We decided to go eat there for breakfast and it did not disappoint. When we first arrived we were promptly greeted by the hostess and she sat us down and asked for my name and wrote it on the menu. It was a nice gesture. We had a waiter named Memo and he was delightful. For the food we ordered chilaquiles rojos and my husband had the mole chilaquiles. We also ordered a danish and a pan dulce and it did not disappoint. We had cafe de olla for our drink and we appreciated that we got a refill. It was so delicious and creamy. Overall we had amazing service and I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who is coming to Juarez either for vacation or for consulate purposes. It was a gourmet restaurant so we experienced a high-end take on the local cuisine. As soon as we arrived we were given mole bread and tortilla chips. What was really cool though is that the waiter came over and prepared the salsa for the chips right before our eyes using a mortar and pestle. They can adjust the spice to your liking and we got a variety of salsas because we were a group. I found that the spicy ones weren't so spicy at all though I do have a reasonable spice tolerance. From there I ordered an avocado soup served in a bread bowl with cheese melted on top. It was rich, creamy and very hearty. That was followed by a hangar steak which was cooked to perfection. I couldn't believe how tender it was and it was bursting with flavour. The side of chilaquiles was also super tasty. You can't go to Mexico and not finish off your meal with a tequila. Here they have a wide variety of them available for your liking. In my opinion the best way to drink it is "bandera Mexicana" style where you are given lime and pomegranate juice to drink with your tequila. We truly saved the best for last when we came here because out of all the restaurants I tried in Juarez this one was my favourite. It is an excellent option to discover the local cuisine.

We came here on 2 different evenings for a nightcap before heading to our nearby hotel. While I didn't try the food, my husband did and said that, while everything he had was good, it wasn't truly authentic Mexican and he likened it to Tex-Mex (not a bad thing, just an observation). The staff were friendly and accommodating, even allowing us to take our remaining wine and a set of their glasses to our hotel with us as we'd ordered a bottle here but were unable to finish it before closing time. We appreciated the gesture and were sure to return the glasses to them the following day. The one oddity here was the manager lady: Whenever we passed by she always seemed to be working, often sitting at the bar while doing paperwork and she tended to watch everyone, both patrons and staff alike, like a hawk - which was somewhat off-putting. Barrigas does have a few large TVs, but they always seemed to be showing music videos, concerts and similar content. I never saw them offer any sporting events or matches like a few other area restaurants and bars often did.
