Fantastic instructors, good variety in the classes! I have been to barre in the past, but I was new to Barre3, they were super welcoming to newbies, you have the option of hands-on help and the instructor makes a conscious effort to be in a central place to demonstrate all exercises/flows. Will be continuing to take classes! read more

Classes were leveled, well explained and made me feel great. Knee arthritis pain improved.

I booked a signature class here through class pass. I consider myself to be relatively strong/fit, but the class was challenging and fun while offering modifications for anyone who wanted/needed them. The instructor and receptionist were very kind, and the space was very clean. I didn't like the music selection, and there was a bit of a weird culty vibe, but I would probably go again. I do think that it's overpriced if you're booking directly with them. read more

I've never felt so comfortable and welcome to a gym like the Barre3 studio in Brookline. After several years of HITT, and strength training, I wanted to do something new and found Barre3. I was amazed at how much of a community I felt on day 1. Everyone is enthusiastic about being there, open-minded, and passionate about mental and physical well-being. I found that not only my strength improved, but so did my mental fortitude. I would find myself looking forward to class and feeling rejuvenated after each one. It's a safe space where people of all fitness levels and backgrounds are welcome. Moreover, the positivity is infectious, and the instructors genuinely care about the people. Sadly I have to move from Boston, and I will probably never find a community like this one; I'll miss them dearly. read more

10/10 all the way around! From reception to the actual class it was a seamless process since I had booked ahead of time. Katrina was my instructor for my first visit and let me tell you all I left feeling every part of the workout! I haven't been working out lately as often as I should and after leaving her class I booked for the month. If you're into mind body strength practices this is definitely the way to go. read more

Still a five star experience. Some businesses didn't bounce back so well post-pandemic and I'm sure the small ones were affected the worst, but Team Simone has been navigating it well. Teachers are enthusiastic, classes are filled with hard-working, focused people, front desk management is solid. Studio and other spaces are clean, communication is clear and regular. The best part is that regular attendance really does result in a stronger core, strong muscles, less back pain, more flexibility, peaceful end-of-days (if that's when you take your classes!) Always always glad I came. read more

I got a fantastic work out at Barre3 on Saturday! Owner, Simone Bernstein, taught the class and she is very enthusiastic, helpful, and encouraging as an instructor. The studio looks brand new and is meticulously clean. They have a small play area for children to be supervised while their parents are taking classes. I've never seen this at a barre studio before. Not sure if there is a fee for this service, but I think it is a nice touch to allow parents of young children to be able to take classes. Some clothing including ToeSox, which I love, are sold in the lobby as well. As far as the barre class goes, there wasn't as much work at the barre as I would typically expect. However, there were pilates and yoga elements incorporated which were very effective. The class was packed, so it made the space seem a little small. All I can say is that no workout in recent memory made my thighs and butt burn like this one. Definitely try Barre3 in Washington Sq., Brookline, if you have any interest in barre, whether it's your first time or you're very experienced in taking barre classes. read more

barre3 - Brookline - Barre class! - Barre Classes Near Me - Brookline, Massachusetts

Your thighs and glutes will be on fiyaaaah after an hour session with your instructor. I can feel it burning until now and it's been 2 hours after the class. Came here because of a yelp event and it was very well worth it. The studio is nice and cozy, very clean, with a lot of windows. There are a few lockers at the back where you can put your belongings there. There are also a few cubboards at the front where you can store your belongings. The staff are so welcoming, super nice. The studio itself is not too big, but it can comfortably fit around 20-25 people in the studio. It contains weights from 1 lb - 4 lbs and balls. The mattresses are very clean and new, too! My experience with this place so far: - Simone the instructor is great, she is super energetic, and super attentive. She does a great job at hyping the class up. The song choices that she chose are great too, a mixture of pop songs, edm, and I believe Indian song. - the class was fun, filled with energetic people trying their best to not tumble and fall. There were many moves to try out and it just gets your whole body fired up. I would really recommend this place because it's new, and the instructors great, and they have some cool Promotions going on. Please see my attached images. thanks for the great experience guys! read more

