After several phone calls to others, I was referred to Eckelman's. After using their service, I have now signed them up to take over my sewer requests for the business I run. I have been more than happy with them. DeWayne the Service Tech for Eckelman's has been more than helpful on getting the issues resolved quickly and efficiently. He has been really good about reporting back to me the issue and even taking the time to explain what needs to be done to fix the problem. He also uncovered a big problem I had that should have been "fixed" by another sewer company. He immediately took care of it. I highly recommend them and plan on using them from here on out. The prices have been very reasonable! Homestead MHP - Columbus, IN

They pumped both tanks and replaced the non-working pump with a Little Giant-branded pump (good pumps by the way). Larry, the agent in the office explained why they didn't use a Zoller pump (used to be the gold-standard in pumps, but have had issues in recent years). The prior pump had lasted about 10 years and it was around $150 at the time. The new pump was $315, but what doesn't cost double what it did 10 years ago, so I don't believe I over-paid for it. They were both efficient, professional, and friendly (I like friendly). Anyway, the job was done correctly and efficiently, and both tanks were squeaky clean when they were finished. I hadn't compared pricing for the service, but my intuition says they were close in price to the competition. I would have Snyder's out again in a heartbeat. Great work, decent pricing, professional and friendly technicians. They should be on your short list if that type of service is ever needed. Thanks Richard, Larry, and Robert!

During the coldest nights, our pilot light would go out leaving us with no heat at night. We called…read moreJohnson to come look at our boiler system. After the tech worked on it, the pilot light wouldn't come back on at all. He told us it was a valve he had to overnight to us leaving us with no heat for 4 days in below zero temps. After finally receiving the part (which was a $1000 valve), he installed it but the system still didn't work. The tech tried to tell us it was the heating element at $6000 or we can just replace the entire system for $9000. We told him to put the system back together and leave. After a couple of days, we hear a loud banging in my pipes and then my heat turns back on. After researching ourselves, we realized this tech at Johnson couldn't figure out that we had frozen condensation in our pipes which prevented our heat from working. Id also like to mention that bf this tech began working on our system, he had told us that he had just come from another call that he couldn't fix, and had to sell them an entirely new system. I'm believing now that this is their goal. To sell new systems, not fix the problem.D

The plumber assigned to the job brought a helper to evaluate and quote the work. He also spent some time at the plumbing supply house determining if parts were available to fix the failed fixture. They determined that we would need a new fixture. My wife worked with the supply house and selected and purchased the fixture. Once we had the fixture in hand we received the quote for this installation.  I was dismayed to see the quote for the installation work was $3877.00! When I asked for more detail I was given a verbal summary of the additional materials for the work that seemed to amounted to less than $50. We notified Lohmeyer that we intended to reject their proposal. I contacted another reputable local plumber and received a quote for about  $400 for installation. I accepted the quote, and the work was completed quickly and to my satisfaction. The plumber and his helper spent less than 2 hours to complete the work. We then received a bill for $595 for the service rendered. Note that they charge much more to quote this job than a reputable plumber charged us to complete the job. If you work with Lohmeyer I recommend getting a firm quote before they start the work. Then again, I would not recommend trying to do this as I think it will be a waste of your time. They are very friendly and the technicians are very professional however. We used them to do electrical wiring for our basement, it was two new breakers to install three light switches and a dozen led light boxes, just under 7k. They were supposed to do plumbing of a bathroom sewage pump, valve for a softener to drain, and shower install with a rough out for a sink, 9k. They miss-scheduled the appointment for plumbing and instead of just saying oops let's fix that they spent their time telling me I scheduled Monday and Tuesday and it's a two day appointment so that's why I am receiving multiple reminders for my appointment on Monday and Tuesday to start, despite my repeating it is Tuesday and Wednesday because I would not be home on Monday as I told the tech who did the estimate. The electrical part they would not take payment for until they finished the job despite my request to pay as they go. Since it requires the plumbing team to finish first they said they would come back when their plumbers finished, still daily texts and calls to schedule the final electrical which according to their tech couldn't be done until the plumbing THEY were scheduled to do. Their AI based system is terrible. Their work is quality and their human customer service team is frustrating but friendly. We canceled the plumbing and now will cancel the finish work for electric as well. Too expensive to justify these annoyances in my opinion. We were convinced to buy their service plan for our ac and electric, not sure what that really gives us but we won't be using it now anyway. I'd caution anyone from using them without a few estimates first.
