I have been using Barks n Purrs for about a year now to cat-sit. When we rescued Willow from the Humane Society I never expected I would need cat sitting. What was that!? But then, shortly after we adopted her my husband, sadly, died. My life changed and all of a sudden I started travelling. My vet's office recommended Barks n Purrs. The first time was stressful for both of us. She had just gotten used to me and her new environment and now I was leaving her. I was really nervous about going away, but after that first trip I was so relieved. I came back and Willow had been so well taken care of. I still hate leaving her (and she knows what suitcases mean! She is not a happy camper when she sees them come out ) but I have to say that now I am never worried about her when I am away. Brandie and Dayna have been such loving, thoughtful caregivers for her. They come in twice a day and I know she is being treated with lots of love and affection while I am gone. Thank you Rebecca for your wonderful service. We started using Barks N Purrs right after we got our new puppy. Rebecca and our dog walker came for a meeting with us and our puppy prior to the walks beginning to make sure the services they provided were in line with our expectations. The services have been outstanding. They played an instrumental role in our puppy's training and her subsequent group walks helped her become socialized with other dogs. They are very flexible with services needed and schedule changes and always friendly and caring. The times I have been home to observe my dog with the dog walker you can tell she really loves them and that it is her favourite part of the day. We have been using Rebecca and Barks & Purrs for over eight years. My dog starting off with puppy visits and walks and I can't say enough good things about Rebecca and her company. Since we moved away from the main service area, we still use the dog boarding services. Our dog always comes home from Rebecca's happy, healthy and clean! He also loves going there so we never have to worry when we are away. He literally can't get out of the car fast enough! Rebecca and her team are very caring, knowledgeable, and professional. We have been with Barks n Purrs for four years now, starting with puppy visits and then graduating to daily walks with his crew. Zeke LOVES his walks, and I love every walker we've had. When we get a sub walker I always hear they are jealous they can't walk him every day lol. They have recently changed their system, so now instead of writing in a book every day what he got up to, pees, poos, etc, (which was also very cool), I get an email with a little written blurb about his walk and sometimes a picture! They have been walking our dog for a year and it is the best part of his day! Rebecca, the owner is so careful about who she hires and she's great at keeping in touch and being accommodating. The dog walkers keep a journal so you know exactly what your dog got up to during the day- so cute! Also, the listing says harbour front, but we're up by Bloor; they cover the city pretty well. I did some comparison shopping before I chose them and their prices are some of the best in the city. But the best part is the tired happy dog we get to come home to. read more

Quinn was a puppy visit client of Tara's and she was amazing! They've been so awesome to us and I cannot recommend them enough! Unfortunately we're moving but I'm not sure we'll find another walking service who loves our dog like Barks n Purrs love our puppy! Barks and Purrs is great! My little niece Pippa (Shih Tzu) loves going for walks with Rebecca and her gang! Rachel, Brandie and Mitch have all walked Pippa at some point and they are so kind and patient with Pippa. They always take the time to put on her jacket when it's raining and feed her lunch after the walks. We always feel so relaxed when Pippa is with them. We've used Barks n' Purrs for more than two years now for both dog walking and dog boarding. Our dog Nugget loves her walks, and have even made quite a few doggie pals from the walks. We always feel Nugget is very well taken care of, and given she's our fur baby, the peace of mind is so important!
