He then replaced that with (difficult to work with ) Cumaru (iron) wood and rebuilt stairs across the entire width of the deck. I had 1 quote that said they could it in 3-4 weeks time. Jerry and his associate Mike did all of this less than a week! Quality , craftsmanship and attention to detail all come to mind with Jerry ! I would definitely give him a 5* star review! Much appreciated

Contracted Doug to complete a partial kitchen remodel including a quartz counter install. Doug tore…read moreout most of the kitchen and did not come back for 3 months. During that time he provided fake updates and excuses. Despite eventually doing a very nice job on a feature wall, he was terminated for numerous reasons. The quartz was significantly damaged during installation (major gouges, black marks, chips and cracks), he did not properly template the counter (slabs were cut way too short and the sink cut out looks like it was done free-hand). The entire counter needs ripped out and replaced. He miscalculated the opening of the frig cabinet, frig doors won't open. Stove won't slide in flush due to mismeasured counter top. Poured grout materials down the kitchen sink and seized the garbage disposal. Installed dimmer switches upside down. Paid him $2,000 for an under the counter drawer microwave which he never purchased and refuses to reimburse. The final straw was coming home in the dark to my front door wide open with lights on -- don't trust him with your keys. This has been a year long nightmare. After agreeing to a fair settlement, Doug has gone silent.

It's such a refreshing blessing to come across someone like Dennis at Zooks. He's thorough,…read moreattentive, careful, and above all else, honest. I had a few contractors take a look at a potential roofing issue, including some who simply provided quotes based on photos without ever looking in person. Dennis, however, not only wanted to assess in person but took the time to get onto the roof and check things out. Drawing on his lifetime expertise in roofing, he quickly identified the issue and offered to fix it on the spot. I'm happy to say everything looks as good as new. I strongly recommend Zooks. His company kind of feels like a "best kept secret" for roofing needs on Yelp. Looking forward to leveraging Dennis' skills for additional projects.
