I can't even review the service because I didn't even get the chance to have one. I contacted them the first time by email, the reply was prompt. Good sign. I waited a couple of weeks and confirmed the service. They send me the form (too long and detailed, if you ask me, it takes ages to fill it in). Then I needed clarifications on where to leave my keys.
Called customer service, I spoke to someone who told me "Sorry can't help you, just write your question on another email". Ok, I write another email, I get the reply. Give my credit card number on the form, dates decided, just waiting for the sitter to come to my place. I was supposed to leave on Wednesday, so on Thursday I write an email saying "Please contact me, we only have until Tuesday". No reply. I call customer service on Friday, they tell me "We can't help you (again?), write another email".
So you have a customer service that cannot EVER solve a problem directly? Why have it then? Impossible to speak to someone directly, impossible to go to the Northill office, I tried but it doesn't exist. Ok fine.
That Friday, I write another email with "Contact me, it's urgent!". No reply for the whole weekend.
What kind of company can't reply to an email for 3 days? You can't even reply to a customer who has already approved the service? Comes Monday morning, I only have 2 days left, no appointment and no reply. I wait until 1pm and then write "Sorry I have to find someone else".
The reply? "Thank you so much, I informed the so-and-so department that you cancelled the service". Nothing else.
Not even a "SORRY/We apologize/Please contact us again in the future...". Nothing.
I was very annoyed because I don't like people to tell me they can do a job if they can't.
I wasted so much time calling and emailing VIP Sitters when clearly they didn't have anyone for me. Of course I had to contact someone else at the last minute. Thank God they were quick, but this is very unprofessional.
Dear VIP Sitters, being busy is not an excuse. Don't tell people you can provide a service if you can't. Too many clients? Be careful because when you start losing track of customers, emails and information it's very dangerous.
Just a suggestion: reorganization and downshifting. If you can't handle the workload, you'll end up receiving reviews like this one. read more
