My family and I came here for lunch, because we were craving pizza. It was one of the top restaurants on yelp for pizza, and I see why. The pizza is delicious and the portions are reasonably big, so we ended up splitting two between the five of us. The pizzas only take about 10-12 minutes to cook, so if you wanted to order another one, it wouldn't take very long. We got the margarita pizza and the white sausage, pepper, and onion pizza. Both were very good. Staff were friendly and service was good!

Sea bass prepared with respect for the fish. Simple and excellent.

Enjoyed this lovely little restaurant between our Afternoon at the Van Gogh Museum and our evening concert at the Concertgebouw across the street. We had nice sea bass prepared with respect, and a great frisée Salad big enough for sharing. Good bread, too. An excellent option near the museums and concert hall.

The Spaghetti alla Vongole was the best spaghetti I've ever had. Sauced perfectly the noodles felt homemade. For a starter, the smoked Scottish salmon was just the right size, but I felt like the truffle mascarpone was too much.

Great lunch spot. While visiting Amsterdam we were planning to tour a few museums and decided to find lunch near by. This restaurant is steps from the Rijksmuseum and the Van Gogh museum. My friend and I both had different pastas and they were each fantastic! Bread and olive oil was good as well. Service was good too. I would definitely be up for this spot during my next visit to Amsterdam.

Good for lunch before hitting museums. Food is light fare. Servers are a little air headed, but they will get it right eventually.

It's not your typical "dinner out" spot--it's a humble counter inside a subway station--but the food is arguably some of the best Surinese soul food in Amsterdam. Why it's worth the stop: * The Sandwiches: The Broodje Pom is the star here. It's flavorful, authentic, and served on a fresh roll. * Efficiency: They move through the line fast. It's the ultimate grab-and-go meal that actually feels homemade. * Authenticity: It's local, unpretentious, and consistently high quality. Things to know: It is located inside the station, so there's no "ambience" to speak of and seating is very limited. It's definitely more of a "stand and eat" or "take it to the park" kind of place. Overall: It might not be a fancy sit-down experience, but for the price and the flavor, it's easily one of the best quick bites in the city.

We came during the dinner rush and it was packed inside. Since it was my first time, I wasn't sure what to order so I asked for recommendations. We tried the noodles with beef, and rice with chicken. It's relatively affordable given the large portions. Tasty and reminded me of a mix of Chinese and Indian food. I found an eyelash in my noodles though :(

Having never had it before, I was pleasantly surprised to see how many different parts of Asia seemed to influence this cuisine, especially given that Suriname is a South American country! There is satay, nasi goreng, goat curry, etc - stuff inspired from all over Asia but slightly different than you would get in their original countries. I ordered the chicken Longtong which is an Indonesian dish and a specialty of this place. It was OUTSTANDING and really filled me up too. I did not expect that especially given how nice and cheap it was - I had even ordered an extra side of Satay skewers which I then had to share. Service is nice and quick especially since you mostly just interact at the back stand to order, and then sit down. It was a bit crowded inside but the vibe is nice and we were able to get a table without waiting too much. One minor note is that our cards were not accepted here (visa, Mastercard), so make sure you bring cash! They did a good job of communicating this before we ordered so we did not have to waste too much time, and luckily we had just enough cash anyway. Overall, very solid recommendation for Amsterdam! Surinamese food is not to be missed.

We komen hier zeker terug!
