pork belly taco, duck taco, shrimp taco, pineapple pisco punch cocktail
    Lydia N.

Bar taco is great, I come here occasionally for small bites and drinks! I had the duck, shrimp, and pork taco, all of which I highly recommend, especially the duck. I also had the pineapple punch cocktail, which was a yummy pineapple lemonade flavor. Overall, the food is good, service is excellent, and the interior is clean and has various types of seating. My only critique is that the taco sizes are quite small, I ordered 3 initially and ended up ordering one more. I had churros for dessert, which was good but the chocolate sauce it came with was more of a bitter dark chocolate flavor than sweet milk chocolate. I would come back again if I wanted some small bites!

My friends and I wanted a quick bite over a round of drinks. We were happy to see there were plenty of indoor and outdoor seats available on a Friday but were disappointed when the happy hour was only offered at the bar. We got their Trio large tray, Libelula flight, red sangria, cazuela. We found all of our drinks to be underwhelming and even the presentation was subpar particularly for the sangria which is served in a regular water glass. The trio dish was pretty solid and we were able to get another order of chips to finish it off. The guacamole was creamy, the verde was refreshing, but the roja sauce was our favorite. Overall, we had an okay experience. The ambiance is cute and European inspired but the service was incredibly slow. Drinks were okay but we did enjoy the chips. Unsure if it's worth giving this place another shot in the future.

I'm at my friends for dinner at this location. Will try later found out was the wrong location but they chose to meet me there after all. First of all parking. You have to pay for parking. The garage that adjacent to the building charges $11 on a Monday night for parking. When asked the workers about the situation - no one knows anything. Including the manager who told me he just started. It's not their job to know but it's kind of a nice Customer Service touch. That was disappointing. Upon sitting at the bar, waiting for friends to arrive. I was greeted by one of the bar tenders. I asked him about the rainy day special. That is when it rains you get a margarita for $8. Nice touch! I told him I was waiting for friends and that if you could wait 10 minutes and then create my drink He memory was very short. He was busy chatting up two ladies that came in shortly after our conversation about something they had in common. 20 minutes later I had to remind him "has it been 10 minutes". that's when he remembered about our deal. Of course my drink was made, and my friends arrived after 1 sip. We sat at a great table. Our server was lovely. However, every time I one friend tried to order a beverage, the server had to come back on three different occasions to say "we are out of it." Lastly , he selected a spindrift beverage that she brought the table. Upon tasting he realized it was " the spiked version". She did not notice that the prior drink selections were nonalcoholic. After all the back and forth... he kept it and did not drink it. I love BarTaco. I am a frequent flyer in Buckhead. At least I used to be. Now I live on this side of town. I'm disappointed that I'll never come back to this location. It was like the right hand doesn't know what the left is doing. However, the special taco was delicious!

Honestly the first time I tasted bar taco I wasn't the biggest fan,and I am happy to announce I was wrong. After going to many restaurants in ATL, I have come to appreciate the simplicity of Bar taco. The service is great and efficient. The ambiance I always a vibe and fun. The food is absolutely delicious, I crave it every other week and the drinks are refreshing yet just right. The price is amazing and honestly it's a win in my books everytime. Food comes out fairly quickly and the bar is always fun to sit at. I have been with friends and solo and never had a bad experience.

One star solely because of the food - interior is beautiful and staff are very friendly though! The guac and chips were so salty, and the baja fish taco was even saltier. Genuinely felt like i was eating salt on salt and none of the toppings helped even out the taste. Fish itself is pretty small and batter is not very crispy. The pork belly taco was mid even though the pork was tender. It just wasn't well seasoned and the coleslaw/radish toppings flavor overpowered the pork. Beef taco was also just okayish. Drinks tasted fine but felt watered down. Overall would not go back.

Everything we tried was on point. Fresh and flavorful. I also felt that the portion sizes were apt. Only item that was disappointing was churros which were not done in the inside. Best thing about the management was that they took my feedback constructively and offered to take it off the bill and a couple of free tacos on the next visit. How often does that happen these days!!! Food - 4/5 Service - 4/5 Ambience - 4/5

I stumbled upon this place two nights ago after my reservation for another restaurant was canceled and I'm so glad that happened because I had the best time at Bartaco. upon entry they were so welcoming with the service and it was only like a 10 minute wait to get seated but they allow us to sit outside and the vibes were really nice and when we finally did get seated our waitress was top-tier. They made sure that we were good at all times and consistently checked in on me and the person I came with plus the food was amazing I loved the kimchi and I topped it off at the end of the night with some vanilla gelato We had such a good time that we double tipped that's how great it was I will definitely be coming back.

Went for a post dinner second bite (lol) and really enjoyed all the tacos I got at this spot. I was out with my friend visiting town so he had wanted to check this spot out and neither of us were disappointed. Pricing wise, I would've liked them to be a bit larger, but flavor-wise I cannot complain. All the tacos range between three and five dollars and we probably tried over half of the ones on the menu and each of them was a winner! We also ordered the ginger mint tea carafe for the table and we really enjoyed drinking that one so if you're in a mood for nothing alcoholic, that's a winner as well. Probably one of the most interesting elements of the dining experience was how we could order everything through their website/epic experience, including payment so I really enjoyed the seamlessness of that experience and how it didn't seem to cause delays were getting food delivered to the table. Definitely a place I would check out again just to eat more of those delicious tacos as a splurge.

