The usual snacks. Good turon (spring roll-wrapped fried banana with jackfruit).

We were greeted quickly and warmly as soon as we came in. And the same lady who welcomed us in was also our server. Let me tell you she was absolutely incredible. She was personable, helpful, very welcoming and had a great sense of humor as well. She was constantly checking in on us, which is great, especially because this was our first time. You can tell from the pictures we ordered a little bit of food not too much and let me tell you everything actually turned out surprisingly delicious. I do find the Filipino food is a little bit of hit or miss, especially in the states. However, everything was delicious. In fact, we only had a little bit of leftovers and managed to clean the plates of everything else. This place is truly authentic. You can still tell that it's owned by a family, which I think is fantastic. The decor is incredible as well. But most importantly for me, which is not how photographic the places, but rather the quality and the taste of the food. One fun thing is that the café next-door is also owned by the family that owns this restaurant. And so you can order food and desserts from the next-door and they'll bring it over to you at the restaurant. I will do a separate review of the café as well. Another fun thing was that as we were on the way out from dinner, we noticed that they were setting up a traditional kamayan set up on a table nearby for a party of six. We had the privilege of meeting the owner and he helped tell us about their set up their pricing and also that quite frankly you can customize us any way that you like. We will definitely be coming here again, even though it is quite far, but this was well worth the drive.

Went to this joint for the first time tonight for dinner with my partner…read more My son recommended their crispy pata and lumpia Shanghai, so we tried those along with their homemade siomai. My goodness, everything was so good! The crispy pata has an incredibly crispy skin, with soft, tender, and flavorful pork meat inside. We were told by the owner, Ryan, that they slow cook the meat in its own juices for 6 hours prior to deep frying it. The result is nothing short of one of the best interpretations of this favorite Filipino dish. Definitely my favorite! The lumpia is top-notch -- crispy, crunchy, and perfectly seasoned. The siomai is garlicky and delicious as well. All of this for just $32. The price is unbelievable considering the quality of food they are serving. Everything was fresh and served hot from the kitchen, unlike the typical Filipino "turo-turo" style restaurant. They also have combo meals for $12.99 all day. I have to try their lechon belly and crispy kare-kare next time. This place is truly a hidden gem! You have to try it, and you will not be disappointed. I will definitely recommend it to my friends and family. Thanks to the owner, Ryan. I think you have a winner here!

I got kung pao beef and a couple of other things. The "beef" in the kung pao was so fatty and chewy I could literally not eat it. I kept trying, but it was EVERY PIECE in the container. A total loss. I called to let the restaurant know. The woman who took the call assured me my card would be credited the amount of the item. This was outright FRAUD, as my card was never credited for this food I could not eat. She also said the manager would call me back, which also did not happen. Bad enough the food was inedible, but blatantly lying to me was way over the line. The rest of the items were on the bland side, and I'm not sure if I would have come back. But after what happened, I'm avoiding this place like the plague. I cannot afford to literally throw my money in the garbage.

Wow great food for such a great price!!!…read more I was picking up Navy graduation tickets a few blocks away and found them on Yelp. Glad I tried them out. The charge by how many entrees you choose. I got the 3 entree choices for $15, also added the rest of thier lumpia which were $1.25 each. They are only open until they sell out every day. They dont have set hours when of when they close, so if they run out of food you miss you. So get there early. It was only 1230pm and they were already out of several dishes. I got a spicy pork, chicken adobo and thier Wednesday special which was peanut butter pork. All of them were tender and flavorful. The inside was sorta small and had about 6 or 7 tables. I saw a lot of people picking up food and getting it to go. Several people in line asked if they had specific dishes like the bbq, which they ran out of. So seems like they have quite a bit of regulars. The guys working were super nice and since it was my first time there I asked what they recommend and they didn't disappoint. If you like this type of food, like I do, then I would highly recommend this place.

The name may suggest this is a desserts only type of…read moreplace, but they have a small dining area in the back where they serve traditional home-cooked Filipino lunch & dinner items. Don't expect anything fancy, just simply staples for a quick bite to eat. The bakery items I've tried so far have all been good. I've had the biko (a thick, dense rice pudding), swiss roll cakes (they have a variety of flavors to choose from, and many have fresh coconut slivers in the cream), ube bread (a sweetbread swirled with sweet purple potato yam), sapin (a tri-colored glutinous coconut gelatin - think of this as a dense sort of jello, but with natural flavors), and hopia with a sweet mung bean filling (this is similar to the Chinese mooncake with a super dense center covered in a buttery laminated pastry). They also sell an assortment of plain donuts and empanadas / meat-filled "baos" in the front. Everything was very well made and fairly priced. Individual desserts were $2-4 and the larger bread loafs and swiss rolls meant to be shared are $5-6. Nothing fancy, but solid homecooked goods that you can afford to eat every day. Many people come here to grab a bunch of sweets for family and friends get togethers. If you need an "Asian style" birthday cake, they have ready made cakes and can do special orders. These are as good as the ones served in fancier patisseries in Manhattan for a fraction of the cost - think Paris Baguette or Tous Les Jours sans decorations. The cake is super light and fluffy and the "icing" is a smooth whipped cream. If you don't like traditional birthday cakes or sugary icings, give this a try at your next special occasion!

Came on a Thursday after lunch and it wasn't too busy. Ordered the Tocilog - which is sweet pork with a side of garlic fried rice, and an egg cooked any way you like. Also came with a side of noodles (pancit). Since I was here, decided to order some calamansi wings to go. And of course an ube milk tea. I really enjoyed my meal. The Tocino was a little different from what I'm used to. I'm used to a slab of pork pan fried with the fat fried to a slight crunch lol. I'm also used to tocino being red in color. I guess the tocino here is a little more leaner and no artificial colors - which works for me as I'm kinda allergic to red dye. But it tasted good, very flavorful. Loved the garlic rice as well. Pancit noodles were okay - could have used a little more seasoning but I could dig it Calamansi wings were low key fire. The crisp of the wings were perfection and the meat was not tough - still nice and juicy. I would get these again. They did have other flavors available that I need to come and try as well such as adobo and salt & pepper. Servers were nice and food came out pretty fast.
