Food is really good. They do have have horrible customer service. Reason is they are understaffed during peak hours. You have to wait a long time to get your order. The cashier is overwhelmed with transactions and dealing with money and then serving you the drinks. They don't have a good system to get your order and then find you to get it to you. Food was decent and the place was nice and clean. My only issue was that it was stupid pricey. We had 3 burritos, a coffee and bottle water and it was like $30. The burritos were $9 and claimed to be big, but on the contrary it was a regular sized tortilla with light meat. My tortilla was also toasted instead of just warmed. I came here for the first time. I used yelp to help me find this place since I was visiting family. The food was awesome, the burritos where my favorite over the tacos. Had menudo and Barbacoa. Barbacoa didn't have seasoning and tasted too gamey. The Menudo was pretty much the same. No spice or flavor. It was very clean and equal amounts of tripe and hominy, but had no seasoning or spice. read more

While still practicing social distance had to attend a funeral of a close family member so stopped for some take out for lunch after hearing how good the food was here. Disappointing; starting with the lack of customer service showed by the cashier, prince for quality and the extremely long wait especially since due to the pandemic there were no tables for them to wait on, only to-go orders. We ordered 4 tacos of "asada", 4 of "buche" and 2 "barbacoa" burritos for a total of $27.86; I found it a bit pricey but I thought would be worth it if the recommendations were right. The barbacoa was pretty decent, however the buche was not tasty, and the asada had just a hint of the Smokey flavor you expect, but was neither tender nor seasoned well. The restaurant itself is small and decorated with words I've seen by fellow tweeters. Witty and smart. Not only were the tacos pricey, the barbacoa was tasteless. My mother ordered a torta de barbacoa and she was given just that. The bread and the barbacoa. With the barbacoa being so bland, you'd think they'd actually prepare the torta with toppings but we were left to our own devices and headed to their toppings bar. Not much to choose from. One of their salsas was extremely salty which normally would be a really bad thing but since the barbacoa has no flavor, I couldn't complain. I was really pleased with my order today. I had the barbacoa tacos. The meat was tender and flavorful. The tortillas were so fresh tasting. The portions were more than generous. These tacos definitely fulfilled my craving for excellent barbacoa. Loved this place and will definitely return soon! Simple menu: Barbacoa, either by weight or via a plate. My husband got the taco plate (4 tacos) and I got the gordita plate (1 huge gordita!). Then they have a topping bar and we used both the red and green chili sauces, cilantro, chopped onions and limes. My husband mentioned how it felt much "lighter" than having a burger yet was totally satisfying. I could have easily stopped eating half way through my over sized gordita, as I was already full, but it tasted so good, I couldn't stop. The prices were low. Canned drinks were in a coke-fridge. I want to say I'm impressed. I tried the barbacoa in a lonche (white bread roll) and it was really good. It was tasteful and not greasy at all. They included red and green salsa, cilantro and onions with my order. The staff was very nice and they even gave me a discount for being the first time. This place is so good!!!! First time here , will be back before we leave to California.. the Menu is so simple but that's all u need.. the tacos are full with meat the burritos the same... they have a torta. I don't like to be so negative about a small and local business, but I was very disappointed. I have been wanting to check this place out for awhile, but hadn't gotten around to it as it closes at 3pm and I just never was able to get there before close. I was able to get in there today (12/21/21) and I ordered a 1/2kg of barbacoa and some tortillas. When I got home and opened the box of barbacoa hoping to feed my family lunch, I was extremely disappointed. It looked like pureed meatloaf sitting in a pool of melted lard or oil. It didn't smell like food at all. ( I was wearing a mask at the store so I didn't notice the lack of aroma there) There was grease all over the inside of the bag and I poured out a large amount of grease. It did not look like barbacoa in the least. I've had barbacoa before and this was definitely not it. I thought maybe I was accidentally given the wrong food and figured I might as well try it, maybe it tasted better than it looked. It absolutely did not. No one else would even try it, it looked that bad. Even the dog wouldn't eat it. I was not able to take it back to the store, otherwise I would have. Normally I wouldn't post a bad review over a simple matter of the wrong food, but this was pretty gross and I don't see how anyone working in a restaurant could think it was okay to send whatever it was they gave me out of the kitchen to serve, even if it was their first day. It was that bad. I'm trying to give the benefit of the doubt that it was just an honest mistake but I would definitely advise everyone to check their to go orders before leaving the restaurant. read more

Excellent. I could go on and on, but I'll be short and sweet. Very clean, and the staff was welcoming, smiling and friendly. A small selection, but all I wanted was barbacoa, and it was F*CKING DELICIOUS. Mexican soda for drinks (yes!!!) and for $6 I would have to say, it's the most satisfying Mexican eating experience I've ever had since moving here (6 years ago).
