Mr. Barsegian was the general contractor for our master bathroom remodel. He and his team went above and beyond all expectations we had for this job. They took great care to minimize any potential damage by covering all walking paths, and all exposed surfaces subject to drywall dust settling. They were very good and cleaning up each day at end of work and minimizing disruption as much as possible. The work done was top-notch, including electrical, plumbing tile and drywall. Mr. B. made sure we knew exactly what was happening each day, communicated very well and went the extra mile to insure we were satisfied, even when the materials specified by a third party were not acceptable. He took care of it all. read more

Very professional and honest. On time and very reasonably priced. I thought I needed my oak floors refinished. But he was honest and said they were still in good condition and only needed buffing out and a new coat . Highly recommend read more

Repeat customer ... our wood flooring was installed 6 years ago by Barsegian Floor Covering including ~900 sq. ft. over 4 rooms. Then we were extremely pleased with the communications, and esp. the installation team as we requested experienced installers and, the final product. Fast forward, a transition strip (between tile and wood floor) needed replacement and Oganes showed up. Bingo, bango the old strip was out, new one installed and glued/secured. Then the icing on the cake, when we inquired about the cost he stated it was free. Hey I will take that anytime ;-) In summary, excellent scheduling services, esp. on-site support and customer satisfaction! read more

We had this company install some pricey engineering hardwood for our home. The work was done in a timely manner, but very rushed to minimize their labor cost, no subfloor preparations before install, and upon picking up our material, he called me to inform me he'll be charging for delivery despite our verbal agreement before. Details below: Barsegian floors matched another installers price quote so we decided to go with them, as he came recommended by our hardwood material vendor. Highlights: He knows his trade, he's timely. They started everything on time including material pickup from the vendor, and start of the work. He even managed to move some other installations in order to do ours sooner. Low-lights: 1- Promises: First thing on pick-up of the material, he calls me to inform me material is loaded in his truck and he's coming to drop off, AND that he will charge us a delivery fee! We had a verbal agreement that delivery was included but unfortunately I forgot to include that in the contract. He told us that we have to pay otherwise he'll empty our hardwood in the vendor's parking lot. At that point, we didn't have any leverage for refusal. 2- Creaking and unevenness: Our sub-floors were rather old. At the sign of contract, we had asked that he fixes and prepares the sub-floors before the new floor installation. But it didn't happen. There were areas that sub-floor had bumps and he had installed the new flooring over those areas too. We had little heaps on our floor in multiple places and new floor was creaking all over the house. The conditions was completely unacceptable. After multiple phone calls and complaints and arguments, he came back to rip out the new flooring and straightened the worst areas. Of course we ended up paying for the hardwood material in those areas 2 times and incurred more cost. We still have the unevenness on our floors and some major creaking on the brand new floors :( 3- Baseboards: He didn't want to take on painting the baseboard, only the installation. We accepted but after hiring painters to finish the baseboards, the painter told us that nails were too prominent and the installer has used the wrong material to fill the nail holes. We had to spent a lot more money on painters to undo the caulking he'd done and do it again right. In our experience, he knew his trade but failed to do what was needed to deliver a quality job. Trying too much to cut his cost and make profit. I also didn't appreciate his tone of voice and behaviour when we were in disagreement. read more

Oganes Barsegian's teams completed 3 projects for me over a 12 day period. His pricing was right on with my budgets, communication and response times were excellent and he and his team of workers were a delight to have in my home. Other folks who claimed to refinish engineered wood floors - showed up only to try and up sell me new flooring. I am extremely happy with the 3 finished projects and will try and upload some photos along with this review. The projects were: 1. repairing and refinishing water damaged engineered hardwoods 2. installing new engineered wood on our concrete slab/family room 3. as Oganes also carries a General Contractor license - his team was also able to removed most of a brick fireplace wall and custom build cabinates surrounding the fireplace. read more

Had my house installed with bamboo flooring by Barsegian Floor Covering. A true professionals, they explained to us all the benefits and negatives of having bamboo. Our subfloors were uneven, so they took care of that, then installed the floors and baseboards. The job was done on-time and the result was amazing: our floors look gorgeous and all guests who come to visit compliment how great it looks. Recommended this company to our friends who had their floors installed and they were also very happy. read more

This probably is going to be my worst review till date. It's a situation of trying to help someone cross the road and disowning them in the middle. Oganes took measurements, gave us the quote and made us order the material. I went for expensive ones just to align to his timeline, confirmed my move-in date and when we had to pick up the material and start the work, he was untraceable and finally called in to say he can't do the work. Made my life hell for few days and finally managed to get someone to do the job. He makes promises and doesn't deliver. I strongly recommend passing the chance to work with this company/person. read more

We had the entire downstairs red oak floor refinished and kitchen cabinets refaced. Oganes and Barsegian Flooring workers did an amazing professional job - start to finish. Every step of the way we were provided with clear options, examples of what we could do, and timelines for all work. We absolutely give the highest recommendation for this service! read more

