True the owner can be brusque. But why dwell on that? Do you want forced pleasantries and insincere flattery, or do you want good books? He is passionate about collecting books and you benefit from that. We had a brief conversation about some rare books that he has with interesting stories behind them -- since he isn't one to fake pleasantries, there was an authentically interesting texture to that brief exchange.

The guy literally saw me carefully let the book slide out of the sleeve and the guy gave me a lecture on how to do it properly, which is the way I did it, and what not to do. At one point, I had my phone out to see what books I am still looking for and which ones I have and the guy said that I need to put my phone away and use two hands to look at books. I wasn't even touching any books!! I thought this customer service was terrible. I don't need to be lectured how to look at a book when I'm not even touching any of them after he gave me the proper way to take a book out of its sleeve, which I did correctly. Also, the book price on the sleeved book is not the same as what the sign said on top. The sign was more and he said that no prices are written on the books with a book sleeve, which was a complete lie.

It was a boutique book at a boutique bookstore, so I expected to pay a little more and was happy to support a local store that provides such a valuable resource for children. As it turns out, I checked the price on Amazon while writing this review, and it was about the same! This is an amazing local resource that encourages children's curiosity while helping keep the town unique and charming. I'm so glad I discovered it and will definitely be back.

i've been here twice now and the service is always TOP NOTCH. super kind, fast and attentive. the…read morestore itself is beautifully designed and they have a great selection of goods. the cafe is adorable with a nice outdoor seating area and a great atmosphere. the coffee drinks are inventive and their espresso is quite tasty. i will say they do seem a bit more crafted for a photo vs the taste. the biscoff one had a ton of marshmallows but only a few on the top were toasted and ton on the bottom just raw marshmallow sitting in my coffee. it was a bit weird but it looked pretty! when we got the blueberry cheesecake it didn't have any sort of cheese foam or cheese flavor and the blueberries inside weren't muddled, by the end of my coffee i just had some large fresh blueberries to pick out and eat. i do wish it was more of a homemade jam or syrup instead. my #1 issue though is the matcha. it's pretty but after being mixed it's just milk, you don't taste the matcha whatsoever. i'd suggest to add another shot of matcha going forward so it has some more matcha flavor, right now the milk to matcha ratio is extremely off. the cherry syrup is great though and i saw him hand whisk the matcha , so i know it's high quality. but sadly there's just not enough of it to balance out the milk. the drinks are quite expensive but they are using top notch ingredients and trying to create a good experience. but unfortunately the drinks missed the mark for me.

The aesthetic is modern urban zen garden and arranged so beautifully. I will be here a lot, especially in the summer. Also, Eteri is pup friendly! Major bonus points!

Quaint little shop that's actually bigger than it appears from the outside…read more I personally found it really difficult to locate the issues you're looking for. It's not organized in an obviously clean way. But +1 to the worker who was there when I came in. Really helpful and knew where everything was. Tons of vintage comics, and some modern back issues (but not a whole lot). When I came in on a Saturday, this week's new releases were nearly gone already so I suspect they don't order a whole lot each week. But that wasn't why I visited the shop anyway. I thought the older issues were priced pretty fairly and they also tend to bundle whole series together, in case you're interested in buying the entire set / don't want to hunt down all the issues separately. Not so much in terms of collectibles. Random modern comic book movie memorabilia and old carded GI Joe figures. Some Funko Pop figures, but that's pretty much it. Overall it's a pretty good shop, but again, they get brownie points for knowledgeable staff!

While they won't have every book under the sun, they have a lot. I'd say I find the particular book that I went in looking for 85% of the time. They also take donations! I always see folks carting in large bags of books, ready for their next life. The staff are always so helpful, the space is cozy and exactly what you'd want your neighborhood bookstore to feel like.