I have nothing but great things to say about this studio! I have been going to this studio weekly since it opened in 2017, and have loved every class. The classes are not at all intimidating like a few other studios I've been to, which is a huge plus for me. Simone and her team are awesome -- so supportive and they really encourage you while also stressing the importance of modifications and doing what your body needs. The classes incorporate arms, legs, core, a little bit of cardio, and stretching/breath work at the end, and feels like the perfect full-body workout. The studio is bright & clean (especially now during COVID) and proof of vaccination is required, which has made me feel more comfortable as I have started coming back in the studio for classes. Simone and her team are wonderful -- you can't go wrong with any of the instructors! read more

This is the BEST workout ever!! Every single class, I leave feeling stronger, with a more positive mindset, and ready to tackle the rest of the day. The instructors are all incredible - so kind and encouraging!! I look forward to every single class and am so grateful I found this studio! I highly recommend!! read more

Came here for a free 6 45pm class on Monday night. They were doing free classes thru the weekend and then luckily extended for the entire week! The good: +like every good Barre 3 they have a flawless check in process, a friendly check in person, and the place is very clean!! +excellent teacher; Emily was GREAT! She was smiling, gave great direction, was sweet and motivating; she also had her mother in the class (so cute!) +GREAT MUSIC! Loved her play list. To work on: -the class was packed, hopefully dies down when it's less busy with the free promotion. -couldddd do a better deal. currently the deal is 119 a mo. but i heard other barre3's (aka washington dc) does 99 a mo. for new studios that open for new members. -could have it be more legs and a more challenging class over all. Overall I liked it a lot; I don't live in the area so it's not convenient for me to go to but I liked it! Exhale is similar/little more hard, but overall a great space and Emily is a fantastic instructor! Try it out! read more

Barre3-Brookline is a wonderful, welcoming studio. Simone, the owner, and the instructors are friendly and caring and the classes are empowering and as challenging as you'd like them to be (you are always encourged to listen to your body and options to layer on movements are often provided). The virtual and outdoor classes have also been a saving grace throughout the pandemic. Barre3 has been part of my weekly fitness routine for several years and will continue to be! read more

I had an amazing workout at this clean and beautiful barre studio. Every hour that I am there, I feel my thighs, glutes, and arms getting stronger. I love that it is very low impact but at the same time it gets you sweating.I had the chance to do a class with Simone, Rachel, and Christine and they are very fun and motivating. If you're on the go, they have showers equipped with towels and toiletries. They even have hair bands in case you forget one! Their showers are so clean, I can tell that hygiene is definitely on their top list which I really appreciate. read more

I have never paid for an exercise class of any sort because I've never been persuaded that I need anything more than Youtube instructors and running outside or at the gym at school. However, I came here yesterday, Saturday during the free event organized by Yelp and was mindblown by the class taught by the owner Simone, and it has seriously made me reconsider my stance on such classes. I could feel my legs shaking well after the class yesterday, and the soreness that I woke up to this morning was crippling-I consider myself relatively "fit" in terms of strength and my heart rate, but I swear the routine she gave us worked out ever single leg muscle--standing up, walking, and going up and down the stairs are almost impossible. I literally have to grit my teeth or yell out loud in pain whenever I do any of those things today, and my family and friends are all like uhh wtf? I don't think the calories burned in the 60 minutes was that substantial, but the fact that I can still feel so much of the effects convinces me that it's probably still burning, and it's also not all about burning, but more so strengthening. I definitely feel it way more in the lower body and believe the lesson focused primary on that-my arms were sore going into the class from previous workout and don't feel any more sore today. We did little sit up things with a ball under our upper back and I don't feel anything in my stomach. We did start with leg heavy stuff and then I sneaked in a bunch of breaks when i got to push ups, so could also just be me. Oh yeah, and the instructor is very nice and enthusiastic-encouraging but not pushy or judgemental at all. Some of the encouragement was kinda funny though..stuff about how you're making a better you which then extends to better influence for others around you and the world---hahahah um, no, this is 100% for myself. I appreciate the general direction of the words, though. The space is clean, I don't like putting my hands on the ground where other peoples bare feet were a second ago and I also don't love how cramped the space was during the free event--body odor around you and people's feet sticking near your faces while on the mat, but this is probably normal for any group workout class in this category so it's probably fine. I definitely want to try this studio again, and then try out some other ones and see what I like. Thank you for the great experience! read more

