I love Barnes & Noble for the same reason every bibliophile loves a good bookstore. They keep it…read moreclean and somehow they keep that fresh book smell in the air because it hit you as soon as you walk into the door. I went there just to browse with my daughter and see if there was anything that caught my eye, we had a nice time doing that the store was clean, and the staff really were in the zone helping people who actually have questions, but they were always present and always moving about so I did feel that if I needed anything, someone was immediately available for me to ask. This is my go to Barnes & Noble because the newest one Tequesta is kind of far but if you have the opportunity check that one out. The layout is totally different and it's a little bit brighter and the staff is a bit more interactive I think because of the newness. Barnes & Noble always has sales. They had plenty of books that were 30% off and buy one get one. And if you become a member, there's a lot of Parks for that too. I think you get 10 or 20% off every purchase. I get mine from being a teacher. I'm sure they have other discount discounts for people who work in other areas. All in all, I appreciate mainly that when I'm there I can use a Barnes & Noble gift card in the coffee shop as well as to purchase books I included photos of some of my favorites attached to this review. If you want recommendations, let me know.. Enjoy! Another review from the hungry poet, straight no chaser! -Lizz

I briefly visited Barnes & Noble to purchase a gift card for my grandson's birthday. There are a…read moreton of gift options near the cash registers so I was able to purchase a couple of impromptu gift items as well. The cashier was very friendly and enrolled me as a member to earn rewards. She was extremely knowledgeable and explained the perks to me. I will definitely return to purchase both books for myself and gifts for others.

You could literally get lost in this place!! Theres so much to explore and look at that honestly if…read moreyou wanna get lost from reality for a little bit this is the place! There is such a large collection of books new and old that that search is so fun. They also have dvds, blurry, action figures, collectible glasses and I'm sure so much mire that I didnt see. The owner is super sweet and helpful. If youre looking for anything specific he can point you in the right collection and if they dont have it hes also willing to search for it and get it shipped in on your behalf. I think prices start at $3.99 for paperbacks and go up from there. They also take your old books in. I can't wait to try it out and will update everyone as soon as I do about the process!!

It seems like the aisles kept going, and there was a huge back room full of more aisles of books, And they have a nice section of comic books also which was cool. I thought the section for comic books wasn't as large as I was hoping, but still cool, and I had plenty to go through. Also there is a case with some rare ones also. The staff was really friendly and helpful. My husband found a really cool Star Wars item there he was happy. They also have a small selection of collectible toys. Went walking around more and they have children's book section with vintage books, I had when I was a kid definitely had to take one home. The prices are very good here and reasonable. If you're a book lover, this is definitely a good place for you. You will be pleasantly surprised. If I were in the area of North Palm Beach I will definitely stop in again.

Bibliophiles rejoice! This is the store is for you. In an unassuming office looking building untold…read morediscoveries await. Bookwise is a family owned and operated used book store that has been serving Boca Raton since 1992. In October of 2020 they moved from Spanish River Blvd to 145 NW 20th St, Boca Raton, FL. Bookwise shares space with a textbook store, Booksmart, which serves students at FAU's and PBSC's Boca campuses with textbooks, shirts, and college accessories. In a time when so many independent book stores have gone under it was a pure delight to discover Bookwise. On well organized and labeled shelves you will find a wide range of books including fiction, non fiction, children's books, art, history, biographies, and reference books. The intoxicating smell of the store is familiar to anyone who loves books. Throughout the store are cute displays and cozy nooks that are perfect for curling up with a engrossing read. The friendly staff is always on hand to make recommendations and help you find what your next favorite book. I saw many of the books I have previously enjoyed and picked up some new books for when I hit the beach on my upcoming spring break. Books are 1/2 off the original price which adds to the fun of shopping. You can even try and trade in your old books if they are interested in acquiring them for the store. This is a one of a kind store that is a treasure trove for anyone who likes to read.

The place is quite big and the shelves are well stocked with old and new books at good prices. It may take a little bit to learn the genres and if you're looking for specific books, you may need to ask the staff for help. The staff here are nice and when I called to ask if they accepted donations, they politely said yes they will accept small amounts. I assume they may limit the amount they accept as there are many boxes of books there that are not even opened or on the shelves yet so they may be back logged. Used bookstores are a rare find and I think it's so awesome to have a place like Bookwise in the local community!

The Book Exchange - The Book Exchange in Port St Lucie A friendly and cozy place to find a newused book!

I love supporting small businesses so it pains me to write a negative review. I was shopping in…read morePort St. Lucie for the day when I stumbled upon The Book Exchange. It is very uninviting from the outside because you can't see inside the windows. I almost skipped going in but after looking at some photos online I was curious and decided to check it out anyway despite my negative first impression. The aisles are filled floor to ceiling with books arranged by categories. After looking around for a few minutes I wanted to ask about prices so I went to the counter where an older lady with bleached blond hair was working. I inquired about how much the books cost but she gave a vague answer that they are different prices. I tried to dig deeper to find out how I would know what they cost. Where they marked or did I just have to bring up the book I was interested in to find out? Before I finished she cut me off with a rude "I don't have time to price all of these books!" I felt like I was asking a fairly simple question but she made it clear that I was irritating her so I left. My encounter here was very strange because typically everyone I meet in Port St. Lucie are delightful. It was one of the reasons I came her to shop on my day off. I was hoping to grab a few books but I know a lot of other friendlier and more welcoming places to spend my money.

While visiting Port St. Lucie I sought recommendations of local bookstores. Someone on Reddit…read moresuggested Book Exchange because it's near the vinyl record store Sounds Good Music and the collectibles toy store Lily's and Johnny Collectibles, making that area worth a 10-minute detour off Interstate 95. This bookstore is pretty typical of smaller stores but has a nice selection of science fiction and fantasy including some old British paperbacks of sword and sorcery and several Chris Bunch novels I wished later that I had bought. A lot of paperbacks showed wear on the spines, as if they'd been read and returned a few times, which is cool. The clerk was friendly. The prices were a little higher than I expected on some used books but not enough to deter me from making a purchase.
