred to Adam Kahl and his company Kahl Remodeling. First off, Adam seems to do just about anything, he can build a garage, put up fences (which I had him do for my parents) to building handicap ramps (which he is also going to do for us), windows and more. Being 28 hours away and entrusting my elderly parents into someone's care was a concern for me, Adam did an incredible job on the fence, I was beyond impressed. He is fast, trustworthy, more than fair in his pricing and goes above and beyond to do the best. I was so impressed with his service I felt the need to write this review; he is the man to go to for construction in Mercer County. Steve came out the same day I called about getting my deck and front porch painted and having my sidewalk redone. Both Steve and his various craftsmen, like Ron who did the sidewalk, were easy to work with, showed up as expected and far surpassed my hopes for an amazing looking sidewalk and deck. I contacted Gerald via Yelp and had no knowledge of his reputation. Within 30 minutes, I received…read morea reply. Later that day, we agreed on a time we would meet for a free estimate. I needed 4 rooms and the hallway painted. There was also some dry wall repair needed. Gerald arrived to do the estimate on time. When meeting Gerald for the first time, he looked me in the eye when speaking to me and shook my hand. He also offered to remove his shoes. Gerald is very personable and professional, yet, relaxed. Gerald and I sat in the living room when giving me his quote, which was very specific and completed before he left. The quote came to my device via text and email. I was pleased with the price and paid the deposit right then (electronically). We agreed when the work would begin. One attribute I appreciate about Gerald, is he means what he says and says what he means. Gerald kept me informed during every step of the process. When he says he will arrive at 0800, he arrives at 0800. If the paint store is busy and he will be late, he contacted me. His communication skills are fantastic. Another positive attribute is his willingness to accommodate my particular needs and make adjustments. This happened when I decided to change what moldings would be painted and which moldings would not be painted. Gerald came back after the job was complete, when I messed up some moldings removing carpet from two bedrooms. I was pleased enough with Gerald's work that I hired him to paint the outside of our house. Again, he did what he said he would do. His quality of work was as excellent on the outside painting as the inside painting. Gerald was neat and respectfully of the property both in and out.
