This is a Mexican joint that opened up next to Bangkok Thai and Cooter Brown's. I've never seen this joint get really crowded but they seem to have a consistent stream of people eating here. They do offer more of a mom and pop run joint vibe here than other Mexican style joints in the area. I've only ended up eating here a couple of times as honestly Mexican food is not at the top of my cuisine choices so I typically choose Bangkok Thai or Cooter Brown's food (when I get a choice). Now Cooter Brown's food just ain't anywhere as good as it used to be (with their poboys really disappointing me these days) so I'm far less encouraged to go to Cooter's except for oysters and late night food but they don't even serve that late anymore sadly. So if you need a Mexican fix this one will do the job about as well as the many other Mexican style food choices you have in this immediate area and the rest of Orleans, Jefferson and the rest of Louisiana's Parishes.

Come support this amazing establishment! These are the kindest people and the food is great. $2 Tacos and $4 Margaritas on Tuesday. It's always a great time here and they deserve all the support.

 Delicious and perfect.

Amazing Hispanic food. Finally the first Hispanic food place that is delicious and amazing to go to. This will be my go to spot for all hispanic food for as long as i am in New Orleans. There's a very lovely spot to sit at outside and people watch; my girlfriend and I loved it. It's right next to a large oyster bar as well so one can go grab a drink from there later. - The restaurant was clean but empty and so I sort of wish more people would go here to support the place. The owners are very nice and get all the food out rapidly. I want to keep it a secret but this place deserves a lot more business. Go here!

Stopped in for their taco special today and it was delicious. I had two chicken and 1 pork taco and they were wonderful. Homemade flour tacos shells, delicious guacamole and pico de Sala. Then a side of guacamole finished off an awesome lunch.

Went to have dinner there with my husband and he really loved his tacos, tortillas were homemade and food very authentic. I had the flautas and loved that they added sour cream and guacamole on top...charro beans were tasty. I had a michelada and it definitely hit the spot, especially after a long night of drinking last night.

This small hidden gem packs a big punch. The food is truly out of this world. The best Mexican I've had in NOLA. Had the Chile Relleno with chips and homemade salsa. Food was fresh and flavor, authentic and on point. Didn't get a chance to try the margaritas but I've heard from several people that this is the place to get one. Definitely next time!

Yes!! Finally some good TX-Mex ish food. I'm from Dallas and since moving to NOLA I've been on a hunt for some good enchiladas and this finally fed my craving. Don't get me wrong, there is good real Mexican food around, but not Tex-Mex. This place is a mom and pop shop - delicious! The Margaritas are hand made the Jalapeño was so very fresh tasting. My husband loved his chicken fajitas, but in my opinion, the beans and enchiladas stole the show! I had a beef and a cheese, both made my day, I loved the sauce on top. The beans are red beans cooked the charro way tasty!! Service was friendly too. Highly recommend!!

Delicious tacos served on a paper plate.

The atmosphere is chill, calm and authentic. They have a full liquor license IMO if you come here, you must try the bacon wrapped shrimp it is so delectable . The queso is delicious; Hot and creamy with a little kick at the end Chicken in the tacos is juicy and flavorful The tortillas have a soft, texture and a light flavor The only reason I'm not giving this place five stars: the tacos were served on the paper plate. Appetizer on glass. My shots were served in to go cups, and only one of us was served water. Other than major server inconsistencies the ambience is amenable and the food is amazing.

    Inside restaurant

New restaurant from the owner of La Mansion! I'm so glad to see them still in the neighborhood. Their food is so good and tastes authentic! California burrito was great, chips are freshly made and salsa has nice heat to it and isn't overly watery. Suizas enchilada is yummy! Queso had a nice kick. Honestly this place is great, not a great place for large groups and suits takeout style but does have a few tables. Taco Tuesday as well. Happy hour 3-6!

Thank you to the Manager Mike and other Manager too. But the Lady with the black curly shoulder length hair that walked Us next door to Sushi By Us had a nasty attitude and she also tried to rush us from table . Spending so much time in New York, I've probably had better, but the food here is still good. This is a small chain (NOLA, Metairie, Baton Rouge, West Palm Beach), outfitted with neon, murals, and pink flowers. The menus are high tech and light up when you open them. We started with the queso fundido, with melted mozzarella, chorizo, pico de gallo, and microgreens. Comes with corn or flour tortillas. It was cheesy and tasted great. They also provide chips and a flight of three salsas. Salsas all had completely different flavors and spice levels, so I enjoyed that. Other options are guacamole (with or without short rib), plain queso dip, short rib bites, and oysters rockefeller. Selections include various tacos. I had the birria tacos, which are served in a dramatic fashion, hanging from a line over the tray, which contained the consomme, salsas, rice, and refried beans. They were juicy and savory and the accompaniments hit the spot. Though I've probably had better birria elsewhere . . . not sure you'll find any better or authentic anywhere in New Orleans. My husband had the fish tacos (ensenada), crispy and covered in cilantro, payo, pickled cabbage, avocado, and pico de gallo. The fish was light and the pickled slaw added just the right amount of brightness and acidity. They also have mushroom tacos, chicken, bone marrow wagyu, carnitas, shrimp, and more. They serve larger main dishes including fajitas, carne asada, barbacoa, burritos, enchiladas, and more. They have a great drink menu with the expected margaritas and mezcal as well as some fancy specialty drinks. I has the Hasta el Agua Del Florero, which is vodka, bombay, lemon juice, pineapple juice, and watermelon syrup. It was good, but also 20 dollars. The margaritas of course come a little cheaper at 13 bucks and are decent. Some people complained about service. It wasn't busy when we stopped in, but our server stayed on top of things, the table was always bussed, he kept checking to make sure everything was to our liking. We had no server issues at all. Not sure this would be the top of my list to try of all the choices in New Orleans, but not a bad choice if you're in the mood for a Taco Tuesday or some Mexican chow.
