The owner is the biggest problem…read more Jason Groves is astronomically unprofessional. To the point where my second call to his company, I started recording the conversations. Did this twice. The first call, which wasn't recorded, he said that they only accept cash. Then, once he realized I was recording the line, for the second call, he changed his tune and said, "We take cash AND cash app. But, only I can do that. Other employees don't really have the app." He said we should call before heading down. Well, my boyfriend got there at 11:55am. To where, he called Jason and Jason responded, "We have lunch for 25 minutes." Well, 25 ended up turning into over an hour. So, while my boyfriend waited for a worker to come back, I called Jason back. (Mind you, I had to go to work so I could not attend with my boyfriend to pick up the car. So, calling Jason from work.) When I spoke to Jason again, he started making excuses that the workers go to lunch for 25 minutes. then it changed to 1 hour. Then it became, "Well, they leave, 11am,12pm and 1pm. I don't know but they have a lunch!" I said, "Okay, well where are you?" Jason responded with, "I'm not there or I would have already released the car. I am in Franklin!" Well, earlier Jason said he was one of the only employees to have Cash App. So, if that was the case, how would my boyfriend get the car back if he was in Franklin? I continued to inquire about the ever changing answers and all I got in response was Jason Groves getting aggravated and cutting me off by repeating, "Thank you Ma'am, THANK YOU MA'AM!" To get me off the phone. Luckily I recorded the conversations and will be reporting some of the suspicious activity they have on their lot to The Better Business Bureau and also to the Division of Consumer Affairs. 5 star ratings for this business are friends Jason, found on his Facebook account or/and fake accounts made to create more 5 star ratings. Will attach videos of the conversations once I get home, to Yelp.

Oh well, lesson learned! I called and they dispatched a truck to me which was there in about 45 minutes to an hour. The driver loaded up my truck and dropped it off to Toyota just like I asked. I arrived just before they closed at 6 pm, left it there overnight and they replaced my tire for free! Overall, I had a great experience with Barrett's. Great service, and a reasonable wait for the truck considering where I was on the 840 and the fact that they were at least 20 minutes away in Murfreesboro. I'd definitely use them again.

Meanwhile, Jon, Tonya, and their crew of awesome mechanics fixed it entirely for a fraction of the cost and in record-breaking time. Jon--at all times--was extremely transparent about what the issue was, what parts needed to ordered, and the what the service cost would be. Ouch. I was told I've been driving on a wing and a prayer. Many prayers since I heard the first "pop" a year and a half ago. The reason for all of this is I'm planning on going out of town so I wanted my car ready. Needless to say I was shocked to find out it wasn't my exhaust. I would strongly caution anyone considering bringing their vehicle to Christian Brothers Automotive…read morebased on my experience over multiple visits. I have a 2017 BMW and have brought it to this location repeatedly since February for ongoing cooling system issues. During that time, multiple components were replaced, including the radiator, hoses, water pump, and engine coolant outlet. Despite this, problems continued, and new issues developed immediately after repairs. Most recently, after cooling system work, my air conditioning stopped working properly. It would only blow slightly cool air while driving and would get warmer at idle -- a clear change from how it functioned before the repair. When I brought it back, I was told the A/C expansion valve needed to be replaced due to "high pressure." However, when I asked for actual pressure readings or any concrete diagnostic data to support that conclusion, none was provided. The explanation remained vague and was not backed by measurable values. I also asked whether airflow-related issues had been ruled out (such as the cooling fan or airflow across the condenser), given that the symptoms were worse at idle. Again, no clear or detailed answer was given. I specifically requested confirmation that the cooling system was vacuum filled and properly pressure tested after the prior repair. While I was told verbally that it was done, there was no documentation provided to verify it. A major concern throughout this process has been communication. When I sent detailed follow-up questions by email, they were not answered. Instead, I would receive a message that the vehicle was ready for pickup, without any of my questions being addressed. I also contacted the owner directly, as he has suggested in responses to other reviews, and did not receive any response. The only documentation provided after each visit was basic invoices listing parts replaced, with no meaningful technician notes, diagnostic detail, or recorded test data. For a vehicle with repeated and interconnected issues, this lack of transparency is a serious concern. While the car is currently operating normally after the latest repair, the pattern of repeated issues, unsupported diagnoses, and lack of communication made this a frustrating, expensive, and time-consuming experience. Based on my experience, I would not feel confident returning here for future repairs, especially for anything requiring detailed diagnostics. I would strongly recommend that others ask for clear diagnostic data and written confirmation of procedures before approving any work.
