This is one of the most negative and depressing experiences I have ever had with any bookstore. I…read morepurchased a book I had been searching for for years from them as a first edition book for an agreed-upon price of $850. The book was covered in a rare dust jacket, which, if imperfect, was still in fairly good shape. When I received the book, I found it to be a second edition. However, the second edition of this book had the identical jacket to the first edition, making it still a fairly valuable jacket at least. I indicated to the bookstore that they had sold me a second edition copy as a first edition, while still conceding the value of the jacket, and offered to keep it for a small price adjustment in consideration of the difference in value of the actual book, of which the true first edition was worth perhaps $200, and the second edition, perhaps $75. The company, specifically Heidi, demanded that I send the book back, and would offer no reasonable price adjustment based on having sold the jacket not as described. Meanwhile, I had a "friend" who is a much more seasoned collector than I advising me that I absolutely couldn't spend $850 on a second edition book, particularly one that was misadvertised. I really wanted to keep the book but did not want to be taken advantage of by the misinformation provided, so eventually, I had to return the book. I also provided the company with the background information that my "friend," whom they knew by name as someone active in the book industry, had told me what they were asking for the book was inappropriate and unethical, although as I have said 80% of the value was in the jacket, so I didn't mind paying $650 for the jacket and $100 for the later-edition book. Additionally, no apology was ever issued for misinforming me about the edition of the book. At any rate, as soon as I sent the book back, my "friend" called them up and bought it from them for the $750 I would have gladly paid, and which I had asked them in three separate emails to make me whole by doing. At any rate, the "friend" is no longer my friend, and this bookshop acted unreasonably and unethically and shouldn't be in the business, as far as I can see. The owners belong to ABAA, but they certainly don't abide by their standards of ethics. I have no idea why they commandeered the book back and sold it to my "friend" instead of reaching to me and indicating that they were going to sell it for the amount I had offered to compromise on 3-5 times. I would advise staying away, especially if you are a book buyer at a distance.

In fact, Boscov's was the ONLY credit card they EVER HAD! They were so cute . . . Anyway, with the decline of poor (formerly Echelon Mall) Voorhees Town Center, Boscov's is the only anchor (dept) store left here! They have me captive and now I'm a customer AND fan! The ladies dept has beautiful formal dresses; the children's dept has nice clothing and great deals and I really "mopped up" on Champion brand (heavy weight) tees & shorts for my son a few weeks ago. I splurged a bit on myself in both the jewelry & home decor departments. I'm guessing I got bargains due to the post holiday season. I bought two beautiful pair of earrings (one, rhinestone stars - $8; the other, abalone oblong ovals $15). Lastly, I got a set of precious/beautiful mother/babies set of Oleg Cassini crystal ducks (see photo). They were half priced. There was a huge assortment of animals (hummingbirds, penguins, fish) and insects (butterflies, dragonflies), etc. (mushrooms, a clam with a "pearl", paperweights) to choose from! Last month I got a pair of shoes for work that I just love (so comfy) plus a few 6-packs of ankle socks for my daughter for only $1.99/ea! A bonus to shopping here is that you can get in and out quickly. The mall is all but dead now and there are usually more than enough cashiers around. They still even offer free gift wrap in Customer Service (lower level near toys). Lastly,check out the candy department with Godiva and Asher's if you're in a bind for a gift or want a yummy treat. You can even just buy a single chocoalte covered pretzel, etc., if you have a whooley!

Reasonable pricing with lots of sale items. Hardest part was finding a sales person for help as many of the checkout counters are closed. Staffing is at a limited.

I first found myself in this store around August 2013 right before I began student teaching. I needed dress shoes that were cheap, so I went to Payless Shoes - because of the name alone. I was looking for brown shoes to match my brown belt, but they didn't have any. I told them I was looking forward to paying less and said I'd walk down to DSW. They told me not to never go there and to try Burlington Coat Factory instead. What're the odds that 3 shoe stores are in the same shopping area? About same odds that the coat store sells shoes. Sure enough, I was met with a good selection of shoes and picked ones to be later dubbed, my ugly dress shoes. In hindsight, that title was probably the reason I was dragged back here a few months ago for fashion upgrades. I was told that I couldn't wear the same dress pants every day, so I went in and got two nice pairs for $20 each. Then as my sneakers were a bit old (8 years), and recently nicknamed "the shoes I hate" by the same person, I got a pair of sneakers for about $20 too. While I was there, I picked up a belt to go with my new dress pants for $12. On the way out, I joked that all I needed was a coat to have everything I need. So I ate my words and bought a coat for about $30 to replace my annual winter strategy of double hoodie and layers. So on this disgustingly cold rainy day, I'm happy I went to Burlington Coat Factory and got a coat to handle living in this muggy and gross region of the country! I got everything I need all in one place, for a pretty good price and of pretty good quality.

I've been using the store since they were in Woodbury, NJ I moved around the corner some 20 years ago. I still use them now. Even when there were other Christian book stores within driving distance The Joshua Tree has always been my first choice.
