The huevos rancheros were absolutely incredible -- hands down some of the best flavor I've ever had. The steak with huevos, rice, and beans was extremely delicious, perfectly seasoned, and cooked just right. Everything tasted authentic, homemade, and full of real Mexican flavor. You can tell they care about quality and tradition. If you're looking for true, authentic Mexican food made fresh with amazing flavor, this is the place. Highly recommend -- I will definitely be coming back!

Walk up, door is wide open, only outdoor table with shade is occupied by one guy on his phone. Walk in, say hello and the cook comes out. He turns on the air, but it's not AC. Fortunately, it's not that hot. We order two taco plates which come with four street tacos, beans and rice. The menu board has no prices. We each grab a softdrink from the cooler. Food comes out and dig in the chicken and steak tacos both have good flavor, beans and rice are okay. We finish and ask for the total and he tells me $28 which for what we got seemed high. It was four street tacos so it's basically two regular tacos. I double check and he confirms it's $28. I feel like we got hit with a gringo tax. YMMV.

Comida Mexicana bien buena e auténtica. Mirna, la jefa es encantadora igual que las camareras. Comeré en este restaurante la próxima vez que pase por Socorro.

The staff were a bit slow and not very attentive to our table of 6 but by looking at the place, it doesn't seem suitable to manage large crowds or a particularly busy lunch meal. The place is located within an adobe building and you can tell the place is somewhat historic. The wait staff seemed spread a little thin throughout the space and this made it difficult for drinks to be refilled and food to be brought out together. Despite that, those of you who know my reviews, my true testament to a restaurants capabilities and status lies within how well they maintain their bathroom cleanliness...well this place passes with flying colors. Clean, toiletries abundantly available, and employees have to wash their entire arm for 20 seconds, according to the sign hahaha! Despite the waitstaff, you cannot beat the flavor and authenticity of the food served here! I don't typically like to go to "Mexican" restaurants because: 1. My mother-in-law can cook it all 2. The food is Tex-Mex, not Mexican 3. Tomatoes are used for everything rather than chili peppers. This place uses chilis!!!! And it's delicious! The table salsa is amazingly spicy, the table tostadas are house made and crisp, the caldos are like grandma would make! The lunch special was particularly good with the caldo de res being wonderfully flavorful with the bone it meat, the meat was tender perfectly spiced with the soup...perfect for a cool fall lunch. The gorditas were also like grandmas, stuffed with meat, lettuce and cheese. Tasty, tasty, tasty! Overall, if you want true Mexican food come here, just don't expect the best of service. I know I'll be back for lunch since it's just down the road from my new clinical site!

Looks like what I've been looking for! Traditional American Style Diner!…read more Service was pretty good. No complaints there. Ambiance was perfect. It has that trucker, small town American diner ambiance. The food was delicious! I want to visit here again next Saturday and try a different breakfast plate. First off, I've been wanting good hash browns that don't seem like frozen or bought pre-prepped and these hit the spot! They're unique also. Never had this style. The potato slivers were really thick so really tasty. It was toasty and soft, so perfect texture. I just wish it was seasoned. I understand why it may not be but it would've made it perfect. I came originally to order the ham steak but I saw home made hot Italian sausage and I had to try it. I'm so glad I did. It was delicious! So tasty! It's going to be hard not ordering that on my next visit. I didn't care for the Apple Cobbler. It was just a mini apple pie. I mean if that's what you want go for it. It tasted good. It's just not my ideal version of a cobbler. I still highly recommend this place and I'm definitely eating here again on my next opportunity to eat breakfast!

Waited awhile for the waitress once seated. I ordered their version of French Dip - Tri Tip dip. Waited for about 30 minutes for the food. Waitress brought it out without the Au Jus. Stated she would go back to kitchen to get it. Came right back out, stating they were all out. If the point if a DIP sandwich is the AuJus, you should announce you are out AT THE TIME THE ITEM IS ORDERED!! It took so long to get the mean, I did not feel like sending it back to the kitchen to order something else. And don't bring out Malt vinegar or Worchestershire sauce as a "substitute! French fries as a side were luke warm and UNSALTED! Salt would no longer stick to the potatoes at that time. Sandwich was dry....definitely needed the Au Jus. Ended up eating the insides, leaving the greasy ciabatta on the plate. Probably will notvretuen. Lackluster service and mediocre food quality. El Paso has better food choices!
