I visited this location for the first time recently, whilst on a family vacation in Tequesta. I mapped out a few record stores within a reasonable commute to visit on an unusual chilly and rainy South Florida day. I had researched this record store and read all of your varying reviews here on YELP. My conclusion it was everything I anticipate and more! I have been a music fan since a child in the '70s and have been to countless record stores, both domestically and abroad, since 1979. This particular record store was the best of the bunch I visited in South East Florida. A music diggers dream, or dilemma, if you retain an aversion to controlled chaos. Yes indeed, the store is disorganized, but that is the thrill of the chase for me. I secured some diamonds in the rough that were reasonably priced. As for prices, not one item was priced. However, John the owner was upfront about prices. Particularly, general sections of records. There was a plethora of reggae and rock 45s, with a heavy dose of southern rock 12" records. I secured some original, still sealed vintage metal and rock vinyls, among other goodies. Some nice promotional records and CDs were on hand, as well. The store owner John was a Southern gentlemen, filled with local anecdotal music stories. I found him to be a kindred spirit and down-to-Earth. I had inquired into purchasing a store logo shirt, as I collect them from each new record stores that I visit. He had none to offer but the man literately gave me, pro bono (for free) a new, old copy of a 12" record he played on and a new, old stock cassette he was involved with, as a souvenir for my trip and time spent shopping at his store. I was blown away by that selfless gesture and quite honored. My only regret was that my time was a bit limited that day, as I could have spent hours more digging and chatting. I hope to return on my next excursion in 2023, God willing. In sum, as a few other previous reviewers noted. If seeking a record boutique like that jokers in Juno's record was like, then this record shop may not be your cup of tea. If you are remotely like me, into getting your hands dirty, to dig for original pressings and various pieces of memorabilia, then this store is a music lovers, diggers delight. With plenty of free parking and a convenient location, in the historic town of Lake Park, Florida.

John is a great guy! One of the best collections I've ever seen. Loved spending some time in here + John plays some good tunes while you dig around. Ask about any artist and they got it.

It seems like the aisles kept going, and there was a huge back room full of more aisles of books, And they have a nice section of comic books also which was cool. I thought the section for comic books wasn't as large as I was hoping, but still cool, and I had plenty to go through. Also there is a case with some rare ones also. The staff was really friendly and helpful. My husband found a really cool Star Wars item there he was happy. They also have a small selection of collectible toys. Went walking around more and they have children's book section with vintage books, I had when I was a kid definitely had to take one home. The prices are very good here and reasonable. If you're a book lover, this is definitely a good place for you. You will be pleasantly surprised. If I were in the area of North Palm Beach I will definitely stop in again.

Some of the books looked old and rare. I recognized Hardy Boy books back from my mothers childhood stash. There is also an entire room filled with collectibles and comics. I didn't need any help but the friendly gentleman running the store that day was at the ready to answer questions. Hard and soft cover books are half off whatever they are priced at on the inside cover. They had a great election of Agatha Christie mysteries which are always a favorite. In a time when so many independent book stores have gone under it was a pure delight to discover Book Exchange and Comic Shop. The intoxicating smell of the store is familiar to anyone who loves books. You can order books online but there is something so satisfying about going into a bookstore and holding the books in your hands as you make your decision. Visiting this store is a great way to save money as you add to TBR pile.

Barnes & Noble has become a sad shadow of its former self…read more This B&N in particular is poorly staffed and dirty. Awful Starbucks too, the few black coffees I've purchased are consistently burnt. It's pretty much impossible to find a staff member unless you're checking out, and often times there's long lines you have to wait though because there's one cashier behind the desk. There has been only one time I've seen an employee at the circulation desk. They didn't carry two out of the three books I asked about, and the one she told me was in stock was not on the shelves when I went to look. I approached her again (waiting through another long line of desperate book buyers) asking if she could direct me to the aisle the book I wanted was in, and she told me her system didn't have a book section listed. Can you imagine going to Publix, asking where the cereal is, and the cashier doesn't know? I remember when you shopped here and the employees not only knew where the book you wanted was, they could walk you right to where it was on the shelf and other sections where the author was listed. Also, why are there so many games and toys now? I must've seen five aisles of plastic light up toys and stuffed animals for kids, the cheap stuff you buy for your neighbor's cousin's birthday party. The kid's section was so sad to walk around. Poorly made picture books with AI-slop cartoons. Maybe a small handful of classics like Madeline and Brown Bear, Brown Bear. No chapter books as far as I could see. Instead of brightening our children's minds with imagination and literary challenges, they're dumbing them down with cheap content. I remember spending hours here with my Dad as a kid, paging through books while he sat with a coffee and magazine. I hope, so so much, that it can return to this.

The bookstore opened their first brick & mortar store on Fifth Avenue at 18th Street in New York City which is today the flagship store. Barnes & Noble grew worldwide with its variety of reading material which included general trade books, academic titles, textbooks, and medical books. As the world turns into the digital age, Barnes & Noble began to upgrade their stores with innovation, contemporary aesthetic with books at the center, grew their food and beverage offerings, and comfortable seating for a friendly customer experience. The Palm Beach Gardens location is large, and the staff is friendly and accommodating. The book price values are reasonable, and the other amenities are enjoyable. I am still one of those individuals that love to hold a read a hard cover book. But do not get me wrong, I also read books online.

All of this is packed into a store that is far smaller than my apartment. This particular location isn't anything to complain about more so than any other Gamestop, although it still baffles me how every one of them has the same musty, unclean smell. In fact, they all appear to have the same exact qualities as one another. On a positive note, each employee that I have spoke to here has always been amicable and eager to assist me with any of my inquiries (hence the two stars instead of one).