We had Barsegian out for a full sanding and recoating of our hardwood floors which covered the main level of our house, the stairs leading up to it from the entry and the stairs/landing leading up to the master bedroom. EVERYONE on the team showed up on time, were very courteous and even maintained smiles on their faces during our interactions. Taking an eagle eye to the finished work, it was very good. With the finishing touches they even made some of the less than perfect work (done during the initial installation of the stairs years ago) look good. I have also been reassured more than once that if I need anything or spot anything that I think needs more attention to simply give them a call. The 5 year warranty is also transferable in case I sell the house. All in all I am very pleased with all facets of this interaction and so I feel it is worth the time it took me here to write this review. Cheers read more

I was referred to Barsegian Floor Covering (hereafter BFC) by All Seasons Roofing. Last year my studio sustained significant water damage which ultimately required my carpet being replaced. BSF hits all the marks in my book. Mr. Oganes, owner of BFC, is the consummate business man. Punctual, well dressed and with a demeanor that makes you feel comfortable. He offers quality products and his rates are reasonable/competitive. The installation took nearly all day under less than ideal circumstances. I live on the top floor of a condo. When I first moved to Shelter Creek the movers told me this is a difficult move. His employees work hard while at the same time respecting the owner. A big plus is that they clean up. Barsegian Floor Covering is my go to business for flooring. Give them a try. You won't be disappointed. read more

This is the second time we've hired Barsegian Floor. Last time, they put in flooring in several rooms and moulding in our living room. We had them come back to put in more moulding. All of the work they did looks wonderful. Oganes, the owner, is always punctual and reliable. He's a very nice person, as are the other employees we've met. read more

We had our hardwood floors of our home refinished just now. We are very satisfied with the quality and timeliness of the work. The customer service is excellent - very responsive and caring about our wishes. Oganas came to our home at the appointed time, listened to our needs, shared the options and his knowledge about them. We chose our stain and finish. The work was started at the stated time and completed at the stated time. The price was reasonable for the quality of work done. The floors look gorgeous. I will use this firm again for my flooring needs. read more

We've had our hardwood for about 16 years and haven't had them refinished once because all we experienced in the past and in listening to our friends were nightmarish stories. It was with no little amount of concern that we realized the floors needed to be completely refinished or look like poop forever. Our research led us to Barsegian floors, and Oganes Barsegian. We had other quotes and, with my experience as a banker, a contractor, and a lawyer, I knew they all had some amount of "squirrel factor." Not so with Barsegian. He came out, measured honestly, discussed what needed to be done (full grind to raw wood, fix flaws, and refinish), and gave us a price. He said he could be done in three days and we thought it would be just fine to understand that it might take 8. He did it in 3. He said his system would reduce dust, and it left almost none. He said he would visqueen and tape off the rest of the house, and he taped everything. I laughed because I had 3 Woot screaming monkeys on my window sill and they put plastic over them too. We've waited about four weeks now to be sure, and the floors are beautiful. We also had them put in new baseboard and they did so flawlessly; painted and caulked seamlessly. My wife is tough. My wife is happy. The new flush oak floor register is beautiful and everything is exactly what we hoped for. Price was reasonable and there was no nonsense or brain damage involved in the process. Barsegian's crew was dressed in uniform shirts, clean, polite, and efficient. It really doesn't get any getter than this. Barsegian turned our fear into joy. I am Andy Phillips, and anyone who knows me knows that my expectations are high. If you know me and you want to get your floors done, give me a call and stop on by to see what it looks like when it's done right. read more

Mr. Barsegian fixed our laminate floor that had buckled in the middle of our entrance (poor installation by another contractor that needed to be fixed). He was on time, professional and did a great job. Great workmanship. Mr. Barsegian cleaned the dust and debris after he completed the work. He exceeded our expectations in getting our floor repaired. I appreciate and respect businesses in the service industry that put their heart into the work that they do and they stand behind that which they provide. Mr. Oganes is definetely a consummate professional and his business, in my opinion, is the best in our area because of his leadership. As the General Manager for Alexander's Steakhouse in Cupertino, I understand the importance of having a strong reputation. Word of mouth is the best marketing tool to instill confidence with an unfamiliar product or service. Barsegian Floor Coverings did an outstanding job on our bar area and on one of our private rooms. If you want to see fine workmanship, stop by Alexander's and see for yourself. We recommend Barsegian Floor Covering with no hesitation! read more

We recently got our hard-floors re-sanded and got new engineered hardwood laid in one of the rooms by Barsegian Floor Covering. I must say that I am pretty impressed with the quality of the work. I stumbled upon their contact while browsing the web and boy am I glad now that I found them! When I rang them up Mr.Oganes answered the call, fixed up an appointment the very next day and gave me a quote after inspecting the house. The quote given by him was very competitive when compared to the usual suspects (HomeDepot and Lowes) and plus there is something about Mr.Oganes that makes you believe that he would do a good job. We signed of the contract and agreed upon a date. I must say that he couldn't start on the day promised as he got delayed with other jobs but luckily we had some buffer left before our move-in date. But once he started the job he finished the work within the timeframe he had promised and I was mighty impressed with the finished product. I am super happy with their work and I would definitely recommend them. read more
