Barrigas is a well know restaurant along the El Paso/Juarez border land. If you are looking for a nice local steakhouse restaurant with a bar, then look no further and grab some of this genuine grade-A USDA beef!
The Arracherra is the main dish that you simply cannot miss when you visit Barrigas. It's succulent, perfectly seasoned y muy delicioso! I go for the Norteño plate, because after all you are in the north of Mexico when you dine at this fine establishment. The plate comes with nopales (seasoned cooked cactus pieces), a baked potato, side of tomato laden guacamole, and a cebollitas (onion stems) over about half an oz or around 14g slab of arracherra steak!
Also, if the complimentary chips and salsa is not enough, then try one of the appetizers pictured in my review. Most of them are various types of prepared cheeses and can be shared easily among a table of two or more. For a table of eight we shared three different types and had leftovers. I highly recommend the Carioca cheese! It is so uniquely prepared and something you just can't have one bite of. That's probably why I left Barrigas with a panza like in their Barrigas logo...Buen Provecho! read more
