It took me a few groomers to find the perfect groomers for my American Akita. Then I found Barkin Groomers about 2 years ago! I've been taking my pooch here since then. Estrella is extremely helpful and informative! She always takes care of my Yuka & she always comes out looking amazing after her grooming! They always put the doggies safety and well being first. Estrella is THE BEST GROMER!!! I have a senior doggie that has a lot of anxiety and used to hate the blow dryer. Estrella is such a blessing she not only makes him super calm but now he is so calm with the hair dryer. I remember when I picked him up, I was expecting a bad report but she said he was so good! I was such a proud mama Thank you Estrella and your mom for taking such good care of my fur child
In October 2022, I found this place on TikTok and just in time because I have the most hyper dog I've ever owned. He was only 5 months old and I couldn't even bathe him by myself. He kept jumping out of the tub at home. Estrella was honest with me about his first grooming session. He didn't love it but she knew how to read his limits. She played with him after so he could get some positive experiences while being there. Her patience, honesty and advice is why she's the only groomer my pup has seen. My Aussie is dog reactive and she shows me pictures/videos of his progress when another dog is also getting groomed near him. My pup looks and smells amazing for weeks after every session! I definitely recommend Barkin Groomers. Bonus: Theres always plenty of parking in the underground lot. There is also a coffee bean in the same plaza so you can wait there while your pup gets groomed.
I've been taking my dogs here since Estrella's shop was only a few months old. we have been going to her for roughly 3/4 years already. We have been to a lot and I mean a LOT of groomers in the valley but we ultimately go to her every. Single. Time. Not only is she knowledgeable in her job but she makes sure to make it as personable as she can. She takes her time making sure the dogs are okay and if there are any issues, she immediately brings it to our attention and gives her best recommendation that would ensure our dogs were safe and healthy. She gives our dogs a lot of love like they were her own. She cares more about the safety of the dogs than making a quick dollar out of her customers. I can't recommend her enough. Keep doing what you're doing, Star. You have a natural talent
I had a small 7 lb poodle mix before and now have a standard poodle and they are VERY different. If you have a poodle/doodle mix, Star is your girl. Our baby Mia who is over 40lbs LOVES to go to Barking Groomers. She always starts running towards the door and plays and has a ball with them all inside. Star is also SO knowledgeable and helpful with any problems, behavioral, grooming and normal exercise, training, she knows it all! She is such a lovely person and loves all of the dogs that come through her doors, you can see it and feel it. I am so glad I was referred to Barking Groomers and I'm glad our Mia loves the groomers.
I've been bringing my goldendoodle here since he was a baby! I wanted to expose him to the groomers sooner rather than later. From the very beginning, Estrella has always been so amazing with my puppy, Bernie! She has always been super transparent with his limits and his reactiveness. Always keeping in touch during grooming especially if happens to be matted and needs extra grooming, she will verify with me before she moves forward, which is always a relief and so appreciated. She's even helped me with training tips! Bernie LOVES his groomer. He drags me to the door every time. I am so happy I found Barkin Groomers.
I was skeptical about bringing my baby to a new groomer, like any dog mom, but I am so glad I made the call. I found Barkin groomers scrolling on Tiktok, amazed by the Husky de-shedding transformations. I decided to book an appointment for my mini husky. When I picked him up after his appointment, I was amazed at how beautiful his coat was! They texted me throughout the appointment and even asked if I wanted his silhouette trimmed, which I have never been asked before, but it made his coat look 3000x better. He looked so neat! They are also a kennel-free groomer great for those who do get anxious. The customer service exceeded my expectations; they went above and beyond! Oh, did I mention he was done in less than an hour!? It has been a month since his visit, and he still looks freshly groomed! He keeps getting compliments on how white and clean he is! Worth the drive; I will be back. Thank you!
Estrella is the sweetest and most caring groomer! I went once and have never gone anywhere else. She is so kinda and creative with her services! During the seasons, she gives complimentary hand-made bandana collar sleeves and they are sooooo cute!! She also gives the best recommendations with her knowledge from vet school!!! My corgis are very anxious and can be feisty at times, but she knows what calms them down! She still manages to make their little butts look all fluffy & round! She also is super quick and always has them smelling fresh like blueberries

