Chicken Taco with Cheese

I could sit for hours at this taco stand! The vibes outside were so amazing! There was a good amount of seating with plenty of shade. You order at the window and they bring the food out to you. It was very fast and affordable for the quality. My chicken tacos were so flavorful!! The strawberry margarita was sweet as well. The queso was good, I really liked the pumpkin seed and pomegranates on top. I just wish the queso had some more flavor. Other than that, the food was amazing, service was fast, and vibes were 10/10! Will definitely come back and bring friends!

This taco stand is lovely, and a whole experience in and of itself. The staff are always friendly and have their own unique vibe. The garden here is cozy and comfy, with wildlife keeping you compact while you enjoy the finest tacos I've had in a while. Their prices are surprisingly reasonable, and the quality can't be beat. Happy I discovered this place and it's sister store on Algiers Point

Stopped by for a marg and taco on our trip to NOLA! We loved the location (a quick walk to Magazine St and fun to explore), and the patio is lovely (with options for fans and heaters pending the weather). The margs were refreshing, my steak (beef option is actually steak) taco was perfectly seasoned without being spicy - 10/10 - and the guac was delish! Definitely a great spot for anyone in the area (traveling or local)

This is one of my favorite places to get tacos and margs! I recommend getting the crispy fish taco with the spicy margarita. And my order wouldn't be complete without some chips and queso with chorizo. Barracuda adds such a special touch to the many good eats on Tchoup!

Good selection of freshly made food items. The mangonada is my fav cocktail. Easy to order. Location has a nice flow. It is a taco "stand" you order and courtyard seating is first come first serve. Recommend if you're looking for a casual dining experience with good food and drinks. Tasty vegetarian options.

Barracuda has been our go to for street tacos in terms of quality and quantity. The carne asada, el pastor and broccoli taco was amazing. Flavorful and packed with ingredients. For the price to portion ratio, this is the place. The chips with all the dips were also excellent and the margaritas made for a great team bonding. There's a reason we choose barracuda each time when we have a team bonding and it's because of the quality and quantity of the food.

Always delicious. The tortilla chips taste freshly made. You know it to be true because everyone else serves stale. The cheese dip is delicious. The tacos are chefs kiss. The flavors are so vibrant. My only complaint is the steak taco meat was tough and over cooked. The eatery only has outside dining under some shade and fans. Otherwise, you need to go!!

Even on a weeknight there will be a long line down Tchoup outside Barracuda, and it is warranted. With extensive outdoor seating, quick service, and lively ambiance, there is a reason it is frequented by many. Their tacos are delicious, their drinks strong, and their guac and queso hits all the right notes. In particular the broccoli and fish tacos are stand out to me. Definitely a go-to spot for casual, delicious tacos.

Be sure to check your order, especially if it is to go. The tacos were greasy. I ordered no onions no cilantro. My taco was covered in onions. They remade it and covered it in cilantro but I didn't realize it till I got home. The food is tasty but a little overdone. I don't stay and eat so I can't speak to that but it looked vibes to sit outside and eat at the tables.

Barracuda is a great spot with delicious food, friendly service, and a relaxed outdoor seating area. Perfect place to enjoy a good meal and unwind.

I love barracuda they hit all the notes. They have great outdoor seating but fans so even on a hot day it feels refreshing to be outside. They allow you to bring your pet family so if you got a dog, they're welcome to come with you while you chill outside and have tacos and margaritas all made on homemade tortillas which are delicious. I love the quick service so that you can order as soon as you come in before you sit down Not to mention don't miss the happy hour from 3 to 6 PM the crispy tacos and the nachos are awesome.

