I…read morecurrently do not live in the valley but my parents still do, I'm 28 hours away (in Austin, TX) and have really been struggling to keep the maintenance up on my parents house from so far away. I was referred to Adam Kahl and his company Kahl Remodeling. First off, Adam seems to do just about anything, he can build a garage, put up fences (which I had him do for my parents) to building handicap ramps (which he is also going to do for us), windows and more. Being 28 hours away and entrusting my elderly parents into someone's care was a concern for me, Adam did an incredible job on the fence, I was beyond impressed. He is fast, trustworthy, more than fair in his pricing and goes above and beyond to do the best. I was so impressed with his service I felt the need to write this review; he is the man to go to for construction in Mercer County. I can't say enough about him and I plan on using him from now on for all of the repairs/remodeling on my parents house. Had to share! good help is hard to find!

I posted an ad on the local flea market looking for someone to remove and repair our exterior door…read morethat was stuck shut. Adam responded and gave me a quote. Once he got here it took him 6 hours to fix our mess because he had to remove and replace deck boards and everything else in sub zero temperatures. When he was all done he stuck by his original quote which was ludacris to me after all his time here. He is very meticulous and neat. You won't find a more honest contractor, believe me we've been taken by a few before. I highly recommend him!

A lack of pride in workmanship as evidenced by consistently shoddy cleanup. The general manager became short tempered and rude when a job was not completed satisfactorily and a request was made for a modification. Your money will go much further elsewhere - I recommend avoiding a top heavy service like this - you are better off dealing directly with a craftsman than a manger that then relays everything to hired help. When Dan came to do our free estimate, we quickly noticed he was thee most focused and thorough contractor that came to our house. He went inside, outside, looked in closets, the basement and anywhere else he could to try to figure out how he was going to tie the plumbing lines up to the third floor in the least invasive way possible. Then he quickly drew up in his head the best layout for the bathroom leaving enough space for a walk in closet on the other side. Then he gave us the most thorough estimate that very night, not to mention lower than any other contractor came in at. Throughout the whole job they were very dependable, respectful, trustworthy and hard working. The job finished with a few minor changes we decided together to make the job look high end without going over budget. Dan tried to save us money the entire time, even offering me to paint the room if I wanted to. We wouldn't choose anyone else for any job in our house and we are so happy we found them for the long run n here in Cinci! A+, 5 stars, the best. Thanks Dan & everyone else!

He claimed he was still working on it. After a couple more weeks went by I realized he was never going to provide an estimate so I moved in a different direction. I would not recommend these guys.

We couldn't be happier with the job the crews did at our disaster of a house in Poland.  We're sure…read moreyou sent the best workers for all the jobs:  roof, siding and windows.  Jeff Dobson was the constant calming presence through all the delays from weather and a shortage of siding.  He answered and returned calls and text messages quickly which is not always common practice. The roofing crewdid a great job considering delays of snow and extreme cold and didn't leave trash all over the place, they cleaned up every day they were there.  The window crew was next and boy what a difference:  new windows!  No nasty old moldy sills and caulking.  We figure we saved a bunch of money having Techniques replace the windows. Then the biggest deal of all:  new siding.  We can't say enough about the job done by Rick, Jeff and Scott.  The attention to detail and correct measurements made a spectacular difference  to the house.  The colors are perfect and even better than we expected; it's gorgeous and exactly as we envisioned.  The neighbors are impressed!