Estrella and her team are great. Being a pit bull owner for the first time, I was very cautious on my choice of groomers. I found Estrella as referral, due to my dog being skittish coming out of his previous groomers. I dropped him off his first time and he was pulling away when we walked in. I trusted her and decided to give her and her team. a shot. When I came back I was glad to find he wasn't locked in a cage, he was running around and playing with the other dogs. Not only was he clean as can be but the next time we came he barged right in without second guessing. She treats these dogs just like they are hers. Thanks again to the barkin groomers family!
I cannot thank Estrella and her team enough! They did an outstanding job working with my Australian Shepherd, Ryu. In advance, I did inquire if they can work with anxious dogs as Ryu had never been professionally groomed prior, and he's always been anxious since his puppy days. She kindly advised it'd be best to utilize CBD and bring him in muzzled for his first time since he does throw warning bites to new faces. To my surprise, Ryu did gravitate towards Estrella, and did not try biting and she was able to complete the full service with no issue. She kept me updated throughout the whole process and it made me feel very calm as well knowing Ryu was in great hands. Worth every single penny and I will definitely be bringing him back here always. Highly recommend visiting this location! Amazing staff, such a cute location as well, very welcoming. Overall, a wonderful experience and I wish I could give them more stars! *I've attached some before and after pictures for reference, you can clearly tell his hair was long and there is a huge difference in his amazing trim. * read more
Estrella is really worth the hype of what you see on Tiktok. She really knows how to take care of her clients. My dog came in lookin pretty rough and she completely transformed her. I don't think I've seen her this white in a while. Unfortunately, my dog had a little poppy accident and Estrella was so nice and understanding about the situation. She even helped with suggesting a new diet for her so she can be healthier and grow a nicer coat. Such a great help. Her prices were also reasonable as well. Love this place, will definitely be booking again for her next appointment! Highly recommend 10/10 read more

I had a small 7 lb poodle mix before and now have a standard poodle and they are VERY different. If you have a poodle/doodle mix, Star is your girl. Our baby Mia who is over 40lbs LOVES to go to Barking Groomers. She always starts running towards the door and plays and has a ball with them all inside. I have been going to Barkin Groomers since January 2022. At that time, I was a new dog mom, my Chico was barely 1 year old, and I was very nervous. I found her videos on TikTok and decided to go here after seeing Estrella show so much patience and compassion toward all types of dogs. She was and has always been the same way in person. You can tell she loves animals so much and her love is so pure. She is very honest and so knowledgeable. She answers any questions I have and has great recommendations. During the summer, when my Chico came in with flees, she was understanding, gentle, and gave him special shampoo to help his skin. Estrella and her mom do an amazing job with my Chico's grooming. He leaves Barkin Groomers smelling so good, looking more white, extra fluffy, and so happy. He's a Pomeranian so Estrella has to use scissors to give him the cut he needs and she does an AMAZING job. You can see her natural talent and how much attention she gives my Chico. They are the only groomers I go to and I am more than willing to make the drive to Encino from Gardena. read more

Estrella is wonderful. My dog is very fearful, nervous and reactive to dogs, he gets very nervous around people and can be a handful sometimes. But Estrella was and continues to be amazing with him. She takes her time and makes him feel very at ease, gives him tons of affection and really makes him feel comfortable with his spa days. We've been coming here now for almost 3 years and will always recommend Barkin Groomers. Customer service is always 100/10 && it's always lovely to have a report on how well he did after his spa day. Barkin groomers is the only place I trust with my dogs grooming. I have a poodle puppy that has been coming to barkin groomers since he was 3 months old. He is on an every 4 week schedule to make sure he stays accustomed to the grooming process. Barkin groomers has always done excellent work on his coat, from bathing with high quality shampoos and conditioners to ensuring his coat his well brushed out and styled. They always make sure the dogs safety and well being is put first. Customer service is amazing, animal care has always been a top priority for them, and their overall grooming techniques are some of the best I have seen locally. The salon is always clean and sanitary. I would never go anywhere else or trust any other salon with my animals. read more

I randomly found Barkin Groomers because they are in the same shopping center as my nail salon. Was looking for a local groomer to take my 6 month old puppy to help expose her to new experiences. And I couldn't of been happier! They texted me while the grooming was happening and had her done in 30 minutes! She was super clean and had the cutest bandanna on. Very happy with their services and will happily go back. Highly recommend!! read more

I was very concerned when I first was looking for the perfect groomer for my fur baby, especially since coming from a tough past, he is easily skittish. i've been going to estrella since i couldn't groom my big guy myself anymore & it's been a year & she has never failed to do the job! she's honestly the best! & if it weren't for her honestly my dog would be bald ! Zeus had skin issues & she made me realize it might be the food he's eating & she was right! my boy has so much hair now & doesn't itch as much as he used to all thanks to her! he is an outside dog so you already know he gets super musty but estrella never fails to leave him smelling so good & his white spots looking so clean! she also helped his yeast skin issues! honestly my dog is really big & stubborn & she has so much patience with him! thank you estrella! read more

Hands down one of the best groomers I've met ! I've been to about 12 different groomers to find the best combination of price and care/ handling for my 2 huskies and mini Doberman and most of the time I'd find they wouldn't brush their teeth or brush their coats correctly or even cut their nails even though I payed in advanced for it ‼ Estrella Takes her time and makes sure all the criteria is met and I'm pleased to say ...
