After the tech worked on it, the pilot light wouldn't come back on at all. He told us it was a valve he had to overnight to us leaving us with no heat for 4 days in below zero temps. After finally receiving the part (which was a $1000 valve), he installed it but the system still didn't work. The tech tried to tell us it was the heating element at $6000 or we can just replace the entire system for $9000. We told him to put the system back together and leave. After a couple of days, we hear a loud banging in my pipes and then my heat turns back on. After researching ourselves, we realized this tech at Johnson couldn't figure out that we had frozen condensation in our pipes which prevented our heat from working. Id also like to mention that bf this tech began working on our system, he had told us that he had just come from another call that he couldn't fix, and had to sell them an entirely new system. I'm believing now that this is their goal. To sell new systems, not fix the problem.D

They completed the work quicker than expected and my total bill was actually less than quoted. The technician was personable and listened to my concerns before starting the work and gave me feedback and solutions based on his experience. Great experience for me and I will use Johnson Heating again.

Pricing not transparent nor reasonable: We asked Lohmeyer…read morePlumbing to install a bath faucet and drain fixture for a stand-alone antique-style bath.   The original fixture failed and leaked. The plumber assigned to the job brought a helper to evaluate and quote the work. He also spent some time at the plumbing supply house determining if parts were available to fix the failed fixture. They determined that we would need a new fixture. My wife worked with the supply house and selected and purchased the fixture. Once we had the fixture in hand we received the quote for this installation.  I was dismayed to see the quote for the installation work was $3877.00! When I asked for more detail I was given a verbal summary of the additional materials for the work that seemed to amounted to less than $50. We notified Lohmeyer that we intended to reject their proposal. I contacted another reputable local plumber and received a quote for about  $400 for installation. I accepted the quote, and the work was completed quickly and to my satisfaction. The plumber and his helper spent less than 2 hours to complete the work. We then received a bill for $595 for the service rendered. Note that they charge much more to quote this job than a reputable plumber charged us to complete the job. If you work with Lohmeyer I recommend getting a firm quote before they start the work. Then again, I would not recommend trying to do this as I think it will be a waste of your time. They are very friendly and the technicians are very professional however. We used them to do electrical wiring for our basement, it was two new breakers to install three light switches and a dozen led light boxes, just under 7k. They were supposed to do plumbing of a bathroom sewage pump, valve for a softener to drain, and shower install with a rough out for a sink, 9k. They miss-scheduled the appointment for plumbing and instead of just saying oops let's fix that they spent their time telling me I scheduled Monday and Tuesday and it's a two day appointment so that's why I am receiving multiple reminders for my appointment on Monday and Tuesday to start, despite my repeating it is Tuesday and Wednesday because I would not be home on Monday as I told the tech who did the estimate. The electrical part they would not take payment for until they finished the job despite my request to pay as they go. Since it requires the plumbing team to finish first they said they would come back when their plumbers finished, still daily texts and calls to schedule the final electrical which according to their tech couldn't be done until the plumbing THEY were scheduled to do. Their AI based system is terrible. Their work is quality and their human customer service team is frustrating but friendly. We canceled the plumbing and now will cancel the finish work for electric as well. Too expensive to justify these annoyances in my opinion. We were convinced to buy their service plan for our ac and electric, not sure what that really gives us but we won't be using it now anyway. I'd caution anyone from using them without a few estimates first.

We live in an old house, so it sadly came with the territory and we had to hire their services for repairs that were beyond our skill level. Our trust with them came to a screeching halt when the time came that I needed to speak with management. We've had an almost 3-year HVAC issue, where five different technicians kept doing leak searches (and charged us for all of them) with no offers for long-term solutions. After my initial call to hopefully address this, it took about a week for them to send me a text offering the minimum possible resolution without even speaking to me. Conveniently, the call-back number they sent didn't work, either. It just goes to show that their management doesn't have the professionalism or courage to have actual conversations with loyal customers. They all hide behind the veil of their customer experience team who unfortunately don't make the decisions. I've never been so relieved to move on from a company whose leadership doesn't value their members.