Bar Taco is *CHEFS KISS* This restaurant has a unique twist of certain dishes that you will love! They are known for their different tacos and sides! all of which is really good and you can't go wrong with anything that's on the menu. The food is very flavorful and fresh and so are the drinks. They squeeze fresh fruit for your cocktails and mocktails, which is a huge plus! I definitely recommend getting guac and chips, the plantains, and truly any choice of your tacos you can't go wrong with. This restaurant has such a great ambience as it is very refreshing and aesthetic. I love that the restaurant is very open as there are plenty of seats outside and when you sit inside, they have large doors that they will open up when the weather is nice. When you go to the restaurant, you scan a QR code and you place your order and pay for your tab. However, you will, of course still have a server which in my opinion will likely be someone who is great customer care. Service is always! I never have to wait a long time for my food as it typically comes out in a reasonable timeframe and like I said earlier always comes out fresh. The only challenging thing is parking. There is a parking deck that is neighboring the restaurant, however, they do not validate your parking. It is about $8 for two hours and will increase the longer you're there. There is of course street parking, but it is always very limited/taken. This is a very popular area as there are a number of restaurants and other businesses that people visit quite often. But don't let the parking situation deter you because it is still so worth it!

My friend and I frequent this restaurant almost every Saturday after we walked on the Belt Line. It's our standing appointment to get some sunshine, brisk walk, and a bite to eat. We especially enjoy the Taco Teaser, and our respective entrees. The two gentlemen hosts are always in great temperament. Tall gent that wears the palm tree button-up shirts is always friendly & upbeat. He's pleasant to guests under pressure. The other guy with the strawberry blonde hair is always professional and willing to assist. They both are welcoming and inviting. The female host with long dark hair is curt and off-putting. When a large amount of patrons come to patronize Bartaco she becomes frazzled, irritated, and brusque. The wait staff have all been attentive and amazing; however, that hostess (perhaps the manager) with the long dark hair has some peculiar behavior. Case in point: 1) People that came in after us were seated. Not only did they get preferential seating. They were seated in the front of the establishment. 2) Oddly, only OTHER melanated people were sitting in the back right corner of the restaurant. (DO you think this is a mere coincidence? I'll let you decide) 3) OTHER melanated patrons waited 15- 20 minutes longer than the others that walked in after us. 4) OTHER pigmemted patrons were also advised to sit at the bar. Clearly, because she was giving our seats to people who walked up after us. I even checked online for reservations to be sure. The point is she targets certain populations of people. She needs to be trained in being culturally inclusive and responsive to the evolving demographics of the constituents she is servicing. She's going to give an excuse about it being a shift change, but the pictures don't lie. They paint a vivid depiction of what happens under her leadership. The hostess exhibits biased behavior.

Street Corn - 5/10: The corn is quite sweet, but it packs a bit of a spicy punch. I wish it had been cooked a little longer. Small Guacamole and Chips - 7/10: The chips were a touch too salty, but the guacamole was excellent. Bartaco Margarita - 6/10: Nice and strong, definitely packs a punch. All tacos come on a corn shell, and they're on the smaller side, so feel free to sample as many as you'd like! My top picks are the Baja Fish and Pork Belly tacos.

Delicious food! I have the Brussels taco and ahi tuna with crispy rice. Service was fine and the prices were really good! I just wish the fire place was on and running around lunch time! The drinks were great as well (and pretty strong!)

Friday Urban Picnics is run by the Atlanta Street Food Coalition, and held every last Friday of the month from March to October, 11-2pm. Location is the back of Sweet Auburn Curb Market. At today's picnic, I arrived around 11:45 and lucked out with finding a parking spot. Lines were very short too - but that all changed after 12. Good Food Truck and Yumbii were probably the most popular. Westside Creamery, The Pop Shop (or maybe it was The Pop Stop), and Black Tie BBQ were there, too. I think almost all items were under $10. Today I had Good Food's $5 Poodle which was to die for: French Toast hot dog bun, beef dog, apple maple slaw, ... and then they strongly encourage you to add maple syrup and spicy mustard. Whoa that was really yummy - messy to eat though and I had sticky fingers afterwards from the maple syrup but no complaints from me :) Next time I'm trying one of their savory cones filled w/ all kinds of goodies! The Indian rice crispy treat sounded intriguing, too (curry, coconut, and candied fennel seeds)! For dessert I had a $3 generous scoop of Westside Creamery's bourbon & bacon ice cream. Just a hint of bourbon flavor and surprisingly thick pieces of bacon throughout - honestly I was expecting bacon-infused flavor but my bad for expecting anything else but the real thing!! They had some great flavors to choose but I went with bourbon & bacon since the Westside guy said it was his favorite. I thought she was going to go to this other place in mind but I stead she chose Breeze Confectionery. I will admit I never heard of the place but when she came home with three humongous slices of Key Lime Cake I had to looks them up in the net. The bakery has a French and African background. You can read more about them know their website. The desserts in the case make you want to swoon. What attracts me is all the colors. They have an extensive variety of cakes, pastries, croissants and even macarons. Oh what a joy to know that this establishment is located close enough to home and far enough all at the same time. The Key Lime Cake is a huge portion. It is 4 layers of goodness. As soon as I opened the container the smell came flowling out. You know it's good if the cake smells good. Oh my!!! I had to tirl it around to get a good look at it. It's a beautiful cake. The topping is a crunchy sugar, butter concoction. Made similar to strawberry crunch cake. The star of this cake is the fact that it's is extremely moist. MOIST!!!!! I tell you there is not I got dry about this cake. I could only eat the bottom layer but please believe I will nibble on this cake day by day until it is gone. Bravo to the owners I will spread the word of Facebook and Google. I hope you look at reviews because they do matter. My fellow Yelpers and Google folks make your way down to the heart of Atlanta, Municipal Market aka The Curbarket and have your self a treat. I do not believe you will be disappointed.
