Long story short, Benji did GREAT and all thanks to HPM! Firstly, as a commuting worker, the chauffeur service was amazing. They gave me a window for pick up and drop off a week in advance and were perfectly on time. You can tell that they really love their dogs upon their greeting and departure. Second, Benji loved having a huge yard to run and play in. I got a picture the first day (attached) and a video the next of him playing! It really put my nerves at ease. First off, they do use prong collars for the correction method. We were familiar with this and already had a prong from another place we attempted training at. If you don't already have one, they have collars you can purchase. I am so surprised to see the other reviews of people thinking they are harsh on their dogs.. They are firm, but fair with the dogs. Our trainer absolutely adored every dog I saw them with. These dogs are there to get trained, not pampered. Anyway, when you come to pick up your dog after the 3 weeks, you get 3 one on one lessons to schedule. The first one is that day, and it can be a little overwhelming, but if you have any questions they are receptive to any phone calls. Speaking of the phone- As this is a training facility, they aren't always able to answer right away, but they do call back within a few hours. If (when) we get another dog, I would absolutely use this program again.

My senior dog can't take epic grooming sessions, and her hair was choppy and uneven after her last groom. Her ears and tail had been weirdly shaved, and I wasn't sure we'd be able to make her look normal again during her lifetime. The staff at Rover's is friendly, patient, and knowledgeable. The groomer we saw today has been grooming for 18 years, and had my sweet pup groomed in 45 minutes--and it's the best cut she's had in years. She did what she could to round out her ears, and to help set her up with a cut she can grow back into and look like herself again. My dog is fluffy, soft, adorable, and HAPPY! As a side note, all of the groomers there today were being so warm and friendly with the dogs in their care. I even saw one groomer sitting on the floor keeping a dog company while it waited for its owner. We will be going to Rover's for our grooming from now on!!

Stu has been a complete game-changer for our German Shepherd, Nova. We all know taking the time to practice and train each day can be tough- which was honestly what my husband and I struggled with most- but Stu holds you accountable. He consistently follows up to see what's working and what needs improvement. Each session, he challenges both you and your dog in real-life scenarios (trains, sirens, bells, whistles, grooming tools, skateboarders, kids baseball/football games, strollers, men with hats, kids with backpacks- YOU NAME IT!) which has made all the difference. He also brings his own dog to training sessions from day one--something we'd never experienced before. Because Nova was extremely reactive to other dogs, having a calm, well-trained dog present right off the bat was crucial. It allowed her to learn how to stay composed and focused in a controlled environment, and the progress we saw from this alone was incredible. In addition to having his dog present in every session, he also offers group classes most Sundays. This gives us the chance to work in close proximity to multiple dogs and put our training into real practice. This consistent exposure has been essential for Nova's progress--and is truly an opportunity you won't find elsewhere. Stu doesn't rely on treat training like so many others. He focuses on helping you build respect with your dog, which truly is the only way to achieve long-lasting results. The transformation we've seen is unbelievable. Before working with Stu, my confidence walking our high-energy German Shepherd was shaky at best. The second another dog came into sight, panic kicked in. Now, I can walk her calmly (sometimes even with a stroller!) and feel totally at ease, knowing she won't pull me into traffic or react to other dogs. I normally work from home, but I do have to travel a few times a month for work. When I do have to travel, I don't want the dogs to be stuck in the house all day without being let out to relieve themselves or get some fresh air, so I have someone from Candy's (often Candy herself) come to my house a couple of times during the day for nice pet visits. Candy often sends me pictures of the dogs while she is there via text messaging, and I know for a fact that she actually gets on the floor with them to give them love and attention because I can tell from the angle on the pictures. I'm extremely picky about the care of my pets, probably to the point of obsession, but I really trust Candy's team to take great care of my "kids" when I can't.
