I love hot yoga!" I can't make hot yoga an everyday part of my practice, but every so often, I like to take a heated class to shake things up. My heated class this time happened at Fusion Yoga in Fort Wayne. First, I gotta give a shoutout to the owners for providing childcare. I have never seen such a thing at a yoga studio! I didn't have children with me, but several women in my class did, and I love that my sisters in yoga were able to practice for an hour in a space that welcomes kids, then kindly takes the children away so mom can focus on herself for a bit. What a wonderful thing to see, and it really set the mood for a nice class. Celeste was the instructor for my hot vinyasa flow class. She was great, and her class really kicked my butt. It was way more advanced than I thought it would be! In Celeste's class, I really challenged myself and did some things that I had never tried before, and I was happy with myself for keeping up with the class. The class was packed mat to mat, from the door to the front of the classroom, and a couple of times I had to focus on my breath so I wouldn't spiral from lack of fresh air (which can sometimes happen in a hot yoga class). But I made it the full hour, and was rewarded with that incredibly light and otherworldly feeling you only get after a hot yoga class. The studio itself was undergoing some renovations when I visited, so I didn't get to see much beyond the classroom and the lobby. They sell a lot of yoga paraphernalia, like yoga mats, clothing, and yoga mat cleaner that they make in-house.

They made me feel so comfortable and welcomed--never judged. When you go to Pure Barre, you feel like you're a part of something. So even when you don't feel like exercising, you do feel like showing up to see your new friends. All of the instructors are so helpful, and they go around the room giving tips about how to improve form, etc. At the end of every class, we take a moment to celebrate everyone who showed up and thank our bodies for what they did that day. They have the absolute best cycling class you've ever been to. Literally, I'm not exaggerating. I feel like I know what your thinking....she's a little excited, this one. Well, I am! Let me tell you a few things. Besides spin/cycling, they offer other bomb classes as well. Barre class, a BoxHIIT class and Bootcamp. They have childcare for your littles as well! There isn't a workout I haven't enjoyed since starting at Triumph. I thought for sure I wouldn't sign up for there unlimited package, but here I am. SIGNING UP FOR UNLIMITED, haha!! and better yet, I'm so glad I am. The cycling bikes are better than any bikes I've ever been on. Every instructor is OUTSTANDING. The instructor was friendly (I arrived about 15 minutes early) and the class was small (though I assume mainly because of the holidays). The store/workout space was clean and spacious, and we had plenty of room to move. I'll definitely be back on my next visit! I know it's not up to the franchisee's, but I do wish there was something like "Pure Passport" where we could use our membership at another studio... or even just pay a lower rate for a drop-in class ($25/class would quickly add up, especially on top of a monthly rate).

There is usually no parking at all and if the adjacent park is closed for the season I have no idea where you are suppose to put your car. This is the one major downside of this location. The facility themselves are quite clean albiet crowded at times on the weekend. There isn't too many places to sit down and wait for your kids to finish class. The pool itself is also smaller than other pools we have been to at other YMCA in Illinois. Overall I am happy we have not gotten a YMCA membership as it is not cheap and I can only imagine how it continues to be very crowded during the course of the week.