The 5 stars is for the incredible cleanliness of the studio and friendliness of the staff, including the instructor, who offered tons of accommodations for various moves during the class and was just super nice overall. I tried it during their free grand opening event, full disclosure. That said, the class is an hour and I burned just shy of 100 calories (via Fitbit Charge HR data), so I didn't find this to be a great use of my time. The workout is a little tedious; you do many, many, many reps of the same move, which I know is the barre way, but at Pure Barre and Exhale I feel like they mix it up more and the class itself is more fast-paced. Parts of the class were challenging for sure, and someone who isn't super experienced with barre OR who wants/needs more accommodations due to injury etc will probably have a really great experience here. read more

Barre3 is a great new studio I would highly recommend trying out in Washington Sq., Brookline. Owner, Simone, taught the class herself and she seemed to be extremely enthusiastic and dedicated to her studio. The class was a bit overcrowded, which made it uncomfortable at times, but the employees tried hard to make it work well. They even cleaned the mats for you at the end which is not typical of what I've seen at other studios. I was expecting a more typical barre workout at the ballet barre with weights. However, I still got a great pilates/yoga inspired ab&legs workout and am still incredibly sore 3 days later. I look forward to coming back! read more

This is an excellent barre studio. The owner, Simone, is very welcoming and unlike any other barre instructor I have met in the past. She smiles a lot and is attentive to the needs of the students in the class. When I arrived, the receptionist was very nice as well, and all you have to do is look at the attendance list for your session and initial next to your name. There was a handwritten "Welcome!" next to my name and a few of the others - I thought that was a nice touch. As a new client, they have you fill out a quick one-page informational sheet when you arrive with your basic information and an emergency contact. The class I took yesterday was part of a promotion I saw on Facebook where you could try a class at this barre3 location for free as a new client. After the class ended, Simone presented me with a note card with all of the studio times listed, and the new client specials listed on the back. They offer three classes for $45 or two-weeks unlimited for $89 as part of their new client promotion. The studio supplies you with everything you need to have a productive class: a small towel, a barre ball, free weights and a mat for the floor exercises. You can either participate in the class barefoot (many of the women in my class did so) or purchase gripper socks. My biggest surprise from yesterday: Simone sent me a personal email the same evening, asking for my feedback about the studio and the class, and if I had any questions regarding the promotions for new clients. The follow-up was a fantastic touch and a great business model for them. After this workout (and a few barre classes at other studios in the past), I have concluded that barre is not the workout of choice for me. I prefer running, boxing and spinning, but I had to write a review and offer barre3 five stars because they are definitely top notch if you love barre classes! read more

Barre 3 in Brookline is the best! The classes are great--they give you a great workout and will get you in your best shape ever without being crazily difficult or hard to follow. Everyone on staff including--the awesome owner (Simone) is super friendly and helpful--the space is airy and comfortable (and, it goes without saying, super clean). I cant think of anything more I would want from an exercise studio. read more

Barre3 has been a special place for me over the last three years. I have strengthened and lengthened and feel so much better because of it. I have met some of the kindest people there, both on the staff and other clients. During the Pandemic, it was an amazing lifeline...even on Zoom. It helped me stay out of the pits of pandemic depression and keep focused on physical and mental strength. I am so happy they survived and we can now see each other in person again. I thank the team at Barre3 Brookline for helping me and so many others navigate through this crazy journey these last 18 months. read more

Absolutely the best barre studio in Boston. I've done barre at every--seriously--EVERY studio in the area and this one is by far the most fun, body positive, energizing one. The vibe is upbeat and exciting, not punishing. The workout is just as intense as other places, but somehow I feel more uplifted and empowered after a workout here. Idk if it's the vibe or the way they incorporate bursts of cardio, but I love it. The owner, Simone, is always around and so welcoming. Between the happy, kind instructors, CHILDCARE, gorgeous window light, and those barre 3 burpees , it's just the best. read more

