I have tried just about all the meats. Everything is great. My family number one item is the veal cutlets.

The saying "you get what you pay for" is representative of Barrington Butchery. The cuts of meat are superior to every other place I've been to. My wife and I have been buying from Barrington Butchery since (literally) day one of business, and we've been evangelists for the best porkchops on the planet sold at BB. I call 'em "magic porkchops" because they're moisture-injected, and it matters not one bit if you get bone-in or boneless, these pork chops are without rival. Some salt, some pepper (and for me, some Tony Chachere's Cajun seasoning), put 'em on the grill on low heat -- internal temp is 145º - 150º, put it on a plate, and then let it rest for a good 5 minutes. I've had tears a joy rolling down my cheeks from these pork chops. There've been times when one week's chops are better than the previous week's but they still always, always, always beat every other chop I've ever had from any other source, hands down. Don't get me wrong, I've had all sorts of other wonderful things from BB, including the seasonal Piedmontese, lovely Filet Mignon, Tomahawk, Flank, and their homemade sausage. Oh lord if you haven't tried this butchery it's a must! Everything is hand cut. I recommend the pork chops . Melt in your mouth tender. It has a lot of specialty items to add to your planned dinner meals. There very helpful and have a nice sense of humor while your trying to decide what to choose! I just enjoyed a 2" thick out-of-this-world delicious pork chop with Bone Suckin' Sauce Seasoning & Rub! Wow, so good!!! The rub was an in-store recommendation and it was a home run! This butchery doesn't disappoint ... it's family owned and operated, which is an important distinction for me. Ambiance was quaint, got some hamburgers with i grill that afternoon, very good juicy,tender,bigger then the supermarket size i was full with1 burger, was a little expensive for everyday meat but would continue to go back for special occasions, it was worth checking it out. Great spot! I have gone to the last place this space and wasn't overly impressed, but today I didn't feel like driving to Whole Foods and the weather was way too nice not to grill! I entered and two guys that worked there couldn't have been more friendly. I was asked what I was looking for and when I said "steak" my new friend immediately pulled two trays from the cooler so I could inspect the meat closer.....nice move! When I got home I cooked the filet for the wife and myself as I usually do. I will say that this meat was as good, if not better than, Whole Foods and the price was better! I plan to come here many more times! read more

Been here once. Picked up ribeyes for my birthday dinner and they were absolutely amazing quality. Awesome shop; will definitely return.

This is the only place I will buy pork chops. They are more costly but even Whole Foods can't match the quality.

Craving a great piece of meat? Special occasion? I went in today and in the deli case I saw a delicious looking array of everything from chicken, sausage, steaks and Wagyu ribeyes. Yes, I had to try. Grilling suggestions were perfect and the steaks phenomenal. For a couple bucks more a pound the quality was excellent and good to know the source of the meats. read more

This fairly new butcher is a great addition to the area. As I see it, their competition is shaw's which is garbage, and whole foods which is about 25 minutes away. The prices are fair and the quality is excellent. I'll be back. read more

sorry to do this too you as you were very friendly and im sure your steaks are great. they should be as they are supper expensive. i got 2 lb sweeet sausage it was almost un edable and it was $8 lb.threw over half away.im sure you want too serve quality stuff. as an owner you should try this and make a change i pay $7 lb for sausage italian kitchen in brockton ma it out of this world good read more

I live in Florida and wanted to do something special for my parents that live in Barrington. I called and spoke with a couple of people, all of whom were very accommodating, and ultimately ended up speaking with Camilla, the owner. She went out of her way to help me put something together for my parents - a nice little gift basket with a couple of cuts various types of meat - rib-eye, pork chops, some sausage, and more. And she was kind enough to offer to wrap it up in a gift basket to make it look nice, and then arranged to deliver it personally (even though I don't think they normally offer delivery). Wow. Thank you. What a fantastic little company. THIS is why you shop local! I can't thank them enough for helping me make my parents Christmas gift extra special. I usually go to my local grocery store butcher for my filet, and it is delicious! However, I came across this gem today and decided to purchase filets from here! Let me tell you, not only were they the most delicious pieces of meat that I have ever had, seriously, no knife needed, The wonderful woman that waited on me and the butcher, could not have been any friendlier, They both completely went out of their way to make sure I got exactly what I wanted to! And I do have to say, there is a huge difference between the filet that I bought today, and the ones I usually buy! Even though they were a little more pricey, There is definitely a reason why, you pay for what you get 100%!! I will be going back for ALL of my meats!!! Thank you read more

Great location in downtown Barrington to get all top qualities meat! First time I went in for hamburger meat like I had as a kid. And it was delicious! We then bought prime rib for the grill and the real surprise was the amazingly delicious 1 1/4 inch pork chops! They are so tender, 5 minutes a side on the grill and you have a wonderful meal. Staff is really friendly and helpful about how to best cook the meat. They also carry cage-free chicken raised in RI and sausage made right here too! read more

Went in yesterday looking for thick cut bacon. I couldn't be more impressed with this store. They personally take the time to share their knowledge and understand exactly what you are looking for. I had a pretty specific request and needed a bit more then the avg person buys, and they were able to give me the exact cut I wanted. Great shop! Great Service. Absolutely would recommend buying from them as a small business owner vs a major retailer. Better quality and Service and way more focused on you. read more
