In all honesty, I only ever come in here to buy stamps, but I've found that the people behind the…read morecounter are invariably friendly and helpful, and the lines have never been very long (at least that's been my experience so far). The parking situation is the only down side, and can be confusing if you're not from the area. You have to pull into the shopping center (or strip mall; I'm not sure which it would "technically" qualify as), travel 1-way past the Dunkin Donuts (used to be a Boston Market) and a few other stores, and then pull into whatever available space you can find. Pulling in isn't so much the problem as backing out, as the cars that are coming in tend to do so at a high rate of speed. Then again, I've become a timid driver in my old age. Sometimes I'll park on the less crowded side of the (small) shopping center in order to avoid that potential hazardous pitfall. Pulling back out onto Springfield Ave. can be a pain in the neck too. You can only pull out in one direction, which is not the direction that takes me home. A relatively minor annoyance, though, when I consider how quickly and painlessly I'm able to buy my postage stamps. And, on a side note, whatever happened to the Wanted posters that used to hang from post office walls? I never recognized any of the thugs, desperadoes, terrorists, bank robbers or felonious maniacs pictured on them, but I always derived a certain morbid entertainment value from perusing them. I guess "America's Most Wanted" on TV made them obsolete? Inquiring minds want to know... If I happen to be in the area, this is the post office I prefer to patronize. I can't speak for their mail delivery, or how adeptly they handle incoming packages, or how well they process money orders, etc. But if you're interested only in buying stamps, this place is very highly recommended.

Last year, when my Dell laptop died (video card failure), the Geek Squad at Best Buy wanted over…read more$300 and THREE WEEKS to send it off to Kansas City to fix it (not to mention a LONG wait in line just to speak to someone). I don t know about you, but I can t be without my system for three weeks, so I purchased a new (Toshiba) laptop while I was there. ONE YEAR LATER, just after the warranty expired, the cooling system died. Brought it back to Best Buy, again they wanted me to leave it with them for several weeks. Instead, I called around a couple of local places. Christian at Tech CS returned my call the same day so I brought it to him. I am SO GLAD I did! Christian diagnosed it and ordered the part the same day. While it took a few days for the part to arrive, he installed it immediately and went the extra mile to make sure it was working properly long-term. The price was very reasonable!! So I decided to bring my Dell to him too to see if he could get it up and running. I hadn t used it since buying the new one and it had developed an additional, ticking noise upon starting and wouldn t boot up at all He fixed that one too!!! Not only did he do it within a few days (I didn t need it back right away) but he found that by swapping the memory card around it resolved the issue and I didn t need an expensive repair. Competence AND honesty AND responsiveness - you can t beat that combination! He also guarantees his work for a full year. I am a VERY, VERY happy customer and will bring all of my family s computer repair needs to Christian from this point on. No more Best Buy for me!!!!

Original estimate November 26, 6,120-8,500 dollars (Sal: "and it might be less"). Each time he came to our old house he stayed a short time and asked for more money. By the time of our move in December, he had charged us 16,365 dollars. Took 4 months to get some of our items including my husband's hard drive. Many items were missing, damaged or destroyed (example: stained glass smashed, a vintage sewing basket in pieces, wheel missing from an expensive sewing cabinet). I have many items I will need to replace or pay to get fixed. Many items were left in our New Jersey house and we had no way to get them to South Carolina, including some items that belonged to my deceased mother-in-law. Poor communication-- Sal would say that he was coming at 10:00 and not come until 3:00. I don't mind if you are coming later, just communicate better. My advice: Caring transitions might be alright if you are not moving long distance. Then, if he leaves your things in your old house, you can go back to your old house and move the rest of your items yourself.