Really like this barre studio. The instructors are motivating and focus on body positivity, not intense and trying to sculpt your body into something else. The place is clean, smells good, and very comfortable to be in. A little pricey to be expected but nothing out of the norm for barre studios. Also love how they have a child care option (even though I don't have kids myself!). read more

The teachers and staff here are sooo friendly and welcoming! I had never done barre before and was nervous about my first class, but I felt right at home and super comfortable. I always get a great workout and feel challenged, but the teachers give you frequent reminders to listen to your body and not do things that hurt. It's the best of both yoga and fitness. So glad I found this studio! read more

I found Barre3 when I was newly pregnant and unable to run as much as I would have liked, and have been a member ever since! I've been going to classes 4-5 times a week for the last year and bringing my son along since he was 6 weeks old. I can't say enough about the friendly staff and the amazing instructors. As a runner, I feel so much stronger, more flexible and well balanced and as a new mom it gives me a little freedom during the day! Love love love! read more

Barre3 Brookline is a saving grace. The whole studio has been amazing since day one and even more so since March! I live on the South Shore and still drive (when can drive places!) to the studio on weekends because I cannot find a workout that matches Barre3 and you will never find a studio that makes you feel more welcomed. I've made friends here, I've sweat here and I've never felt better! B3 Brookline is one of a kind! read more

Going to a Barre3 class always leaves me feeling strong, confident and calm. It's all the best parts of yoga, pilates, strength training and cardio rolled into one and I'm absolutely hooked! The Brookline studio is absolutely beautiful, and Simone has done an amazing job building a wonderful community of instructors who are supportive, encouraging and enthusiastic. If I go a week without a class, I really feel the lack in my life. It's a great workout and should be a part of everyone's weekly workout routine! read more

I recently moved to Brookline from out of state and was looking for a new barre class to join. Everyone makes you feel extremely welcomed here and walks you through the classes if you're new. The positive energy is really what made me want to continue coming here. I feel awesome after class and look forward to the next class. Elizabeth is my favorite instructor and she is probably the most happy and positive person I've ever met. read more

Best Barre studio!! I would highly recommend it, I am excited to tell my friends about it.

I have been here twice now and this is the best exercise class I've taken, even considering my favorite spin classes. I'm now in a stage where I need everything, cardio but low impact, stretching but not only that, yoga and strength building. After 120 minutes total of this, I can say Barre 3 can help target working out and strengthening every major muscle group. The music is just right, I love when the instructors turn the lights down and use natural lighting. Instructors are fun, give positivity as you work through the burn as a group, and make you feel comfortable at the fitness stage you find yourself in. Bought a new client class package and can't wait to buy a monthly. Highlights: Work out with out shoes on -- feel grounded and strong! Clean Friendly staff Unpretentious read more

I love Barre3! I had heard mixed reviews about barre in general from friends both in Boston and elsewhere, so I wasn't sure where Barre3 would stack up. I first attended a free outdoor class held this summer and then began attending classes at the studio every few weeks. I already belong to a gym and am on a strict budget so I appreciate the discounted classes they offer when training new instructors, but I do splurge on regularly priced ($26) classes every now and then. The owner, Simone, and the other staff are always so friendly and encouraging. I love that people of all shapes and sizes (and ages and genders) can be found in classes. I did not feel this way at a different barre chain. I am a runner with a nagging hamstring injury, and am not currently allowed to do any impact exercises, so barre has been a godsend - one can only do so much yoga and spinning before dying of boredom. My physical therapist measured a noticeable improvement in my glute strength after several months of going to barre roughly once a week, with no other changes in my fitness routine. I definitely think Barre3 is to thank because of how much it burns during class and hurts a day or two later. It's a great, rewarding workout in an impeccably clean studio in a great location! read more

Great workout, low impact but can definitely feel the toning. Nice & welcoming staff!! Clean & cute studio

Absolutely love this studio. Everyone from the front desk, to the instructors, to the owner is so pleasant & welcoming. The classes are a great mix of cardio, zen, and balance.
