I will never stop missing the old look of B&N... the cozy, comfy, quiet, old fashioned library type of atmosphere. I used to come here as a child and teenager, reading books for hours. The renovation in 2018 ruined it. Walking through the doors feels like walking into a cramped art gallery or warehouse or airport terminal... you get the gist. Lighting is very bright, display tables and book shelves feel cramped together, and it gets very loud and crowded. Seating area is tight and limited. Want to read, study, or work here? Then you have to come earlier in the day (9-11am) to snag a spot. Need to use electronics to work or study? Then you have to come extra early to grab a spot with an outlet; not all tables have outlets nearby and there aren't enough for everyone. All of these things make it difficult to do anything here. They have their own cafe that serves Starbucks products. The best drink is the brown sugar oat milk shaken espresso. I've tried a few other drinks like the refreshers but they are just average. The biggest ick for me is that I pay close to $8 for a large cup of 70-80% ice even after requesting light ice. Can I get a hell no. Other than that, the employees are polite and friendly. Service can be slow at times but I believe it's a staffing issue. I don't think it's fair that sometimes there is only one of them to take orders and make drinks. This is probably better off as just a grab and go cafe for shoppers. The ambiance is really lacking on what a bookstore is supposed to be like. read more

The service was great all the employees are great. Has many kinds of books for kids and alduts. All the books are pretty expensive.

PROS: very nice upscale Barnes & Noble with great staff and nice places to relax and read at. Enjoy a Starbucks treat inside. Tons of parking too CONS: this is a smaller Barnes compared to other locations. When you do the Cafe at Barnes & Noble, you basically doing Starbucks. The only thing is at this place you have a different non-Starbucks selection of baked cakes, and pastries, they even have sometimes Cinnamon Rolls. And they don't mind you sipping down a coffee while checking out a magazine, yes they still publish those. read more

It's busy with all residents and vistors taking up space to work and read while enjoying the ambiance of the store. It's modern design is definitely a reflection of what the mall represents and it seems that everyone still enjoys a good book nowadays since I observe a lot of people purchasing books still at this store. read more

On 12/6 around 515pm went to the assumed Starbucks in the store to just get a cup of coffee and an expresso, and then head off to our movie. The person behind the cash register could have not been more surly, and when we were next, we said hi how are you, and we got a "hold a minute", not a hi I'm great/bad/hungry or whatever .. and cashier taken back a minute. Cashier got the stuff for the previous order, but seemed to be flustered. We ordered, but one of the order was an expresso and the next order was a red eye, coffee and shot of expresso, and cashier never heard that. Well we explained, and then said that's a Starbucks term, and the cashier said they were not a Starbucks, but they had the sign and all .. whatever ! The person making the coffee was using from what I saw, a machine that did it all. So was watching her, and she did one expresso, then went to the back for some reason, came back, did something else, and then went to the back again, taking nothing with her and coming back with nothing. Also there was a "stocker", who I would think would help when busy, but no .. Got a coffee, with no lid, and asked for a lid, and they said they were out. I/we had enough, not wanting to carry a hot cup around, and asked for a refund. Coffee person seemed confused, and we just left putting the coffee in the trash. And I don't know, something so simple as getting a coffee could be such a pain, and make me want to do a novel on my experience. read more

This incident happened over a year ago, but it still bothers me, so I've decided to write this review. I went to the cafe, ordered a tea, sat down and checked my phone for messages. A woman, who did not identify herself but who have been a manager of some sort, came over to my table and angrily asked me if I had been there the week before. I told her I had not. (I had not been to that B&N's in two or three months.) She then demanded that I leave. I told her I would leave after I finished my tea. She glared at me, then stalked away. I can only think he was mistaking me for someone else, but, in any event, her behavior was totally uncalled for. Clearly this person should not be in a position of management. read more