Tacos once had little to do with culinary legacy of New Orleans, but times changed; the recovery from broken levee flooding in 2005 attracted a new workforce and new appetites. The taco became a worker's staple just as the po-boy had in a previous generation. Take that developing demand, set down the food truck on an empty lot, put up an awning, and do it all with a chef whose culinary foundation is as much Mexicao as Texas, add a manager who knows how to set up outdoor spaces, and you get Barracuda. Tacos are in the name, and these are excellent. The dressings are fresh. The meats (pork, chicken, beef, crispy fish, and charred broccoli--not a meat but works as well as one--are nicely seasoned. They're not big, which is a blessing for those looking for variety. Chips are thin and crispy and served with salsa, guac, or queso, all of which are recommended as an "all the dips" combo. Quesadilla is listed as a side, but made with all the taco fill options except crispy fish. The crema and salsa are fresh, almost certainly house-made, and compliment whatever they come up against. Seating is outside comfortably situated under an awning. New Orleans isn't the greatest place for sitting outside, but the front of house does a decent job of misting or heating or wind-breaking or whatever's needed to provide a pleasant dining space. Service is order up front with food brought out to you. Staff is friendly and helpful. Tchoupitoulas Street is an unusual thoroughfare in a city full of them, formerly the connection between riverfront wharves and truck traffic. In the late 1900s¹, the access to the commercial riverfront was rerouted to a new truck-only roadway on the far (river) side of the old street. I'll wager that few readers know its name: the "Clarence Frogman Henry Truckway." Thus relieved of its truck duties, Tchoup was torn up and repaved in a massive years-long project. The loading bays, machine shops, railroad yards, and union halls made way for a range of new retail businesses where once there was only Tipitina's bar. Barracuda is one of these bright new spots along the Crescent City's riverfront necklace. ¹ 1900s? yeah, I'm old

Spending so much time in New York, I've probably had better, but the food here is still good. This is a small chain (NOLA, Metairie, Baton Rouge, West Palm Beach), outfitted with neon, murals, and pink flowers. The menus are high tech and light up when you open them. We started with the queso fundido, with melted mozzarella, chorizo, pico de gallo, and microgreens. Comes with corn or flour tortillas. It was cheesy and tasted great. They also provide chips and a flight of three salsas. Salsas all had completely different flavors and spice levels, so I enjoyed that. Other options are guacamole (with or without short rib), plain queso dip, short rib bites, and oysters rockefeller. Selections include various tacos. I had the birria tacos, which are served in a dramatic fashion, hanging from a line over the tray, which contained the consomme, salsas, rice, and refried beans. They were juicy and savory and the accompaniments hit the spot. Though I've probably had better birria elsewhere . . . not sure you'll find any better or authentic anywhere in New Orleans. My husband had the fish tacos (ensenada), crispy and covered in cilantro, payo, pickled cabbage, avocado, and pico de gallo. The fish was light and the pickled slaw added just the right amount of brightness and acidity. They also have mushroom tacos, chicken, bone marrow wagyu, carnitas, shrimp, and more. They serve larger main dishes including fajitas, carne asada, barbacoa, burritos, enchiladas, and more. They have a great drink menu with the expected margaritas and mezcal as well as some fancy specialty drinks. I has the Hasta el Agua Del Florero, which is vodka, bombay, lemon juice, pineapple juice, and watermelon syrup. It was good, but also 20 dollars. The margaritas of course come a little cheaper at 13 bucks and are decent. Some people complained about service. It wasn't busy when we stopped in, but our server stayed on top of things, the table was always bussed, he kept checking to make sure everything was to our liking. We had no server issues at all. Not sure this would be the top of my list to try of all the choices in New Orleans, but not a bad choice if you're in the mood for a Taco Tuesday or some Mexican chow.

Fresh seafood from the Gulf of MEXICO and a wicked drink menu. They offer several ceviches. Tapas include guacamole, empanadas, crawfish queso, fish dip and veggie salads like crispy cauliflower and Brussels sprouts. We had the crispy cauliflower served with tempura, cashew habanero crema, garbanzo hash, and chimichurri. Loads of flavor and just the right bite size for tapas/apps. Plates include churrasco, fish and grits, paella (can be served veggie or without shellfish if you're allergic), lamb, Yucatan style pork, shrimp or steak mofongo, and chicken poblano. I had the churrasco, served with papas bravas. Steak cooked perfectly and seasoned perfectly. My husband had the steak mofongo and the beef tips, like the churrasco, were seasoned perfectly. The plantain mash was sweet and somehow savory at the same time. We loved both dishes. They make mean margaritas and caipirinhas hre, and also offer drinks like the paloma, the Bolivian sour, sangria, and specialty drinks. Service was amazing. She was so upbeat and helpful. This restaurant was a little slow when we went. It deserves a lot more love. It's so close to the touristy part of the French Quarter. Leave the gimmicky spots and come here, you won't regret it.
